lol, I can't help but say that I've honestly laughed a good couple times now b/c of the number of times Dantares' Super Charge has activated in this battle.
@SilentStalkerX The game allows you to edit the names of the 3 scenarii leaders of the Force. Julian and Symbios (default names) were re-named Kite and Slate by TB (these are the names of members of SA's forum).
In SF3 the names of the Shining Force characters and leaders are carried on while saving the game, so you'll find them again with the same names in Scenario 2, Scen. 3 and Premium Disk, and US or EURO saved games are compatible with JAP version if memory serves me well.
While in the town of Enrich, Arthur meets a young boy named Julian. He tells them that his father went to investigate a haunted mansion in the woods, but never returned. It would later be discovered that Julian's father was killed by Galm, one of the mythical Vandals that ruled over the world during the time of the 1,000 year kingdom. His father's death compels Julian to seek revenge against Galm, which set into motion his involvement in the events of SF3.
TB, you mention how Galm ignores Synbios and always focuses his attacks on Julian. Here is a chunk of text from the Shining the Holy Ark Wikipedia page that gives some background that might explain why Galm favors attacking Julian. (due to the 500 character limit it'll be on the next post.)

The Vandal is just going after Julian more as hes classed as a "leader" character, yet is currently weaker then Synbios.
So going to have to rename Irene to Mittins using the Premium Disk :D

the fiery cross break is called road rash,
just have some large mithril and have Cybel equip w/ a halberd, then you'll get a Star Halberd.

That is the luckiest Dantares I've ever seen. Wow.
This makes me want to buy another copy... I miss this game so much.
Also: Penn is a pretty decent character after you get him up to par.
Unfortunately, you can't use his amazing attack in this game because he doesn't get weapon upgrades.
He has the most badass friendship bonus, ever. Evade and Luck for the win!
