Crystal skull was the worst indiana Jones movie. Seriously, you can't make an indiana Jones in 2008 without taking in consideration what "the imitators" have done in the past years. Crystal skull ended up looking like a mish mash between E.T, national treasure and The Mummy returns. It even had scenes which were identical to scenes in The Mummy returns. Utterly disappointing on every level. The only good thing to come out from that movie was Col. Dr. Irina Spalko.

Funny thing about him is, he never set out to be successful, as in rich. He wanted nothing to do with the Hollywood system because they were messing with his movies. He got a deal for Star Wars, that gave him tons of license, because the studio did not really believe in it, they signed all these rights away to him. So when it was the biggest hit ever at that time, he had the power to become rich and independant of the Hollywood system, something very rare.

I haven't seen the film, but I know atomic weapons from reading books--their actual destructive area is not very large in the case of a surface burst (the kind that leaves a crater. Air bursts caused massive destruction over a very large radius, surface bursts do not. The area "vaporized" is actually fairly small. Taking shelter in a refrigerator does not actually sound that far-fetched to me, beyond a distance of 1/4 mile or so.

Harrison Ford is still sexy and a great actor. Kate Blanchet is so hot in her uniform and fits the dominanting role. And the young Russel Crowe lookalike was just a little to eager but definately talented. The monkey scene was a hoot. It might of ruined the movie. Obviously not enough time was spent on the story and instead filled with a bunch of special effects and cool stage props.Great eye candy but without the substance

Wow, somebody finally had the guts to compare Indiana Jones with Tintin ... and then he was asked to stop talking about it! Although I'm a huuuuuge fan of Indy (all four of them, this one included), there is no denying that apart from maybe Raiders of the Lost Ark, all three other movies had in your face elements from the Tintin books. ...the movie George Lucas describes is a VERY different movie from the actual product; thus proving what we've known all along: George Lucas has no idea what he's doing anymore and has no problems with screwing up a franchise in order to make a buck.

yes! excellent! i hope that others drift away from blue screens as well. may the craftsmanship of great art directors and their underlings be passed on to younger generations. it would be a goddamn shame if this particular method dies off somehow to the digital onslaught.

blue (and green) screens have their place for special magic i.e. "bullet time" in the Matrix and so on but it should never become all-encompassing or we have lost something.

The movie is NOT garbage. It's about love for the character. Stop looking for the perfect movie and just love it for what it is and enjoy the ride.
