Dude, nice work, Joey Cramer on Drums on that, Joe Perry playin some lead, Tom Hamilton playin some bass, Brad Whitford backin you up, and Steven Tyler screamin in you ear, and you got a one hit wonder
@harmonicrecreation If I may ad something here, you could play this on a mandolin if you had it set up for that type of playing, i.e. low action and at least .070" frets.
hah.. i want to get an octave mandolin soon, then i heard this.. now i REALLY want one.. cool to see people not following the status quo and buying a guitar like the other 4 billion people
you are amazing! this is brilliant! I could listen to it over and over and never get bored! I'm itching to jam along on a harmonica or guitar! thanks for posting! x

Can you play this on normal mandolin?
FlopsyDiggins 6 months ago
@FlopsyDiggins The string tension is too high on a normal mandolin for the hammer-ons.

sweet song. I just got an octave mando and octaved the 3 biggest strings, so it sounds like a bouzouki.

what tuning please?
tikibarsam 2 years ago
tuned like a violin i think.
GDAE
crimsonblad5 2 years ago
@crimsonblad5 A mandolin is tuned GDAE like a fiddle, but an octave mandolin is tuned an octave lower
RatherCrunchyMuffin 1 year ago
@RatherCrunchyMuffin so I was right..
crimsonblad5 1 year ago
@crimsonblad5 A fiddle's tuning would be one octave too high
RatherCrunchyMuffin 1 year ago
@RatherCrunchyMuffin other than the octav ei've gotten the tuning correct.
