@autochanges in the open there was about 50, in the childrens there was between 20 and 30.
yeah i guess it was hard, i had a rail and it put me out of ribbons. lots of good riders and horses, but i would say like a normal A show, just maybe more people
Nice! I love a spunky jumper. You rode her well, she could move up into a higher division. Have you tried that? It is quite possible that for some youth riders she maybe a bit strong & that could hurt a sale. So try her in a different category. Your speed is perfect, keep it up. She is a nice girl. Give her a kiss from me. That is if you still have her.
@ProShowJumper thank you! she used to do mini prixs and all those when she was younger, but shes 18 now, 17 in the video, so shes not that clean after 3'9".I've jumped her 4'6", and we did 4'3" frequently, but to show at that height is just asking a little too much from her now.
Your equitation is beautiful! you sat up so straight and balanced the whole time! and your mare has amazing speed even doing the roll backs! You both looked like a great team and those were some amazing rides! good job on your placings!
I think your having trouble selling her, because i can tell your mare is difficult to ride. BUT, let me tell you, that you ride her fantasticly!!!!!!!!! The selling problem is that your mare can easily intimidate a rider because she's so athletic/hot and she also looks like she has an opinion lol. Riders want a comfortable, rythmical and easy ride but you will be the one that can ride anything. She needs someone with just as much balls as you do lol.
you have insanely good eq! and your jumper rounds were amazing!! :D to those making rude comments - shut the hell up, thats what a trainers for not the people of utube who dont have anything to back em up anyways. great job! :)
Great video. Very cute horse, she jumps quite well. She seems to run away with you a bit, try this:
Try her in a stronger bit or noseband. That will calm her down a little, and maybe people will be more interested if she wasn't crazy. My horse used to be wild, but we tried a stronger bit and noseband (a rope noseband under a figure 8). We did practices in the warmup ring were we set up a poll a few strides after the jump, and I would have to halt before it. You should try it with her.
thanks. we've tried, and honestly the less she in, the better she goes. we used to have her in an elevator and a figure 8, but then we switched to a corkscrew and thats what shes in in this video. shes just a throughbred and loves to jump
OMG!!!!!!!! that was amazing angel is a wonder mar, was so scared when i saw her trip then get long to a jump but you o course handled everthing very well, but when i saw it m heart stopped beating i was scared shitless, im glad the show went well.
Dont you love HITS? Ecspecially the track. Next year Im taking my horse just to run the track. And I like the jumper rings and all those jumps. I watched the jumpers the last week, thats the week my friend went. It was fun!
ok first off for those people that are making stupid comments about the turns... WHO CARES, its not some grand prix event and she is not a proffesional and I want to see vids of you people doing those turns on a wet slick course with that horse! so shut your f-ing mouths, post a nice comment that you liked it, needs to work on a few things(CAUSE NO ONES PERFECT NOT EVEN PROFFESIONALS) and leave it at that... my god people you are so annoying sometimes
exactly^.^ it doesn't matter what other people say... if you believe your doing your best, then thats all that matters, not someone elses "OPINION" lol
Well thats when ill be there too!! Im moving the weekend before so I can be there when he arrives.. hes getting in in the afternoon/evening on the 2nd...I want to be there to walk him around cause hes gonna want to stretch his legs after 24 hours on the trailer!!!
why should she make tighter turns in her first course? thats stupid! shes OBVIOUSLY not going to have time faults. if it were a jumpoff then yeah, but she would if it were! that mare can turn on a dime. know what you're talking about before you comment.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
because what happens when she hangs a leg from taking off from so far away? you both will somersault resulting in major injury, if you were more efficient with your turns you would not need to leave out strides and go so fast
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Precisely!!! You didn't ask or tell her to do anything except yank on her mouth to turn and kick her to go faster! You need to watch some upper level jumpers and see that while they go fast, they are not for the most part, scary! They make quick, efficient turns.
She rode the courses nicely. You have to put into play the temperment of the horse and their length of sride. This horse has a long sweeping sride so it is harder for it to have as tight as turns as the horses who have naturally collected gaits so she makes up for it in speed.
um.. she has been riding this horse forever and she knows what she is doing. and she didnt yank on her mouth. if you watch her other videos angel takes everything like that or she wont listen. and angel enjoys what she does. you need to shut ur mouth and stop leaving rude comments about them. they are a great team!!!!
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
there are many places to turn in these few courses, where if you had landed not going so fast you could make sharper, smaller turns and cut even more time.
And I've seen MANY nicer turners than this, ones that were balanced and precise, and not scary like you
oh, and in the pouring rain im not gonna flip my horse over by sliding her into a jump on a turn thats not there, if you want to see some real turn, watch her other videos
their turns look as good as any other jumper's. Have you actually ridden jumpers? An experienced jumper as yourself would know, Im sure, that the footing is not always ideal to make "quick efficient turns" as you are suggesting. The course looks a bit slick and she is doing a good job. Why push for perfect time until the jump offs
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
hmm for example at 3:04- had you been going slower, you could have made the turn inside those standards and had a quick efficient turn, instead you ran your mare away from the jumps and turned her (with only your hands) and wasted time
Ok. So how much? And, would you be willing to ship her to Cali? because my friend is looking for a new jumper. How does she usually act at shows? and can you trust her to jump the jump you put in front of her?
we are asking $25,000. ya, we shipped her to florida, so im sure we could ship her to cali. @ shows she does get excited, at this show i got her 2 wlk into the ring each time, but sometimes she doesnt go in rite away and "hops" 4 a bit once shes in. but once you get her cantering its a striaght forward ride. she does stop, but never just because, youve got to be in a real bad situation... ive had some really close ones and some really long jumps (6:22) that shes taken w/o thinking twice
o. Darn my friend is looking for a horse but I don't think they would pay that much, but she is definantly worth it! :) I was gonna say you could do a trade but her horse has cofidence issues with jumping but would be amazing at dressage! :)
your so amazing! if i lived in San Antonio I would love to ride with your trainer he must be amazing to teach you guys there to ride so good :] You defiantly going to go to like the Olympics haha im way to scared to jump over 3'6 right now and thats in hunters i haven't even shown jumpers haha. Whoever buys Angel is one lucky person she is fabulous! I hope when i start maybe going to a few of the THJA shows i will see you!
ya, he is good. haha, you'll get there eventually, hunters is definately a good base. That would be cool! you'll hav to look for me or send me a message on youtube so i can look for you!
wow your mare looks like an amazing jumper! she got so much control[ with your help of course lol] while shes going so much faster than the usual jumper!
that's horrible that no one wants to buy her so far. I'm sure it's just because the right person hasn't been presented =). You guys did awesome at the show and if it ends up being your last show it would be a perfect ending.
ya... well actually she'll be home tomorro and we are prolly taking her to the biggest show in texas. its international so hopefully someone from mexico that hasnt seen her will want her
I really like her. She reminds me alot of a thoroughbred mare I used to ride, who was a blast. I would blame the issues on selling her on the poor economy. Everyone is having a hard time selling right now. I honestly would love to get her, but I have a 3 yr old + may be studying abroad next year, so that pretty much ties my hands... Good Luck!
Angel is a great horse. Very fast, but yet she rarely gets a rail down. that's a keeper. and most horses that go that fast, you know they're out of control. but i can tell that she is totally listening to you and you're chosing the pace. I would buy her. its a shame that no one is interested.
Wow that was really good for being really tired and not riding her in a couple of months! Ugh I wish that you could keep her ): I cant believe nobody is interested in her! I totally am but I can only jump 3 ft and I wouldnt wanna hold her back. And plus my trainer doesnt want me going to jumper shows this summer bc Im going to Lendons in August and I have to focus on dressage which I barely even like >l so frustrating!
wow, you've got some good stuff for a sale video. I don't see why no one was interested in her, I'd be if I saw her doing any one of those rounds and knew she was for sale. Did you have the announcer mention that she is for sale?
ya. well everyone thinks shes hard to ride and crazy/out of control.... i though about it, but i kno they wouldnt do it. the only show we've gotten them to was when my friends dad was announcer
you 2 are totally incredible you belong together!! i wouldkeep her ! get her back home and enjoy her !! . . she's an amzing horse and ur an amazing rider! u should keep her
well , yeah , but maybe you can get her where you want her! u'll never now until u try , atleast till someones interested to buy her! *this is a silly question* i have a tb mare and i want to jump atleast 1.20 on her in the future do you think its possible ?
well ive done level 4s with her and she starts having rails... i wanna do grand prixs and stuff and i know she can do that, but she cant do it clean and shed prolly get hurt trying...
ya, thats def possible! when angel was younger she did some mini prixs, and ive seen many thoroughbreds compete in and even win grand prixs
Honestly i am in awe when i watch you guys! There is no better match then you two. I bet with the economy she's just not getting sold, and because shes a bit older, but worth every penny! I wish you would keep her i absolutely love watching you guys. It's amazing i just want to ride =P
You're welcome! Yeah it must be frustrating, but if you cant find someone willing to pay the price you're asking, make sure you find her a home where she will make some girl just as happy as she's made you! I would die to ride her. I'm going to talk to my trainer and show her your videos because i think she would be really interested in her. Since its mainly a jumper barn and she would be spoiled like crazy. And im guessing shes about $30,000?
ever, ive jumped 4'9" on goya. i only jumped angel 4'6" once cause my trainer was showing her off to his son so he might take her to florida, and it worked!
Amazing riding! Maybe bring her down to Wellington to the Winter Equestrain Festival, their will probably be many people that'll be interested in her their :)
Little long there Horsie! haha. Very cool though. I can't believe that there wasn't anyoen interested after all of that. She's obviously amazing! Who's interested at REC?
oh that cool :) we maybe met see each other lol will my trainer say next year I should be doing lvl 2 and lvl 3 jumper maybe lvl 4 lol and I going to be doing hunter and eq there next year :) I am going to just doing a week but idk what week next year
well the show is about $700 but we also do the classic which costs usually between $100 and $150 unless its for a lot of money. but then you also hav trailering and hotel and stuff
well, thats not really too bad is it? ive heard a shows can be up to 1000 :S those are usually 2-3 day shows tho and u can use all of the facitiies. :)
ya, w3ell it really depends on wat classes you do and if you get any prize money, ive had some free shows and some that have cost up to $800, not including the training fees and all the extra stuff
wow you guys look amazing! i bet she was happy to have you back on her cause your the person that knows her best and you let her roll lol hope she finds a home soon, good luck!
How many people were in your class?
Is the compition hard there?
thanks:)

