  • Bravo!:)

  • all the legends belong to heaven like my mum freddie diana elvis jackson and the stars will always spell out their names but i spell out my mums name with my own stars from my own heart

  • i don't buy the applicaton of this song to Freddie Mercury unless Elton said so. He adapted it to Diana and he didn't write a version for Freddie. I am impressed with Freddie's talents and drive but in the end his seemingly out of control life killed him. no one could entertain like Freddie.

  • The song was not written for Princess Diana...it was first written for Marilyn Monroe.

  • @siriusminx Nope. This version was written for Princess Diana. Read the description, buddy.

  • @taleydaley2012 it was rewritten later on for princess, first is was written for marilyn

  • @frisbee13frat Yuuuuuuup... I know. Read. The. Description.

  • @siriusminx The words for this were rewritten by Elton John and sung at Diana's funeral. The tune is from the original Marilyn Munroe tribute, but this is definitely the Diana tribute version.

  • you love queen and freddie mercury also, that's a miracle for a 16 years old ! Queen is born in the 70's

  • Nice tribute I miss Freddy

  • I honestly believe that Freddie Mercury, and Jim Hutton made one of the best gay couples. They seemed nearly perfect for each other. ._.

  • This is a totally innapropriate song for the memory of Freddie.....For a start, it was written specifically for Diana Spencer, who was a tragic loss to the whole of the UK and beyond. Secondly, as Freddie and the rest of the band were such prolific writers could you have not picked on of the songs written by them. And for the last, Freddie was not a candle in the wind, he was a flame thrower in the hurricane.......

  • @mickyb8419 Think you'll find it was written for Marilyn Monroe

  • @TheDiabloJones .. See what you are saying and I am very familiar with the original written for Marylin... This version was written for Princess Diana Spencer ....and has very different lyrics especially aimed at her... no mention of Norma Jean in this version.... still innapropriate for Freddie though....

  • great pictures and great tribute

  • This is a beautiful video about Freddie's life, but unfortunately the song is not. Freddie said many timea the band Queen was never appreciated by England's Press. Freddie & Queen were loved worldwide, and had better success outside of England. They weren't even gracious enough to erect a statue in Freddie's honour after his death. Instead it was placed in Montreaux, Switzerland. Freddie would have loved to be referred to as England's Rose, but he never felt that support and love at home!

  • @MsSweetunes ..........Freddie had more positive comments by the press than negative and they did not represent the British fans who loved him and Queen. There best success was in the UK.... There is a statue of Freddie which tours the UK,s many cities.... I watched them live many times and I dont base my opinion on having watched a few documentaries.....you are WRONG.. he was supported and loved in the UK....

  • I Just wanna add that its not Englands lose its the Uk's And the worlds lose so Englands greenest hills can go brown and die for me!!

  • freddie foi um dos maiores artistas que esse mundo já viu.

lutou contra o preconceito, contra as religiões de fachada,e contra a sociedade QUADRADONA QUE SÓ VIA DENTRO DE SUA PRÓPRIA LATA.

Grande Freddie, deve estar alegrando outros mundos.

  • Freddie Mercury - still my idol.

This was a great video. Thank you so much 'taleydaley2012.' You obviously have really good taste.

  • Nice video set to a great song.. But I feel that photos could be better.

  • thank you.. great video..made me cry..so sad .. a great musician ..Freddie will be remembered for many years to come R.I.P.

  • great video .. great song for his pictures .. miss you Freddie..love your music and i love you.............

  • He was indeed a great man, Freddie and Elton of course. I think this is a great video, thanks for posting.

    R.I.P Freddie, your indeed a champion. :)

  • Elton John...

  • @rondzon1997 Read description...

  • My sweet Freddie :)

I will always love you, God of music

  • freddie was a truely amazing performer and person. it is a tragedy he was lost so early...he is one person i would really enjoy meeting, but sadly never could. Rest in Peace, your legend lives on.

  • legend

  • Thought the choice of song was perfect for Freddie, i love Queen, absolutely obsessed, i have to listen to them everyday. considering Freddie and Elton were good friends it makes your video even more perfect, I thought its was great x

  • Loving the way the lyrics match neither person, although Sir Fred is by far the best mustache wearer. Also, 'Prince' Harry is Hewitt's bastard son.

  • England's Rose? really?

  • Freddie was a gipsy best singer ever

  • Love the video! Even though it's not Freddie singing, it works. Good job!

  • Like princess Diana, Freddy, you shall never be missed. Love you both x

  • i`m not gay.but i like the music....love the queen....NORWAY

  • Freddie was so proud to be English.

  • Talley... great job,for those of us who really appreciated Queen the vid is awesome... I had the humble opportunity of seeing Queen live on several occasions... Freddie is one of the very best in show I have ever seen. Still ranks as the top performances in my book. Keep up the good work.. you have brought back very good memories..

