  • why would anyone open carry a rifle?

  • there is something to make us feel good...we cannot tell who are nutbags are with the guns...so the rest of us get to enjoy you nuts!

I had to laugh at the irony of that chick that took her handgun to soccer games and stress all the moms out got shot in the face by her jealous husband who said she was "messing around" on facebook...these are the stable people carrying handguns and conceal and carry laws!

my dad owned gun shops and would never do this, never!

  • Article 1Section 32 of the Ibdiaba State constitution. The people shall have a right to bear arms, for the defense of themselves and the State. . . .how do u interpret this? and this Section 33. The military shall be kept in strict subordination to the civil power.

  • I fear if you continue down the road your so called group is on. The state will label you as a gang and start coming after you. Do a little at a time get some change then start another battle. Don't start fifteen battles on fifteen different fronts when you cant even win on the first front.

  • I have to agree here. in the matter of strategy you guys are starting to fail. Also, your PR savvy is very lacking. Look at the open carry litter pickups you used to do. Then look at the demonstrations of the past year. You see a lot more hostility and "in your face" moves that turn a lot of people off. These are people who are on the fence and their experiences with you are going to decide for them. Do you want your cause to grow or not?

  • With all the stuff the free state people are doing I'M starting to turn away from the message. Being a life long NH native I have to say some of this stuff is getting out of hand and your going to end up making us have less freedoms then when you started. Some of your points when you first started I was on board with. But now it seems any nut who moves here has his/her own battle they want to start. From being topless in public to using drugs to carrying rifles in public. Enough is enough.

  • You're missing the point here.

These people don't care if you don't like what they do. They feel entitled to do whatever they want with no regard to the wishes of the community.

    "Get over it"

    "It's my right"

    and

"It can't be wrong if there's no victim"

will be the standard cliches trotted out if you dare to object to this sort of behaviour.

You know, the FSP kind of reminds me of radical Islam. It DEMANDS acceptance from everyone else, yet offers no concessions of any kind.

  • There is no I in p00lwoman.

  • Hey, Ridley! Will you block this t00lman already!

  • poolman is excercising his 1st Amendment rights.

If he doesn't then we may all lose that right.

Don't like freedom of speech? Move to China.

  • I disagree, actually.

The first amendment has nothing to do with youtube. Youtube is a private company and can set its own rules. They, or Ridley, can shut me up as they please.

I have to give Ridley props for tolerating opposition.

  • it takes trolls an average of one month to become semi-supportive of the ridley report :)

  • I also wouldn't label those who disagree and are willing to discuss their points of view as "trolls."

  • hey poolman ... all i can say is im glad you say you live in South korea ...thats probably where you belong...

  • This occurrence in America has a lot to do with sheriffs taking orders for cones instead of being a sheriff and the people needs security from socialists who follow orders instead of their own heart. Obamanation is here in America

Bring home our troops stop playing your war game control of others and live and let live.

HR 1207 will disclose the fraud and give us true direction instead of control

Government is on drugs and needs to detox and wake up

  • Price is a racist left wing lunatic. He gets away with violence because he's black, that's the bottom line.

  • Well, if it's not always the same people, then why couldn't it be done on a daily basis!?

  • I agree with Ridley on this. Don't protest in front of Judge Burke's house. Send letters, e-mails, phone calls to his office...maybe a word to him on the street, respectfully.

And then vote him out of office.

  • In fairness to the demonstrators, Judge Burke actually is something of a dictator by definition. He never has to face election and can dictate without much oversight.

  • He doesn't rule, he judges.

  • Do an advanced search on "the judge ruled"

  • Bah, you got me on semantics.

Judges rule, in that they give out rulings, yes.

Judges don't rule, in that they command a population.

  • Like Paula on Dances with the Stars.

  • I agree that it is impolite to "take it to their home" except for one thing that kind of bothers me.

The attitude that "it's just my job."

Isn't that just the defense that they are doing bad things "following orders"?

I think it's important to impress on people that they are responsible for their own actions, regardless of their job description.

So yes, it's impolite to take it to their homes. They're the ones that were impolite first.

  • Regardless of what they do to you, one man's sins doesn't excuse another's. There's no justification for vengeance.

  • Silence poopoo.

  • Wow, you've convinced me.

  • Protesting is not "vengeance".

    Protesting is not a sin.

Telling someone that they have done a bad thing is, in my opinion, a very good thing.

Telling the bureaucrats that they are NOT excused for their trespasses just because they have a badge is, again, neither vengeance nor a sin.

Maybe you don't recognize "it's just a job". It's called the Nuremberg Defense: I was just following orders.

  • Protesting an idea or situation in a public place is not vengeance.

Protesting a person by standing outside his or her house is.

