@TheEllenana The Gospels that we have access to were written in greek. Now, Yeshua did not know greek. Yeshua's native language was either aramaic or hebrew, it was not greek. And only in greek can you find some kind of connection between Yeshua saying "I am", and the Name that YHWH revealed to Moshe rabbenu, the connection is not there in aramaic or hebrew. So "Adonai" does not refer to the Messiah Yeshua - Yeshua is lord, master, rabbi, ADONI. YHWH is Lord, God, ADONAI! Blessings!

@frownytown Actually you can be a Jew and a Christian. The disciples were jews who beleive in Jesus and accepted him as their Lord and Saviour!! They are known in this modern day as Messianic Jews and together with Christians make up what we refer to as the Church and will also be raptured and dwell with Jesus or Saviour. I chose to look into other religions to see what they had to offer and after studying several of them including Christianity and Islam I came to the conclusion that these rligions cancel one another out and I am now an Athiest. I don't think humanity will ever know the answers to the questions religion has attempred to answer and I am fine with that. Some people say they need religion to give thier lives meaning. I don't.

I only hope that Paul Wilbur, when singing "Blessed is the Lord" is referring to YHWH, The Only True God, and not Yeshua, the Prophet, the MAN - Well, of course Yeshua is to be blessed too, but the Lord, our God, is ONE, and Yeshua is not Him. When the Jews asked Yeshua was He was the messiah the prophets spoke of he responded his name was "I Am"!! Paul Wilbur is a messianic Jew which means that he accepted Yeshua as his saviour!! @TheEllenana The Gospels that we have access to were written in greek. Now, Yeshua did not know greek. Yeshua's native language was either aramaic or hebrew, it was not greek. And only in greek can you find some kind of connection between Yeshua saying "I am", and the Name that YHWH revealed to Moshe rabbenu, the connection is not there in aramaic or hebrew. So "Adonai" does not refer to the Messiah Yeshua - Yeshua is lord, master, rabbi, ADONI. YHWH is Lord, God, ADONAI! Blessings!

@frownytown Actually you can be a Jew and a Christian. The disciples were jews who beleive in Jesus and accepted him as their Lord and Saviour!! They are known in this modern day as Messianic Jews and together with Christians make up what we refer to as the Church and will also be raptured and dwell with Jesus or Saviour. Messianic Jews accept Jesus as their Saviour but also keep their Jewish tradition. God Bless!!!

@TheEllenana If you have accepted Jesus as your lord and saviour then you are a Christian, not a Jew. Jews for Jesus is a blatant contradiction. You can learn as much Hebrew as you like, but it doesn't make you Jewish. I'm not saying one is better than the other, in fact I think all of the monotheisms are idiotic, but the point is that people of the Jewish faith do not accept Jesus as their lord and once someone does, they cease from being a Jew. Period.

@frownytown Yes, but the disciples were not Christians. They were Jews and if you read the book of Acts, it illustrates that the disciples kept the Jewish traditions, yet Jesus was their Lord and Saviour. We have to remember that Jesus came to fulfill the law of His Father and not to change it so I believe that they can accept jesus and keep their traditions. BTW alot of Jews have accepted Jesus as their Savior and they are now part of the Church. God Bless!!

@TheEllenana Whether one considers themself to be Jewish, Protestant, Catholic, Baptist, or Muslim the distinctions between the Monotheisms are in the beliiefs about Jesus, not God. In the eyes of Christians Jesus is God. To Jews and Muslims he is NOT. Once those disciples chose to worship Jesus they bcame Christians. It doesn't really matter anyway because all of the aforementioned religions believe in one God.

@TheEllenana I was raised Jewish. I studied Torah and had a Bar Mitzvah. I chose to look into other religions to see what they had to offer and after studying several of them including Christianity and Islam I came to the conclusion that these rligions cancel one another out and I am now an Athiest. I don't think humanity will ever know the answers to the questions religion has attempred to answer and I am fine with that. Some people say they need religion to give thier lives meaning. I don't.

@frownytown Your point is well taken and respected but I will continue to maintain my postion on this. However I would like you to clarify something for me: Isn't Jew the race? So if a Jew starts to practice, let"s say Catholicism, he will still be a Jew right? It is my view that Judaism is the religion and is Jew is the race. Just like I am black and a Pentecostant, this does not mean I stop being black. If you can clarifuy this for me I would be grateful.
