@IzScoott you are very wrong. thats how they get injuries. ask any EXPERIENCED owner (such as myself) they need a solid bottom. and that wheel is cheap, too small, plastic, and not safe for them. it bends their back and causes health problems. dont be cheap. I spent $100 on my wheel for my chinchilla and its perfectly safe, and will last years and years.

it's great that you got him a wheel and it looks like he really likes it, but chinchillas really need one that is at least 14 inches in diameter. anything smaller than that can give them back problems. the flying saucer is also a good option.

Ding Ding is very pretty! But I think her wheel is too small. See how her tail is all bent up against her back and her head is tilted back? She can't stretch out properly in that one and will end up hurting her neck or back over time. 38cm diameter is better for them, if you can find it.

Do your research. Plastic is toxic to chinchillas and should never be in their cage. Why put your chinchilla at risk? Invest in a better wheel. If you can't afford to take care of them correctly, than don't get one. Period!

The flying saucer exercise wheel is made especiallly for chinchillas. It's a wheel that supports your chinchillla's health. This wheel is for smaller rodents, but even for them it's not good. You can see it on my clip. Please note; I'm not trying to make publicity, I just wanna give you a tip.
