I've never been able to get the warp glitch to work, Nathan always seems to jump too high, no matter how quickly I press the jump button. Plus, the rare time that he doesn't leave the screen when he jumps, the Summon doesn't work and I just throw a dagger. I guess slowdown makes it easier, eh? Gotta love TAS, showing us all the things not normally possible =)

In a tool-assisted run, you can make a savestate right as you turn into a skeleton. Start throwing bones, and reload the savestate every time you don't get a big one. Sooner or later, you'll get lucky and get a streak of big ones. Save again and keep going.

Um. very large bones do massive damage

to throw the bone, you must get a card that has a 1% of dropping, then get another 1% card, use them to become a skeleton that dies in 1 hit. you only have a 5% chance when attacking to throw that large bone

so this is very hard to do

You can do this wherever there is a top exit to a screen. You choose any summon (6 and 4 were used in this case) and you jump and right at the point that you would exit the screen off the top, you complete the summon. You should start to fly wildly up once you enter the next room.

Erh, not quite. These runs don't re-record to make stuff LOOK optimal. They rerecord so they ARE optimal by manipulating luck ingame. If they don't get a particular result they want, they load and try again. There are usually tricks to manipulate luck in your favor.

Erh but the point I meant to make is that even though they load it's all one solid playthrough. You can even load all of their button presses(at least in the case of NES TAS's, possibly others) on an emulator and it will play out exactly as it should in a normal playthrough.

wtf just happened, all you see is him running then jumping with spikes then all you see is dracula, then a fuckin huge ass bone hit him then he gains like 20 lvls, then he becomes the skeleton with only the first 2 cards which makes no sense, because the first 2 cards you get the flame whip, and he beat dracula at lvl 1 withought any potions... wow lol that was pretty cool and you owned dracula!

The card thing is a useful trick that also I use to conquer the game. Just select two card, E.G the first two, and go back to the game. Then apply DSS power, whichever button does that, and then, just before you get the power, press START, and select the unknown cards of your choice, E.G. the first, and the one-but-last (holy whip).
