  • e' obbligatorio vedere il film - è unico ve lo ricorderete per sempre - leoclan-milano

  • it sounds like the music from the "lone wolf mcquade" with chuck norris.

  • Frank: Morton once told me I could never be like him. Now I understand why. Wouldn't have bothered him, knowing you were around somewhere alive.

Harmonica: So, you found out you're not a businessman after all.

    Frank: Just a man.

    Harmonica: An ancient race.

  • THE LAST REAL MEN DIE IN THE EARLIER 19's

  • I LOVE THE WESTERN SKY, GREATS FROM GERMANY

  • the music from 0:00 to 1:25 really gives the feeling that the far west is a cruel and inhospitable place, doesn't it?

  • everything is American because the Americans saved the little tiny stupid weak europeans from the big bad german shepard wolf, so shut the fugg up "mcverlei" and the rest of you "you're a peein'" idiotas , go get a bank with a currency bitch!

  • the scene related to this sound is one of the best, Fonda riding a horse and meeting Bronson, it reminds me my grandfather riding his horse towards me when I was a child, in Brazil, he was not a business man, he was just a man too, an ancient specie...

  • Vtedy na Západe (SLOVAK)

  • Just a man.

  • NOBODY MAKES WESTERNS LIKE THE ITALIANS.I WISH THEY CAN RESURRECT THE GENRE,BUT SERGIO IS GONE!

  • @masterpatric07 Agreed. I loved watching spaghetti westerns as a kid. I feel like the only person in my school that knows about these wonderful films.

  • @wcw2793 You must be my long lost twin. Lol.

  • @Transformers2themax The worse part is when I explain to them what they are and then someone says,"There's no cowboys in Italy!" I merely look at them like they're idiots. Hmmm... Maybe I should give them that letter that Angel Eyes left for Tuco after the gunfight in the town lol.

  • @wcw2793 What makes it a pain for me is the fact that kids at school don't know anything about film. I have one friend and he does. He and I are big Tarantino and exploitation film fans. But yeah, no one else really understands the purpose of filmography. It's supposed to be artistic. It's not just a movie and that's that. It's even worse when it comes to music....I currently am actually writing a western of my own in the form of a '60s biker film. I love old cinema.

  • CHILLS !!!!!!!! ~ while listening with ear-phones. And the movie comes back to life.

  • @mmbmbmbmb It was so real! :)

  • tiempos de gun man,que bellos tiempos

  • Ennio seems to have said the last word on composing film music, and it seems unfair on those aspiring to compose such music. Every time they want to conjure up an effect, exploit the musical potential of an unusual sound or object etc.. they will inevitably think of him. They will have to wrack their brains so as not to seem an insipid version of Morricone.

  • Ennio Morricone, Basil Poledouris, Hitler........

    More dead men.

They were all alive till they met you Frank.

  • If you listen close to the background (of the trumpet) in the middle to end section you can hear where they ripped this off and made it electronic keyboards etc for SCARFACE.... well I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery eh? LOL

  • @thekeifernet yeah your right this indeed is the same riff from scarface.

  • @ThePurcy And Lone Wolf Mquade, and Bruce lee used it in Way of the dragon.

  • They completely copied this in Forbidden Kingdom, for the song "The Tyranny Of War"

  • Without Morricone, Sergio Leone films might not even be known - just sayin

  • @myrtlebox I don't agree. Many westerns were made with Morricone scores, but unless you're a spaghetti western fan you probably never heard of them. Leone's movies have stood the test of time because Leone was an artist and a perfectionist in every department, with a great feel for what entertains. He chose Morricone when he was virtually unknown, and encouraged and influenced him to do his best work. Without Leone you might never have heard of Morricone, genius though both are/were!

  • @myrtlebox They definitely complemented each other, but Morricone is only Morricone because of Leone. A great director hires the best people and then brings the best out of them. Leone needed a composer as imaginative as Morricone, but without Leone's leadership, there would be no Morricone.

  • @ebbotube: Why do people feel the need to rate movies into a strict order of preference? Sometimes I'm in the mood for the dollars trilogy, and on those days I love the dollars movies more. Some days I'm in the mood for something longer, more emotional - and on those days I love this more. Shock horror: sometimes I'll even be in the mood for something other than Leone. To lock myself into a position of "this movie is not that good because I prefer Eastwood"... makes no sense to me.

  • the film itself is not that good , @least compared to the dollar trilogy , but i think this piece of music is beyond words

  • Bronson's outfit is equal to No Name's poncho look. Just my opinion.