aww, thanks
luvangel5494 3 years ago
I really like her. She reminds me alot of a thoroughbred mare I used to ride, who was a blast. I would blame the issues on selling her on the poor economy. Everyone is having a hard time selling right now. I honestly would love to get her, but I have a 3 yr old + may be studying abroad next year, so that pretty much ties my hands... Good Luck!
jennizlefoshizle 3 years ago
ya, most likely.. but shes been for sale since march last year and it wasnt this bad then. well hav fun if you do study abroad!
luvangel5494 3 years ago
angle is such a great horse.
and you are an amazing rider!
ponyridur 3 years ago
thanks
luvangel5494 3 years ago
Angel is a great horse. Very fast, but yet she rarely gets a rail down. that's a keeper. and most horses that go that fast, you know they're out of control. but i can tell that she is totally listening to you and you're chosing the pace. I would buy her. its a shame that no one is interested.
rachel51893 3 years ago
ya she is, she was a little more carful when we had her at home, but you cant really ask for that much. i kno...
luvangel5494 3 years ago
wow you guys were so amazing !! I can't believe no one will buy here she is such an amazing jumper from the looks of it .
Your so lucky you got to go to florida to show her !! OMG I REALLY want warm weather now !!! hah its like in the twenties where i live .
skipperboots 3 years ago
thanks.
haha i kno... warm, but rainy!
luvangel5494 3 years ago
Wow that was really good for being really tired and not riding her in a couple of months! Ugh I wish that you could keep her ): I cant believe nobody is interested in her! I totally am but I can only jump 3 ft and I wouldnt wanna hold her back. And plus my trainer doesnt want me going to jumper shows this summer bc Im going to Lendons in August and I have to focus on dressage which I barely even like >l so frustrating!
xoHorsesAreMyLifexo 3 years ago
thanks. well i only jumped 2'3" on a small pony when i got her... but i wouldnt ignore your trainer! haha, well have fun!
luvangel5494 3 years ago
wow, you've got some good stuff for a sale video. I don't see why no one was interested in her, I'd be if I saw her doing any one of those rounds and knew she was for sale. Did you have the announcer mention that she is for sale?
EquiRider 3 years ago
ya. well everyone thinks shes hard to ride and crazy/out of control.... i though about it, but i kno they wouldnt do it. the only show we've gotten them to was when my friends dad was announcer
luvangel5494 3 years ago