  • It's November 24th, folks!

Blast Queen even louder than usual today.

Have a great day today, little Queenies!

Long Live Queen, and Long Live Freddie Mercury! :)

    *taleydaley2012

  • Thank you. It is.. it is wonderful. Wonderful. Goodbye Freddie. Miss you so much. :'(

  • Nice tribute to a great singer. Thanks Kiddo!

  • well done dude! long live Fredie, Diana and Everyrybody!

  • nice moviefilm.......

  • the only one,the best one ever...he will be always in our memory and hearts...love you forever freddy :)

  • This was an exceptional video Taley. I wouldn't worry about the potential negativity. Generally, people who make less than positive comments are either uneducated, ill-exposed, or viably insecure with their own personal disposition. Keep doing what you are doing and someone, somewhere, will recognize your potential! Thanks for the great video.

  • @slkossey This made my day. Thank you so very much :)

It really means the world to me.

  • this is Elton johns 'candle in the wind', Amazing song.

  • who wrote this song?

  • Wonderful idea for a video of Freddie. The pictures perfectly matched the sentiments of the lyrics, loved watching it

  • I couldn't help but shed a tear

  • We love you Freddie! Wish we can all be as beautiful and wonderful as you! RIP Queen of Rock N Roll

  • LINDO VIDEO.CONGRATULATIONS.BESOS.KISSES.

  • .....how touching.... I've heard this song many, many times before.....but only this time has it made me cry! I know it was rewritten for Princess Diana, but it truely fits for Freddie too!

God Bless You, Freddie! We will ALWAYS love you!

  • (apart from the fact he isnt Englands rose, he's Iran's)

  • @caldot18 @caldot18 Mercury was born in the British protectorate of Zanzibar, East Africa. His parents, Bomi and Jer Bulsara, were Parsis from the Gujarat region of the then province of Bombay Presidency in British India. The family surname is derived from the town of Bulsar in southern Gujarat. The Bulsara family had moved to Zanzibar in order for his father to continue his job as a cashier at the British Colonial Office. He had one younger sister, Kashmira. ( He is not from Iran...)

  • @caldot18 he, his parents, and younger sisther moved to England when Freddie was 17 so England is his ADPOTED country. He and his family are part of the Britian s first Asians, those moveing to England because of the trouble / war in India . While Freddie was born in Africa he was bought up in India untill age 17/ Herriage is Iran and India, ........Asian either way

  • yip

  • Really GOOD job

  • Precioso vídeo!!! Asta siempre Freddie!!!

  • Thank you!

  • . . . dude, get a life, this is retarded

  • a parsi who made us proud. u will always live along... Faredoon Balsara

  • A GAY SING 2 A GAY HEHE

  • @charmotte23er324 :))))))))))))))))))))))

  • @charmotte23er324 It is a friend to a friend THAT is beyound sex and gender. This version was actualy for Princess Di who was also a personal friend of Elton John so on any level you want to take it this version is a friend to friend tribute.

  • Not thought of freddie for some time, SHAME on me! freddies voice still moves me, life long fan

  • I think this song was really meant for the Princes but Freddie is also Legend.

  • wow really love your vid .almost made me cry.

  • Amazing clip! I love Freddie and Elton - They'r both amazing singers! And they were very close friends, love them! Kisses from me and keep making good clips! <3

  • Great Job!!!!! He was the man!!

  • I hated that silly dreadful Groucho Marx moustache. But Freddie was a great star who died too early.

  • love freddie wish i,d took an opportunity to see queen performing.. God bless freddie

  • Awesome, but you should make another with the original lyrics, this version is for Princess Diana... at her funeral...

  • context people.

  • unik mand..;0) god sang & video...

  • i love freddie ... i´m 16 years old now and i´ve ever listened to queen. i think freddie is/was the greatest singer of the world... it´s a great mixture to take these freddie fotos and this great elton john song...

    greetings

  • i will never forget you

  • my dad met and shook the hands of the beatles and opened up a show for sticks with my uncles still alive but my dad passed away at 58, for all those who die to soon only the good die young they say, but this song was for normagene baker which was also the name of my great aunt who disapeared a long time ago in the same city marilyn monroe at the age of 16, my irish family named all my great aunts with endings in ene or ine such as fayrine or katherine on the hamilton side.but freddie this 4 you

  • I would never have thought to apply this song to Freddie! I'm impressed that you did, it's perfect. I admire anyone who honors Freddie. You get twice the admiration for thinking outside the box. WELL DONE.

  • @donegaveup THANK YOU! :)

  • I really like your video. I would have never thought to apply this song to Freddie. I am impressed that you did. I'm a fan of anyone who honors Freddie. You get twice the admiration for thinking outside of the box. VERY well done.

