There is nothing so great, it's only another operational system.
For uninitiated user is recommended wubi or only the live system.
The archive system default of Ubuntu is EXT4 and windows not read it.

@caarlos00 Esse é justamente o efeito do gnome-shell, ele já está disponível no fedora 12 através do gerenciador de pacotes.
