  • Moodle anyone?

  • This is what I wanna do:)

  • Ventilatory breakpoint which is the disproporionate rise in ventilation relative to the increse in Oxygen consuption occurs about the same time blood lactate begins to accumulate. So you can get an estimation of blood lactate by looking at the spike in Carbon dioxide consumption VS Oxygen without having to take the subjects blood while he is running . Pretty cool !!!

  • @dragon7590 Quote : "The spike in carbon dioxide CONSUMPTION" ? What is he, a plant?

  • @Hanglands Humans have a small amount of carbon dioxide in their blood. Carbon dioxide provokes the body into breathing and probably has a part in regulating a number of other things we haven't even figured out yet.

  • @linagee Yes, I know normal values for PCO2, and I know about our respiratory drive. But the CO2 is there because we produce it, no? Not because we actively absorb it?

  • thanks, very helpful :)

  • cooooool!

  • Very informative
