Silent Hill for example is just a horror game, not an action game. Assassins Creed is the best in your list there as I am a big fan of the series, played all 4/ beat all 4, but its only around 8 to 8.5 stars at best their games, while mass effect is around 9.5

@anagron63 Well actually ME2 was named by ign as "the" best game for any console since 2005. Bioware who made Mass Effect 2 said that it was their best game ever. I looked up your turok game, and the n64 version has a better rating for it from numerous sites, compared to the newer console versions. ME2 has a 9+ Rating on every noteworthy gaming site out there, while turok has a 7. I think the other millions of people compared to 100'000's would agree aswell.

@anagron63 I also looked at gameplay of this actual game, you know the one on this webpage. Turns out its just a movie basically with you pressing buttons at the right moments. Its not a game where you control your movements, you just see something happen then you have to click with about 1 second to spare, if you don't you die. FUN!

They're really lagging behind, technology-wise. One of the very few successful interactive movie-type of game in our current generation is Heavy Rain, and it had gorgeous graphics.
I'm not a graphics whore by any means (Heck, I still believe that Chrono Trigger's sprites are beautiful), but if what really matters is what you LOOK at (interactive movie) and make choices out of it, they'll have to step it up. The old movies had believable dinos, these look like wrinkled plastic.
Its TellTale games if you didn't know. Their graphics were never impressive. Their games like the new Back to the future games and the Sam and Max games had not so good graphics but they were fun.
They focus more on gameplay than graphics which for me would be a win.

This game is just a slight mix up and some new elements thrown in to make an original story of the movies we grew up with. It seems the vast majority of people seem to think this game looks like it has potential (ignoring the graphics which are by no means terrible but aren't exactly great, not that graphics are extremely important anyways).

@Danid0732 lines of Dino Crisis but i did read someone's comment about a Uncharted like approach which I think could've been quite cool. Just slightly tune down the parkour by a bit and the all out shooting and just make it more like a survival game and that could be pretty cool right there. Movie games do tend to be just cheap cash ins but If they've put the time and effort to put such a original idea

I'm all for quality versus looks, but the game's fluidity does not do the t-rex justice when it moves like a stop-motion character. The game sounds appealing, but it doesn't hurt to give the game another cosmetic boost especially for such a legendary franchise.

This game was not about being the best game ever. It's for the fans who went to see the movie in theatres and for the 90s generation who collected the toys. You kids who play COD or Halo all the time value different things in games like graphics and that's fine, but don't complain about a game that you will never play, just go and obsess over a game that you consider the best. A true JP fan would love any game that is based on the films or books, keep that in mind.

I'm all for quality versus looks, but the game's fluidity does not do the t-rex justice when it moves like a stop-motion character. The game sounds appealing, but it doesn't hurt to give the game another cosmetic boost especially for such a legendary franchise.

get the game the more this game sels the more $ the company wil make then a better company will notice this and relize jurassic park can make them $ so they'l want to make a jurassic park game but of course beter to make more $ out of it especialy since jurassic park 4 will be released 2013 it will gain more popularty so just spare the 40$ for the game in order to get a beter verision of this game maybe another operaton gensis

Also I get that it isn't suppose to be the best game ever, I grew up with Jurassic park as a kid and played with the toys back in the 90's but it will get more hate than love if it is to rough around the edges ,so to speak, I hope that I am wrong and this was old beta phased footage. that way it is better but I will still probably just rent it.

This probably be a good game if 1. it hadn't been in development hell for a couple of years 2. if the animation movements didn't look so clunky and out of date and 3. if they hadn't rushed it out which is obvious thats what happened.
I will probably rent this game from a video store or red box instead of giving up 60-40 dollars. just to be safe.

This game was not about being the best game ever. It's for the fans who went to see the movie in theatres and for the 90s generation who collected the toys. You kids who play COD or Halo all the time value different things in games like graphics and that's fine, but don't complain about a game that you will never play, just go and obsess over a game that you consider the best. A true JP fan would love any game that is based on the films or books, keep that in mind.
