  • Too fast in many parts

  • he plays the start too fast imo, otherwise very nice.

  • 6:28

  • 2:30 is where the magic happens for me

  • @moistfusion Me too I like the fugue part better if you ask me ;)

  • The work of a genius, played by an expert......marvellous.

  • Terrific. 9.5/10 - I just think he rushed it a bit, but it is amazing and well executed.

and i dont know anything about music onl

    y read little partitures

  • uu thats very good im 12 years old i know all toccata and a half of fugue and i love this song!!

  • yeah i have the same name :D

  • awesome. The fugue is brilliant

  • WOW! LOOK AT HIS EAR

  • Bravo!!

    divine!

  • 8 people are in a fugue state ATTOW.

  • Awesome... =)

  • a mio avviso un po troppo accellerata! e vero che e' toccata e fuga pero non incontro sentimento solo una sequenza di musica compulsiva , bach mai ha fatto rok!!!!

  • What a wonderful playing! Thank you Robin.

  • FUKIN AWSOME MAN

  • Awesome job!

I love your interpretation of Bach's ornamentals and timing. I never tire of hearing different interpretations. You'r ranks among my favorites.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • He makes it look so easy!

  • He was playing fast because he was trying to finish before he forget the piece...

  • damn u made that song ur bitch

  • that is the most lovely pipe organ ive ever seen. Props to france for perfecting the art. props to you for memorizing a very mind blowing piece

  • Excellent playing, excellent instrument.

Too bad Bach didn't write this piece. In several editions, this work is no longer included. The latest scholarship points to Bach's pupil Johann Krebs, who probably penned this piece.

Composers leave a common thread through their works, this piece does not relate harmonically, or compostionwise to anything else Bach wrote.

The piece is a compilation of figurations commonly used in the Baroque period, more of a pedagogical summary of the period.

  • Sheer brilliance. I wholeheartedly commend thee, sir.

  • I want one of these in my house.

  • He rushed it :( But amazing nonetheless. I've seen better performances though

  • JB Robin.... Way to go... Bravo Bravo!!!!!

  • Amazing!

  • YOU REALLY HAVE TO LOVE HEARING THE ECHO OF THE BUILDING IN THE BACK GROUND THAT IS WHAT MAKES IT SO REAL.

  • Is JB Robin for Johann Bach Robin :D

  • heeza vampire...

  • That was Amazing....BRAVO BRAVO!!!!!

  • what expert playing a lovely peice to listen to

  • bastard. i can barely play it half way

  • A legend has it that J S Bach came up with this piece while repairing and testing an organ.

  • very professional

  • Simply beautiful.

  • Exceptional, thank you so much.

  • many more unorthoox speed changes than I've seen in most recordings, but I LOVE how he uses them with such dramatic effect. Fantastic performance!

  • What happened to the bass?

  • I don't know if this is "officially" good. (some people seem to think they're qualified to pass judgement on every upload. I'm definitely not qualified and merely know what I like) But this made the hairs stand up on the back of my neck. Bravo!

  • my favorite i fly im far away out of everything

  • Really Awesome.....Great Job!

Played from memory too. Enjoyed it.

  • But what I like is his pronounciation of the g minor chord quaver at 6:29, but it could be made much more dramatic. One of the dramatic highlights of the fugue which most of the organists simply ignore.

So, for 6:29 he gets 5 stars.

  • q fd

  • my god, he doesn't even have a music sheet!

    HE MEMORIZED THE WHOLE PIECE!!

  • @EtrenX This is extremely amazing! Memorizing this piece is brilliant and the performance, too. Keep on playing the beautiful!

    -Friedrich

  • @EtrenX P.S.: I mean the toccata is no problem but the fugue...impossible! :-D

  • @EtrenX

theres nothing hard about that. i know like 25-30 hard pieces by heart.

  • @EtrenX so, that's surprised you? yo have no idea of how many can a musician memorize, so don't be so impresed, try with a hole concerto, like Beethoven's 5th

  • @EtrenX By the time you are actually able to play this piece, you memorized it.

  • a little bit to fast but good work^^

    ceep on doing it^^

  • WOW !!! What a talent on display and what joy to view it too...... Great work!! I salute you Robin!!! Awesome!!! :)

  • excelent

  • Great performance!

  • A true Bach seen here! :D

  • I just noticed this. It doesn't seem like he's reading any notes

  • Dont worry, figured it out....foot pedals (too much red wine) sorry... bloke is still a genius

  • Oi at 5:54 befor ehe reaches the switch the keys on the top two layers move without him ....... it's almost as if the auto pilot kicked in... or was on from the start..... don't believe me watch it. Sorry if i'm wrong and maybe someone can explain it

  • hey what u mean are not an autopilot system or anything like this... u mentioned he wouldnt play itself, instead it came out of the box or dont u?

back to the "stop" which is called. with that you can change the "sound" of the organ. no cheat no trick :-)

  • The pedals also control keys, because you only have 2 hands. He could also have been pushing the pedals to make the keys move.

  • I have been watching Bach a lot an this is awesome, genius and the man is a pure misician...well done....play it loud
