i got my first pony for like 600. But they said he was a well trained horse and stuff and he was a total moron. i retrained him and hes 15 so it took alot. my best horse was only 250 so good horses can b bought for cheap.

Hey, you don't know the situation. First of all, I DID have to sell this pony. My parents did not have the money at the time to keep her. And second of all, she's been at the same home since she was sold. I saw her last weekend at a horse show and I could tell that her owners love her and she enjoys her job.

Maybe you should think before you make assumptions.

honey, its probably not becuase she doesnt want you to have him/her. Could it be becuase your mom cant afford to keep the horse up with board and everything?And no offence, but if the horse is only 550, unless your prepared to do alot of trianing, i dont know how good it could be.but i know were your coming from, i was in your spot a few years ago.

But you know, you shouldn't spend more than $3000 on a first horse in most senses, bc your first should be an old schoolmaster or been-there-done-that aged experienced type of horse. :) I only paid so much for mine for numerous different reasons. But I agree with you.

its been 2 months sense i bought my horse for 350. I have been working with her 5 days a week and she can now walk ,trot canter and get her lead changes. i just think if you have the time and experence to train your own horse its more worth i than spending 10000 on one.(:

great vid check out mine one thing she was not a good jumper no offense but when a horse jumps they are supposed to tuck there front legs in by their chest but when roxy jumps she throws her legs way out in front of her. anyway cute pony sorry she left.

actually, you're a little off on that part. Roxy's an AMAZING jumper. those pictures were just caught late/early, or the jump was too small. she can jump 5' with perfect form. she's still only 4, so ya know. she's got a long way to go still.

she didn't belong to me. i was leasing her from someone who didn't want her and when the lease was up, i couldn't afford to buy her. so the owners gave her to barn owner who eventually sold her.

A similar thign happened to me, although my horse was not voluntarily put up for sale. My pony fell lame, a rather repeating and off-and-on thing. Eventually, he would turn up lame every couple of days. We had to send him back to his owner (we leased him). Two weeks later, we was sent to a town just north of here, and I haven't seen him since. I wonder what would've happened if I had been able to finish with him. Gorgeous pony.
