  • Enjoying your info, and checking out your blog! Much thanks.

  • Thanks for the Wisdom !!!

  • Really helpful, thank you for posting this!

  • I'm going to have to read this book, But I didn't feel the father was abusive from the passages he read.

  • @M0man If this refers to Prince of Tides, Conroy just gives a few examples of the father's brutality in the prologue, which is more about introducing the promise and setting the story in motion. There's much more about the father (who does become more sympathetic) and about the mother (who is revealed to be ruthless).

  • Bill, thanks I really got a lot out of your talk. Your students are lucky.

  • Normally Youtube forbids to upload videos over 10 minutes.

BTW, some interesting stuff is told in here.

  • Cool, Bill! Way to go. Now sharing...

  • I read his book and corresponded with Mr. Johnson some time back. This guy may not be as famous as Robert McKee, but he for damn sure knows his stuff. His approach to storytelling is definitely worth exploring!

  • Good stuff

  • Excellent pragmatic nuts-and-bolts stuff! 5STARS!