  • ah ah ah !!! fuckin asshole..

  • This song was re-released for Princess Diana. How dare you besmirch Freddie's name by associating her in the same breath as him.

  • This version was written to Princess Diana, not for Freddie

  • @jfcubas so then??!

  • Freddy forever in our hearts. you are the best. Rest in peace. I miss you.

  • I love how this song works for both Freddie Mercury, and Princess Diana. both amazing souls, and lived their lives like candles in the wind. Elton John couldnt have thought of better words to put in this song. :)

  • No matter what you mean by the title, and no matter if you explained in the description, it's a wrong/misleading way to put a title for a video/song.

  • I just went to a concert at the Chattanooga Symphony and they played and sang Who Wants To Live Forever, written after Freddie died, and it really hit me emotionally, God bless you Freddie and may you rest in peace of the kingdom of heaven forever.

  • @TrumpetHero11 Not trying to be patroning or anything but who wants to live forever was written when he was alive, it was included in the A kind of magic album, look up the video.

  • Well this video is appropriate, since Elton and Freddie were very good friends, in fact Elton was asked to sing "The show must go on" with Queen not on one, but on two occasions, to commemorate Freddie's death and to speak up to fight AIDS and find a cure.

This song was written about Marylin Monroe, if I'm correct, but I wonder if the great Elton would ever consider writing a song about the great Queen Freddie....

    :-)

  • I've loved this Elton John song since the 70s and this version is so very beautiful too... Nice one and thank you poster.

  • at 2:09-2:10 I love u Freddie!

  • Amazing video!

  • Thanks for this video

  • Humans still like to criticize without knowing more about what they criticize...Except some brigh candles, such as Freddie, there hasn't been much evolution from monkey form...

  • We didn't come from monkeys, we have a common ancestor with them.

  • I was only methaphorical...

  • se imaginan este tema cantado por Freddie? wow!!!

  • This song is the best song ever and elton is the best!this song shall be delicated to mj the most succesfull entertainer ever

  • This song IS here dedicated to Freddie Mercury, one of Elton's best friend ever!

  • Would had been nice if it was, but its not..Its dedicated to Princess Diana.

  • love

  • I sure hope you're not talking to me.

If you are- read the description.

  • @robotrock80

The person in the video at 2:15 is Jo Dare, not Elton John.

  • Well, it was originally titled "Candle in the wind" and it was ABOUT Norma Jean, AKA Marilyn Monroe, but it was Bernie Taupin who rewrote it. Elton wrote the music, Bernie wrote the lyrics.

  • Yeah... pretty sure this is the Princess Diana version.

  • I've never liked this song that much... But now as I think of Freddie Mercury, I understand the song and I can't understand how anyone can dislike this song. Freddie Mercury, the world's golden rose!

  • @ToyKotoMadman

That's true, Freddie Mercury, the world's golden rose! By the way, do you know that there is a rose in memory of Freddie? It's the Mercury rose... A yellow - golden one with a pink hue (in tone it's very similar to another one he drew when he was in the Ealing Art School) Just do a Google search and type 'Freddie Mercury rose'and you'll see it.

  • uh.. duh elton john but freddie is singing is what im talking about flamboynt 0.0

  • Awhh, we miss you Freddie!

It's been 18 years today that you've been gone.

    I love you Fred (:

    Rest in peace :)

  • So sad indeed! Hope that our children will remember this amazing man for his generosity on stage and in his personal life, his great sense of humour, his above everyone's talent as a performer. Rest in peace.

  • This song was written by bernie taupin 4 elton. It was 1st made 4 marilyn monroe the orig song. then he sang it 4 ryan white the boy who died from aids that michael jackson befriended n gave the car too then he changed the lyrics to englands rose 4 princess dianna love u Freddie

  • wonderful mix really makes me cry about freddy...

  • 2:15. I have always wondered who the lady is. I believe it to be Jo Dare. Does anyone know?

  • You are correct (:

  • @taleydaley2012

I have tried to google and find what she is doing now, but the last account was she was playing at a club in Texas. I would like to hear what she has to say about Freddie.

  • May GOD Bless you up there in Heaven Fredy!!! U where the biggest legend of all the singers in the world.... Farewell....

  • Greatest singer ever...with little effort, it just flowed out of him... A Master

  • Very nice!

Just one minor correction: The original Marilyn Monroe version was also titled "Candle in the Wind." "Good-bye Norma Jean" is the first line of the song.

  • Thank you so much for posting this video!! He was English Royalty. Too bad it took his death and memorial concert for the world to recognize a true musical gift and beautiful person.

  • You're welsome :)

And I totally agree with you.

  • very nice work
