  • heeheehee wouble-woo! that's the best. i am saying this from now on :D

  • Wow, "War on the alphabet" tends to be a fav. of a lot of folks (too bad it all goes down hill from there, ha).

Thanks for the comments, and don't you worry, I'm working on the "related fields" part. :)

  • I enjoyed the section on the English language. Having just completed four years of English Literature, I do enjoy a good knock on the language.

I would also like to say that I do enjoy your shows and think that you have a fantastic voice, one that is perfect for what you are currently doing with it on YouTube and would be great in other, related fields.

  • Perhaps we should all adopt the Japanese Alphabet...

  • Haha, as a linguistics student, I'm forced to accept english spelling as it is - but the logical side of me thinks "this is really dumb". Oh well, at least it's not as bad as French. You poor Canadians, you have to deal with two languages that have screwed-up spelling instead of just one.

  • The number 39 is highly over rated because of it's proximity to the champion of the double digits number 40.

  • you know, if "C" replaces the "CH" sound, then you actually DON'T need H to spell itself.

  • But Aych became Haych remember? So it is actually Hayc

  • But if you keep it Aych and don't have the H in front of it, then it's Ayc, because "c" makes the "ch" sound. ...wow that's actually rather confusing. I'm not sure that makes sense. I sound run this one by my English teacher..... -confused herself-

  • hahaha on the spelling thing. You'd like Finnish. We spell it like it's pronounced...without absurd extra letters. i.e. philosophy=filosofia

And how you spelled those words in the vid would actually be how a Finn who has no knowledge of how to spell anything in English would write them (nekst eksiting) XD

aaaanyways, enough about random facts. Great job on the vid!

  • You've just given me SO many more reason to visit Finland. (finally, a place where I'm accepted...or is it "aksepted"?)

  • yes indeed, yu wuld be aksepted and welkomed XD

  • Alphabet wars...Keuite an intruiging idea.

  • your vlogs make me smile. :)

    rawr~

btw, once you finish with the alphabet and numbers, I recommend you move on to snigglets (words that should be in the dictionary, but aren't).

  • LOL. So that's why there was a paper marked "Secret" hanging in your room... Hehe... Gives me an idea actually... *Grins mischiviously...* xD

  • God I love your voice. xDD

    Very funny, as always.

  • Dude, the alphabet is more sacred that any other man-made thing in the world. Even more than numbers. (I'm a writer, without letters and proper grammar, life is meaningless). If i made internet videos, I'd be campaigning FOR better grammar. Chatspeak has decimated the literacy of a generation. And you Americans don't use nearly enough U's in your words. XD

But other than that, great vid. I always find you hilarious :D (ps, what was that damn 50th item???)

  • He's actually Canadian dude. So he'd be using plenty of Us if he had too. WHICH HE DOESN'T XD

  • OMG, now that you mention it, i totally knew he was canadian from Kt Shy's comic. My bad. XD

    Sorry Shagster. I totally forgot.

...so, i retract that part of my previous statement. The alphabet still rules though...XDDD

  • Ha, see, I thought you just changed topics, going on a tangent on all culture's spelling, ("And you Irish people? Don't get me STARTED with your spelling.") so I had no idea how to respond.

    :)

  • Yeah, I should probably keep my silly rants about grammar and English to myself instead of assaulting everyone else with them (especially someone as comedically brilliant as you).

Lolz at the Irish. XD At least they sound awesome.

  • *after tacking the secret to the wall** "That's just going to be annoying you through the whole show isn't it?. . . Poke, poke."

Lmao. Shaggy, your a genius. before i actually started watching these vlogs, i was reading your sisters comics and i thought she exaggerated, but your are truly a funny funny dude!

  • Reminds me of Charlie Brooker's Screenwipe, except a lot less cynical!

  • I LOVE ME SOME SCREENWIPE.

  • Wouble Weu HAHAHA.

  • First time viewer here.

I've been a fan of your sister's webcomic Shrub Monkeys for a long time though.

You 2 canucks are mighty clever, creative, and hilarious!