debby1111 3 years ago
i would if i didnt wanna move up o.O
but i cant do much more with her...
luvangel5494 3 years ago
well , yeah , but maybe you can get her where you want her! u'll never now until u try , atleast till someones interested to buy her! *this is a silly question* i have a tb mare and i want to jump atleast 1.20 on her in the future do you think its possible ?
debby1111 3 years ago
well ive done level 4s with her and she starts having rails... i wanna do grand prixs and stuff and i know she can do that, but she cant do it clean and shed prolly get hurt trying...
ya, thats def possible! when angel was younger she did some mini prixs, and ive seen many thoroughbreds compete in and even win grand prixs
luvangel5494 3 years ago
thanks XD
debby1111 3 years ago
Honestly i am in awe when i watch you guys! There is no better match then you two. I bet with the economy she's just not getting sold, and because shes a bit older, but worth every penny! I wish you would keep her i absolutely love watching you guys. It's amazing i just want to ride =P
xRebelRiderx 3 years ago
aww, thanks! ya thats the main reason sadly..
luvangel5494 3 years ago
You're welcome! Yeah it must be frustrating, but if you cant find someone willing to pay the price you're asking, make sure you find her a home where she will make some girl just as happy as she's made you! I would die to ride her. I'm going to talk to my trainer and show her your videos because i think she would be really interested in her. Since its mainly a jumper barn and she would be spoiled like crazy. And im guessing shes about $30,000?
xRebelRiderx 3 years ago
that would be nice! actually shes $25000 but good guess!
luvangel5494 3 years ago

luvangel5494 3 years ago

luvangel5494 3 years ago

luvangel5494 3 years ago

luvangel5494 3 years ago
great!!! not being nosy, but what does it cost to enter shows like that?? :)
hunterjumper1987 3 years ago
well the show is about $700 but we also do the classic which costs usually between $100 and $150 unless its for a lot of money. but then you also hav trailering and hotel and stuff
luvangel5494 3 years ago
well, thats not really too bad is it? ive heard a shows can be up to 1000 :S those are usually 2-3 day shows tho and u can use all of the facitiies. :)
hunterjumper1987 3 years ago
ya, w3ell it really depends on wat classes you do and if you get any prize money, ive had some free shows and some that have cost up to $800, not including the training fees and all the extra stuff
