i only wanted a 360 when i had a PS2 because then, the 360 was the only next-generation console. never got a 360, got a PS3 though. i had no problems with it until march 30th when the fat PS3 clock incident occurred. then two days ago i was shutting off my PS3 and it malfunctioned and beeped three times, cut it back on got a message saying rebuilding hdd, not the infamous hdd crash just something minor and haven't had any problems since. btw i've had my PS3 for 2 years.

Not alot of people know this, But if u get the YLOD u WILL have a disc trapped in the drive, YES? Want the disc out? Ok then. Turn off the PS3 via the switch at the BACK, then HOLD the EJECT button while simultaneously fliping the switch at the BACK. The crazy fan kicks in and ur disc spitts out. This is a PS3 fail safe. It routes power only 2 the disc drive NOTHING ELSE. So dont think about trying 2 quickly backup any data u have cause uv got NO CHANCE. Hope this helps.
Wow ur a real smartass. If you want the disc, just start it up without the HDD inside. And you can put your HDD in a Laptop or certain PCs then backup your data up from there. =)

Uhhh, No. The warranty doesn't get voided if you take out the hard drive. It only becomes voided if you break the rubber thing that allows you to take apart your ps3.
Wow. Yo man apparently you dont have a ps3, because you would know this. There is a rubber thing you have to break to open your ps3. If you break that, thing the warranty is voided. You dont have to break the rubber thing to get to your hard drive, its just like taking out batteries.
i have this now couse i had a power-out in my neighborhood, this has happen to me before and i unplugged everything and left the PS3 get some air for a long while, A day or two , ill will have to wait again ( its been the 3rd time ) and see if it works again

if anyone else has this problem with there game being stuck in the console do this
1.turn system off
2.hold down eject button whilst system is completely off
3.turn on system at back left,on off switch.
4.the system will turn on standbye mode,keep your finger held down on the eject button
5.this should eject your game and you will hear the fan going crazy,thats normal.

1) take of the elektricity by pulling out the power cable of the ps3
2) put it back in and put your finger on the eject disk button
3)turn it on then te ven test starts and your disk comes out