I can only imagine you guys' little sister H.E.S. is just as awesome.

  • I'm fairly sure she's gonna surpass us (man, if we had access to the technology she does when we were her age?)

  • Very nice, very nice. I like the Wouble Woo the best. I should go around calling it that now. I am going to have to write all these letter pronunciations down so that I can remember them.

  • I love your hat during the rant.

  • this is freakin' hilarious! XD

  • Omg I love your wicked sense of humor!

Woublewoo... Omg... And the previeuw of the next episode... I don't think I've ever laughed that hard.. Damn...

Okay, so that's it from me! Give my love to your sister (I worship her on DA ;) )

    xXx

    Ewa

  • My lady friend and I recently discovered that, according to wikipedia, another pronunciation of Z is izzard.

  • OMG <3

You made me laugh sooooo hard with the alphabet stuff.

I often explain to people that English is the most complicated, retarded language ever.

  • I'm learning Japanese, and I'm still inclined to agree with you, ha.

  • Dude, then you should know that I believe Japanese is the easiest language, PERIOD. And I'm not just saying that because I'm Japanese. I'm saying it because we have the hardest time learning other languages. D:

  • Oh don't get me wrong, I'm enjoying the class, it's just hard to wrap my head around terms and particles that have NO translation whatsoever (many manga translators have said at times it's more of an art than a science).

  • Oh, well, that's more of a culture learning thing than anything else. What I do when I need to explain that stuff is like, try, and then realize I've practically vomited up a spew of total nonsense.

Good luck in the class though, seriously. :D You'll need it when you want to pick up chicks in a future visit to Japan. (I was traumatized finding my father's "American Bachelor's Guide to Japanese Women" in our basement a few years ago... It was absolutely awful. XD)

  • :D that is perhaps the most amazing thing I've heard all day.

  • The nonsense vomit or the guide to japanese women?

by the way, you inspired me to start a vlog of my own, which I actually stayed up and forgot to do English homework for. XD I'm uploading right now.

  • Noooo!!!! I dont see my own comment T___T .... I just gathered the courage to say something embarrasing to you T___________T

  • Oh ye of li'l faith. If only you knew the thing I have in store for you :D

(it's actually been long delayed but should be done soon).

  • Do you know how red are my cheeks atm? XDD

  • Bad Borkin. Hahahahah.

  • XD You have the perfect radio voice...

  • So to compensate for your grammatical foul-up, we get to read the secret next time, right? :D

  • YES this is what us dyslexic ppl need!!!

i swear the alphabet is totally biased against us with spelling impediments (thank god for firefox and spell check or this would make no since XD)

  • I have to help out the letter "C" here. The Latin alphabet, which so many languages descended from (like English) pretty much ditched K and preferred C, which made the K and S sounds. I know, who would know this? I've had to defend the C before since my name starts with it.

Also, congrats on the views ^.^

  • Haha, u r sooo funny =D

  • Haha, I just always thought the misspellings were intentional, like a lolcats kind of thing.

And I must say, I can't wait until you get really popular. Then I'll be able to boast :

"That's right, I used to watch his vlog before he was popular and thought that 2000 views was a milestone."

  • Ha, actually those 3 guys thought that as well, regarding "intentional: miss-spelling.

No, typos are one thing I must admit fault to, for they are in my blood.

  • Whoo!

I prause thee defender o th typs!

    lpl :) keuuite nice ceif.

  • .....You make me laugh. :'D

  • i like your style =]

  • I don't know what the big deal is about the spelling. So many people don't even use normal spelling anymore on the internet, ex. LOL, WTF, TTYL.

Even though I think spelling and knowing proper english is important, when it comes to the internet, as long as I know what you're saying then you can spell it however you want.

Also the paper on the wall did bother me a lot, what's the secret?!

  • so many secrets!

    What's the 50th thing!

What secret did you write on that paper...!

  • My show is JUST like LOST, more questions than answers. :D

  • 17 is dumb?

    never thought of that~

    rofl.

  • Debes intentar aprender el español-su alfabeto tiene más sentido. Pero la q sigue causando problemas...
