She looks decent but whoever is feeding needs to make them lower because her point of contact is way too high. Her footwork could be better and her swing looks like baseball. maybe try a smaller racket
I don't know if you want opinions but: 1) Get her footwork going. 2) I know she is small, but she needs to familiarize herself with the point of contact (closer to the hips) which means she needs to move back alot more. Apart from that, she looks good. Best of luck and I hope she enjoys.
I don't know about her now, bot powercise is right. Her backhand form is incorrect, and inefficient. It's a better idea to teach her proper form before drilling her constantly while using incorrect form. As a coach once said, 'Practice makes permanent, perfect practice makes perfect.'
Really weird grip - what do you call that exactly? It's like she is using a left-handed forehand grip and leading with the left, and the right hand is just sitting there for show...
Terrible grip, bad strokes, bad footwork. That's why she's only number 1 in the nation right now. She has talent, but with this kind of training, she's not going anywhere. She should be ranked higher.
She has the same backhand as my friend (10th grade - like me), her racquet goes lateral but now she is developing a bad habit of dropping her back shoulder and twisting her left hand toward her so watch out for that. :)
Very nice. Interesting backhand technique. The trailing hand(right) contributes a lot of power. I'm always studying to improve my swing. Watching adult/pro's technique is ridiculous and confusing, but younger kids always have a solid/simple/efficient technique.
@khemistryy Good point.. Pls compare to newer videos and drop a line.. She's doing well... She only cried once today... Tomorrow if she doesn't cry we might feed her... Thanks for commenting
@ToughLoveTennis she looks good..i would suggest she use the green dot balls to keep it more in her hitting zone, down by her waist.(i know this is tough when they are so young). Her technique is solid, good work.
she has good coordination and potential, but coaches need to realize that basic skills are super important too-- her balance is off, look where her bodyweight is leaning towards after shots. its tough to correct that later.
WHoa....start from square 1. Her grip is wrong, her strokes are wrong, her footwork is wrong. Hitting ball after ball like this all wrong is horrible, you will get her muscle memory set like this and it will be impossible to correct. Take her to a real coach and start from scratch. No offense, this video is hard to watch as a tennis coach. And its not her fault, it is whatever adult did not teach her the basics.
Very good ! Only one doubt. She hit the ball in a very flat mode (similar to baseball maybe) . Shouldn't be the case to teach a little bit of top spin
not a prodigy just ok

A good case of parental ego... maybe she could be a good player if you teach or pay for a good instructor. The child technique is horrible!

Prodigy typically refers to natural talent not forced by parental influences.

Poor instructing! they need to make sure her contact point is lower, plain and simple lower contact point, end of discussion.
