    Ahahahahaha...... you're right......

  • First off SMKW owns Black Jack and this knife is/ was made of A2 steel and failure is not what that superb steel is known for and besides that grind looks strong to me and I own a lot of good quality knives being a collector.

  • beautiful knife. i like it a lot. maybe one one for myself someday

  • Xxx. @

  • Stupendo!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Very nice

  • what type of steel?

  • Man it's practically a sword...

    Send me a private message.

  • Looks more like a small sword :>

  • It's actually a convex edge on this big bowie. It's no opinion that a convex edge will out cut and out chop any other edge grind. This blade probably has very superior performance.

  • I never understood big bowies with a concave blade grind like that. IMO it's a thin edge that will fail under hard use..

  • @dapoetmaster concave? thin? concave is probably the thickest kind of grind (i might be mistaken), as it has a lot of material in the edge. your description (except the hard use part) is a hollow edge, much thiner, and with much less edge material, one of the main advantages is it is much easier to sharpen, but a concave's durability is bigger.

  • @dapoetmaster Dear sir, I must correct you, the convex edge on these is quite thick and robust, I have abused it all to hell, it has never come CLOSE to failing, and I prefer very thin edges myself, knives are for cutting and slicing, and the thin edges work much better. Don't believe all this crap about needing a 1/4" or thicker blade, even 3/16" is PLENTY thick enough if the steel is tempered well.My WESTERN W49 Bowie is 1/8" thick, and plenty tough, course, it isn't stainless junk.

  • @opawari This knife is discontinued.,. the original came with a beautiful leather sheath and was made with AUS-8A steel.

    Sorry......

  • ugly :/

  • you can find it if you type in on google traditional bowie! this knife on the video has the almost the same design as this but it was the original that Jim Bowie had!
