she have that millions of other Canadians didn't get off of the news by watching the same video. That's right she didn't her only evidence is someone got in a confrontation with the cops he died, the cops must be guilty. Funny how she has tried, convicted, and sentenced these officers based on her "evidence" in such short order. I guess in her mind fair and due process doesn't apply to law enforcement, but I forgot we're all murders and liars anyway.
For what its worth this lady is entitled to her opinion but how can she , with a straight face, say what should or should not have been done. I doubt she has ever been in the law enforcement profession or experienced a situation like this. I guess the general consenus is that if someone fights or resists an officer and they die in the course of that struggle then the offiicer is guilty of murder no matter what. She readily claims that she has no evidence of something, what evidence does..
Theres nothing like an international incident - Thanks to The RCMP, all of us Vancouverites get to look like ass-holes to the rest of the world - and just in time for the 2010 Olympics too. I feel embarrassed to travel because of it and I hope that people dont harbor negative feelings and ill-will towards people from Vancouver, because of the incident. This whole thing has had a lot of people talking, all around the globe - and everyone in entitled to their opinion too.
Yes, you are correct. You seem intelligent and well spoken, and I do agree with you to an extent.
However the guy didnt speak English and he was smashing computers and breaking things - I was shocked by his destructive behavior - His behavior was very disorderly, erratic and irrational - Not the kind of behavior you would expect to be displayed in an international airport - especially in a post September 11th world.
I don't approve of what happened to Robert nor view his death as a forgivable circumstance of some unfortunate accident (contrary to that, I believe it was deliberate), but you need to get solid facts first. Wikipedia easily provides a digested information on the Robert Dziekański issue.
Until today I thought tazers were used only with pigs before slaughtering them, so that they will not feel pain or what ever else but seems there are many other areas tazers can be applicable.
Look, my granfather came as a refugee from Poland, thanks to the SS. Before he set foot here, he could function in Polish, Ukrainian, Russian, German AND English. Nor did he toss furniture at people...
After planning to come here for EIGHT YEARS, it never occured to Dziekanski to learn either official language. He had a CRIMINAL RECORD (for robbery), which begs the question of why he was allowed to enter the country. He was a belligerent drunk who threw stuff at people. This was good riddance.
Um, I like to know what your law enforcement backround is. Because you seem to have a unrealistic idea of how the world works. The guy died because of an accident, they didn't wake up that day wanting to murder someone, if you don't understand that then you obviously don't know the nature of why a human being typically becomes a police officer, way to make a unbiased comment.
much of they have maybe high ambitions, but that what is going after experiences in police work it depends. You call this accident, but what's that? what was wrome whit them that time? You think that they had all good intention and that was by accident, rubbish
That Constable was putting his baton away. He had extended it, but chose not to strike the subject. To close it, he had to tap it on a hard surface (the floor). Your opinion is important but get all the facts...
the guy was mad because of delay and wanted smokes i hear... that's beautiful... yea right, these clowns are out of control, this is only the beginning of things to come.
the government related fuckers is the real criminals in this country. taking our tax money, taser innocent people, coming up with the dumbest fuckin laws i've ever heard, etc etc face it, another hitler-era had begun. soon the government will take over all by force. I might as well go kill myself before that happens.
The post below is about me 2 days ago i,m charged with causing a disturbance while having a stroke, only because of what i do. Januray 10 2007
Canada police left me ,a disabled stroke victim on the ground in front of the hospital called him a terrorist and when he asked for their badge numbers they told him to fuck off is this cool if not stick it to canada pigs on my site please help me i did nothing only help people abused by police .
First off DanaDurfReturns it is not Rectum852thanks, great to know you can spell.... And Spirit... Put myself in that man's shoes.... first off, I wouldn't be acting like a menace at an AIRPORT of all places. Throwing things around and trying to barrcade myself at the airport isn't exactly a sane person's reaction. I can see how horrible it was for him to have to go through a long flight and then still be stuck at the airport, BUT I would never act the way he was. They were just doing there job
you know the cops cover up0 so many murders and crimes but never had a bad cop ever they all get off ,how could the government kids keep getting off with out charges ,just transfer some where they can destroy with out people knowing they are killers ,its the cops that have destroyed canada
He was retracting his telescoping ASP. It's one way of doing it...The other more citizen- friendly is to tap the tip horizontally untill the retract detent is found... Then simply collapse by hand. I hope this cleared things up for you?

The guy couldn't speak English, he wasn't armed, he was frustrated.
There is no way four well-built cops could not have overpowered a tired, unarmed middle aged man without the use of the taser.

I think you guys don';t know what you are talking about. It's so easy for you to sit there and critize what they did.

If this happened to you- wouldn't you want people to question the authorities actions?
Or just say that you deserved it? Put yourself in that man's shoes and see if you arrive at the same conclusion.