  • In America the sidewalks ARE public unlike your Korean sidewalks.

  • I hate to tell you, but there's more security and freedom in South Korea than in the US.

But what you're talking about is harrassment. That's not free.

  • I cannot disagree with you there. We haven't been free for a very long time. It's about time that people wake up and realize what freedom costs. People need to make their voices heard now or they won't have a voice in the years to come.

  • Now, that's just the problem. People need to stop whining and complaining and threatening and just act righteously and for the benefit of all.

  • LOL, how Ridley does it, I don't know

But his ad's are always new, effective and slightly amusing.

  • When they produce legislation to squash this practice, I fear it may turn out like HB2.

  • i mean you could also argue that the cops will respect you more if you are carrying .... they need to because you have a gun..but eventually this will turn violent somewhere...

its not quite time to get it on ... The enemy will move ...then we will react

  • "The dictatorship tries to function without resorting to force so we must try to oblige it to do so, thereby unmasking its true nature as the dictatorship of the reactionary social classes. This event will deepen the struggle to such an extent that there will be no retreat from it."

Che Guavara - Guerrilla Warfare: A Method

  • All I want is for them to respect me and love me.

  • pro 2nd

yeah we have the right to carry.. but just to carry to get attenion ..its likley to bad ... scare alot of people into putting MORE reg.s on arms ...do you really need to carry a rifle downtown in R.O.L.? i know we have the right to in NH... but use some common sense with it to.. i dont think this helps gun owners by scaring the public...and i know alot of people are pissed at the govenment...

my guess is armed protest .....cant stay peaceful for too long....

  • common sense seems to be in short supply here

  • Wow. That was fast.

  • Man, they sacked that comment in under an hour. There were 6 comments, and yours already had -8.

I loved partaking in open carry in New Orleans where people could openly carry their drinks wherever they want. As for guns, I appreciate it, but I don't care for guns. I don't hunt and I don't need to protect myself, at this point. I appreciate open carry and I believe that it keeps authorities in check. Would a cop needlessly shoot a disorderly kid if there were citizens with guns watching?

  • Such a likely scenario. But to play Devil's advocate...

    If the cop shoots first...

Oh, wait, I forgot, cops don't make mistakes, on camera, ever.

  • If the whole police force is there and there are no innocent stander-bys. But I don't think cops would needlessly beat someone in a crowd of armed citizens. No beating innocent people=no shooting. The other thing is, I don't think an armed citizen would shoot a cop needlessly beating a passerby anyways. They would stand there and watch. Who would want to face the time? It's a deterrent. It's a right lost, and it should be regained.

  • Don't debate with p00lman as if he is an ordinary human. He is a whore and my owned slut.

  • That's just one example, and it rarely happens, but it does happen. Open carry at political events also keeps the authorities at bay. What about the cop that needlessly pushed the bicycle racer over in NY--just a random act of violence. What if he was flanked by citizens with guns? I'm not suggesting that they shoot him, I'm suggesting it might keep authority impulse control under control. At the same time, it might help lower crime. EG open carry in large cities might slow down muggings.

  • The dick waving thing is just silliness. That's as bad as when people say similar things about car enthusiasts. It's narrow minded, untrue, and insulting.

I didn't say anything about the military, although I think an amount of armed citizens would put a dent in the military.

Now argue the thoughts I put on the plate. Why shouldn't a mugee have a gun to ward off a mugger?

  • If the mugger has a gun too, then the muggee is more likely to get shot for trying to take action.

  • @p00lman If the Muggee has a gun the mugger is more likely to get shot trying to mug the muggee. Duh! That's the point.

  • That's a nice little fantasy you've got going on there, but it's unrealistic.

The aggressor is going to be more aggressive. Having a gun will only put the victim at more risk by raising the stakes.

  • The choice to take that risk should be the mugee's. Besides, who would open mug where people with guns might see you?

  • Open mug? I like that.

I want to see the free staters hold an open mugging.

  • I bet you walk through one of their gatherings with a big wad of 20's clipped to the neckline of your shirt and no one would mug you.

  • This proven by the vast research done by p00Iman and his extensive interviews with violent prisoners. If I defend myself then criminals feel uncomfortable and thus get more violent. If I just let them rape my wife and kill my children then things will settle down much faster. LOL!

  • Funny, the "agressor" who tried to break my door down once night didn't seem to agree with you. In fact, once I opened the door and showed him my gun he "aggressively" sought his way back down the stairs and out of the building. I guess he was just too stupid to know that my having a gun put ME at greater risk instead of him. What a dumbass.

  • What is your door made of that makes it so easy to break down? I would invest in a sturdier door first. If you weren't at home during that incident, you could kiss your valuables goodbye.

