he sure is stillperforming but on a smaller scale less dates and plays big size night clubs also . wherever he can draw a crowd. I hate to tell u all but rememberus who listened to pat t as a part of the older set know him but millions os kids and young adults have never heard of him i say his name since I am from Austin tx and they all say did he come from TX?Austin noooo!!
another good tune i just loved him and wondered why he didnt get mor attention guess it was cause he was canadian, and yes pats version is much better than BOBS
i was watching him at the Cabooze Bar in MPLS, MN and he jumped off stage after the set and bummed a smoke. he is great especially with Jerry Rigs at guitar
I was in High School when I first heard this song. Had no idea who Bob Marley was, but loved this song. Only later found out it was a cover. Props to PT for covering this song.
@adrem31 hehe The same goes for me. I was in HS when I first heard this song and then Crash&Burn. I think this is how I was turned onto Bob Marley's music, which I still listen to today. Marley's music is timeless. Haven't listened to this version in eons so its nice hear again. Loved Pat Travers back in the day.
I never get tired of this song. Pat Travers is one of those artists that you sit back and wonder why he wasn't as big as he should have been. The Crash and Burn CD is a regular fixture in my music mix... has been for years and years. Just a really well produced album (though some say over-produced, I might agree, but I don't care) with incredibly good music on it.
Oh yeah, DEFINITELY better! Pat Travers may not have the classically best voice on the planet but the Hammond and Pat Thrall's guitar work are driving and still kinda' off-beat. This album and especially this track is the very best the Mars Cowling/Tommy Aldridge rhythm section ever got. This is one of my all-time favorite albums.
@LordGandor3 you dared and i agree . had the privaledge to spend some time with pat and the rest of the band back in 84 great guy's ...all of them. can't wait to see em all again. till then if you read this pat all my best ...harley guy from madtown, WI. TAKE CARE BRAH. LATER
I love both versions of this song, Bob's or Pat's

I hate to say it. But, this song turned me on to Bob Marley. So sad I have no music history. Incredible song!

@LordGandor3 ...I agree. The song is so bass-driven, and Mars Cowling is one of the few bassmen better than Ashton Barrett.
