Heard this piece 1969 on the radio program of Miss Divine Pascual every 1 pm while she reads love notes. Oh.. how I love her voice! She is gifted with that soothing, distinctive voice. Searched all the music stores in Raon, Cubao looking for this piece. Finally today I searched for Miss Divine's name on Google and found this masterpiece after 42 long years! It really brought tears in my eyes. Thank you very, very much for sharing! GOD bless you.
to: fmb 1008: i wish i could correspond with Divine Pascual. Like you, i was and still is an avid fan of Divine whose well modulated and soft voice captured the hearts of many teen agers then, that includes me, of course. thanks a lot FMB 1008
The good old days, the good old days. Divine Pascual's opening number in her afternoon radio program with the same title over at DZQL in the late 60s. Brings back a lot of happy and sad memories of my youth. Thanks for posting.
@rexramones - i was and still is an avid fan of divine. am glad i was able to see her last Feb 16, 2010. she is the station manager of DWXR rock radio with studios at Strata 2000. she was very gracious enough to read a poem I brought. still the same voice modulation. also, she was very accomodating.
@rexramones Yes I remember Divine Pascual on DZQL. I was a teenager then and I also remember someone reading Ricardo Carbonel's "Beyond Forgetting" being read with this song as background music. Nobody does that on the air anymore.
I believe the story was by Carson McCullers. The version I recall starred Alan Arkin as a man who is close friends with a troubled, younger man. The younger man dies in some manner, and Arkin's chracter, broken hearted, kills himself. . . . Been there. Almost did that. He didn't die. Was just out of reach. Bread's "Everything I Own" became my theme song after that. Then, much later, Dad died and it was "Wind Beneath My Wings" & "The Living Years." (He was a mechanic, too + much else.)
Thanks jokarilon. I've been searching for this recording for the last 10 years. One of the most passionate song ever written. I was teary eyed the first time i viewed it on yotube. i saved a copy so i'll never lose it.
Anybody who's got Miss Divine Pascual's signature song "Little Dancing Doll"?

A very melancholy movie and a hauntingly sentimental tune.

For some reason I don't remember the song or the movie it came from. Hmm. But how nice. How did I miss such a blessing?