  • The choice of door material was the landlord's. The choice of backing it up with a weapon was mine and it worked, immediately, without me having to so much as say a word. Guns rule.

  • You really should move to a more secure apartment, or to a safer neighborhood.

  • Hmm.

That sounds like a made-up story to me. Sort of a gun owner's wet dream.

  • If you were breaking into a house and the occupant appeared and pointed a gun at you, would you keep trying to break in or would you go away?

  • I don't break into houses,

I don't make up stories about how my gun has protected me either.

  • If you don't believe me then just do a search here on youtube. You will find plenty of verifiable accounts of people saving themselves with guns.

I don't care if you believe me but jeaz...give me a little credit. If I was going to make up a story this would be just about the shortest and most boring one I could come up with. I would hope that I could at least come up with a witty comment like "make my day!"

    dumbass.

  • Well I don't believe you. The big bad intruder kicking your door in, only to run off at the sight of a gun is simply not believable to anyone who doesn't live on the NRA website

As for "verifiable", that's the beauty of these made-up gun fantasies- they can't be verified.

So go ahead, make my day and don't tell bullshit stories to bolster your argument that guns make us all safer.

  • Ah...I see you are very much like poolman. Simply don't believe anything that conflicts with your opinion. Life must be so wonderful when you can turn the ignorance button on at will. Did you even bother to do a search? No because that would upset your fuzzy little world view.

  • I believe in verifiable facts.

You believe in your own opinions, spiced up with some invented "experiences" that you can trot out knowing they can't really be checked out.

The only one in a warm fuzzy place around here is YOU.

  • have you done the search yet?

  • LOL

I have done plenty of searches thanks. Unless an event is reported to the police then it's almost certainly hearsay or tough talk. This is the big flaw in Gary Kleck's book.

Stick to the FACTS. The only sources I will accept are from FBI, DoJ or CDC. None of these have stats on "crime prevented by firearms"

    Is that all you've got?

  • How very convenient for you. I wasn't referring to Kleck's book I was referring to specific instances which you can view yourself on youtube in news reports but since you bring it up...Kleck addresses an area that your sources specifically ignore. That doesn't mean he's wrong. Again, it comes down to conveniently believing only those sources that agree with your preformed opinion. Frankly, you're boring me now. Ta ta.

  • Your inability to prove any of what you say bores me too.

And stop referring to YouTube like it's an authority. I could post a video saying the Earth is flat - doesn't make it true.

    ta ta

  • are you still talking? Move on with your life already. Stop obsessing.

  • I can't stop obsessing with the truth. Sorry if it bothers you.

  • dismissed.

  • @billburns2 My account of pulling a pistol on an intruder in my home, was told to Channel 3 News where I live. The only thing they said was,the intruder fled when I woke up and he saw me. No gun mentioned. That is a FACT! They report what they want you to see.

  • If they threatened to shoot a cop, they'd be gone in a second.

    It wouldn't work at all.

  • If they sat there threatening to shoot one, they would be shot.

    It would work at all.

  • "Who's sicker, somebody who thinks his gun is a sexual organ, or someone who wants to take everybody's sexual organs away?" --- L. Neil Smith

  • How about someone who wants to keep firearms out of the hands of idiots and potential murderers?

  • Who is not a potential murderer?

Who has not been an idiot?

    Including cops?

  • Cops are trained in special compounds where they are genetically altered and given special powers and abilities. They are then trained by secret Kung-fu masters so they can stop all crime and appear instantly. They are like gods.

  • So are the military.

  • Last comment relating to poolboy, nice placement, youtube.

  • P00lman, I love your tinny cock slut. I know you like mine whore. P00lman, such a whore for cock.

  • Daddy can help, but he may not.

  • While that is a quite compelling piece of literature you've written, I think we both know, P00lman's mine. No matter how much you lust for him, it will always be me ravaging his sumptuous insides and engulfing his miniscule dick with my fist.

  • I hope to see much more of this. So much so that people get accustomed to it and stop calling the police and wasting their time.

  • ★★★★★

  • If what we resists persists, that can be a good thing. It solidifies their positions. It makes them easier to flank if you hold all of their attention on one aspect of the battle.

  • who is "they"?

  • Oh yeah, sorry about that.

I used intentionally used "they" very generally. "They" in this comment means whoever your opponent/opposition is, either ideologically or physically.

My comment, rephrased, would mean: You can hold your opponents attention by putting them on the defensive, entrenching them, narrowing their focus, thereby making them easier to maneuver around.

This can be a good thing. But as Ridley mentions, you're not going to win any of your opponents over with that.

  • who is the opponent here? Who are you going to flank and maneuver?

  • Depends on the context.

Again, I'm speak in a general way.
