  • Where did you buy the volt tester

  • @OX805NARD electronics shop.

  • I road it the night before just fine, but the next morning it wouldn't start so yes the engine was cold and the starter motor was hot. My scooter USE to start up right away before I cleaned the carborator, now it takes a couple attemps like 5 or 6

  • @psylenc Try and remove the starter motor from the engine and connect it directly to the battery. Be careful there will be sparks and maby it will get hot again. If the starter motor dont rotate have a look inside and se whats wrong. There might be a short curcuit or the wires inside might have melted. It should be fairly easy to put a new starter motor on.

  • @scootergrisen I took it off and looked inside and there was oil dirt inside cleaned it out and didn't see anything out of the ordinary, then again i dont know if its suppose to look like this inside or what. I will try connecting it to the battery right now.

  • Could my starter motor have possibly burned out??

  • @psylenc @psylenc If the rest of the engine was hot i guess it would be hot also. But if the engine was cold i dont think that the starter motor i suposed to get hot at all. But your only supose to use the starter motor for maby 5-10 seconds at a time and then give it a rest for a few seconds before using it again. I dont know if it would get hot when using it to long. If the engine was cold and the starter motor got realy hot then yes i think the wires inside could have meltet or something.

  • QUESTION my 50cc scooter ran fine the other night but the next morning I tried to start it and all it does is make that click sound coming from the solenoid/starter relay. What's wrong with it? please help! The battery is new and fully charged.

  • @psylenc Use the starter switch and listen near the starter motor. If there are no sound at all other then the relay click it properly is the wires between the realy and starter motor so check them.

If you can hear the motor going WRRRRRRRR when using the start switch its proberly the starter pinoion that dossent engage right. So you need to remove the variator cover and have a look.

On my scooter there are no fuse for the starter motor but you could check the fuses just to be sure they are ok.

  • @scootergrisen Thanks so very much! I noticed that when the starter motor did try to kick the engine over the first attempt it got really hot to where it couldnt be touched and then it didn't make any action after that. The only noise i hear when engaging the start botton is the relay click..
