this and Psychonaut are their best vids - Preacher Man & Power are their best tracks - thanks for this - saw them at Brixton last weekend they were amazing :)
That great set of vocals from Mc Coy Can`t improve on the song without him. Another great track & video fom this FANTASTIC group. Well done T.F.O.T.N,
@2814watchman Aha, great to know. I can see the tribal, shamanist influences that has inspired his life and work in the video. Do you know how many of the Nephilim vids he directed?
@AzaleaZoeliz Hi, he did this one and Preacher Man, both in 1987. Makes me feel old lol. Others were done by 'Dirty Work Work'??? lol. Are you a fan of Richard Stanley as well then? He would have done a much better job of that Island of Doctor Moreau than the crap that was released. I recently got a special edition of Hardware and a comic from 2000AD, who said he ripped their idea from them. Its very similiar so dont know, tho he said he saw it all in a dream lol.
@AzaleaZoeliz I only went to see the film cos Carl was in it but I liked his imagery. I was really pissed off at the time cos they were going to do more scenes with Carl in the city etc but they ran out of cash. I think Dust Devil is better and Carl could have played the demon.
@RayWhisperer Ahhh you certainly missed something there! Ive seen them so often back then, and dragged my friends along who ridiculed them for the flour and stuff, but after seeing them live everyone admitted they were fantastic musicians.
Jesus f***ing Chr**t who would've thought we'd still be listening to this 24?/23? years later!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a lot of fun at the time but it still amazes me no one's come up with anything that much better.
JG - the sound engineer
P.S. It's a shame they cut off the phased and flanged false ending we mixed on the original cut for pressing! If I can find the old desk tape I'll post it if the band don't put in a shout.
this will eternally remind me of running wild in Hollywood in 1987-1988 when there seemed to be either a great live music gothic/deathrock club or gothic dance club every night of the week....Thanks to David L. for turning me onto such a great band way back when..
no words can explain this..out of this world...better than perfect