  • @Noodles37UK Better imo...that harp compleates the look. ;^) Doesn't hurt he's plays it decent.

  • Música tema do Racha Cuca!

  • i like how he used the shrieking noise of train wheels to tie in with the tracks being built in the movie

  • this movie was made because of the succes of the man with no name trilogy

  • @MegaNIKID This film was made because Charles Bronson turned down the offer of being the man with no name.

So instead Sergio after his giant success made this with Charles Bronson to complete his work with his all-stars actors.

  • Stop calling this an American movie.

  • hey!! the first notes are the same in "The way of the dragon", when chuck norris is on the stairway of the plane!

  • i also have that movie, either.

  • the greatest western of all time and the music is awesome

  • 0:02-0:15, this music also heard on Bruce Lee Movie, "The Way of The Dragon" as Colt's Theme (Chuck Norris).

  • @seclusionloner Isn't that movie called Return of the Dragon here in the States?

  • yes it is, but i got the bruce lee re-mastered DVD box set (the big boss aka "fists of fury", fist of fury aka "the chinese connection", the way of the dragon aka "the return of the dragon",game of death and tower of death: game of death 2. ( i got it for @14.99-$19.99 at Wal-Mart).

  • "What are we going to do with this one Frank?"

    -spits-

"Now that youve called me by name..."

    BOOM!

  • hellz yeah, I'm looking to find the cd this is from and do a WOW dungeon vid to this.

    It screams UNDEAD!

  • @Gojiira please tell me you're kidding.

this movie is an american classic. possibly the best western ever made, and you're going to use it for a WOW VIDEO? REALLY?

  • @commandocucumber well i wouldnt say american classic^^

  • @LedZeppelin03 Then you know nothing about movies!

  • @KyDodenhoff Clearly you don't as this movie isn't American.

  • @KyDodenhoff I mean its not an "AMERICAN" movie for me.. do you know what i mean?

  • morricone,leone= masterpiece

  • In Japan, it's simply called "Western".

  • Cheyenne: Judas had to be content with $4970 less.

Harmonica: There were no dollars in them days.

    Cheyenne: But sons of bitches....yeah!

    :D

  • I wish I could hear this for the first time every time I hear it :)

I dunno if it's my all time favourite film but at least it's the film I watched the most, like an old song you never get tired of..

  • "Once Upon a Time in the West" is translated as "Tenkrát na Západě" in Czech ;)

  • I can feel the death if I hear this man.

    Ennio is a Genius.

I swear I love This man for His Composings.

    Incredible good.

    I am KO.

  • All songs try to be this one.

  • Morricone rocks!!

  • hä?

  • I didn't get it either.

  • if you like this track check a very rare one "Francesco de masi - lone wolf mcquade" is based on this track (or is the original i dont know)

  • the best!!!!

  • Subject: brown rocked as aide quits over war

Anagram: We Q - verbose - (Canada rid Sir) work out

We Q? No! You slow! Me verbose!

Feud? People who just cannot say we were WRONG! Pride before falls - fools - idiots.

  • E' fortissimo, meraviglioso, eccezzionale, strepitoso, inimitabile, ricorda la mia gioventù...che non torna più. bleck56

  • grande maestro Ennio Morricone

  • if Fate itself has a soundtrack, it is scored by Ennio Morricone

  • I couldn't agree more...

  • well have you ever heard of sarcasm or ironi, if you see some strange things typed by me is just becasue im bored, people take forum and internet crap too serious so i cant help myself.

And what the hell has Illuminati anything to do with my comment? :) play a roleplaying game instead dude :D

  • Believe me, its enough :)

  • "So, you found out you weren't a business man after all?"

    "Nope, just a man."

    "An ancient race."

  • RIP Charles Bronson..

  • Yeah, when you're right, you're right...

I was taking the "Ron Paul" approach to be gentle on both the crooks (who don't really deserve it) and the population.

  • He plays when he should talk, and he talks when he should play...

  • just as classic as "When you have to shoot, shoot, don't talk. " from the good the bad and the ugly

  • "Keep your lovin' brother happy."

  • ...Only at the point of dyin'.

  • How ironic that other "Mortons" have indeed come along and are working on killing off the human race....

  • Not really ironic...it's EXACATLY what he meant...

  • AWESOME

  • 'SO U found out U weren't a business man after all eh Frank?' 'Nope, just a man'

    'An ancient race'

  • What amazed me more was how Leone linked this in with the most jaw dropping cinemetography i have ever had the pleasure of watching on the silver screen.

  • If U have a chance watch Leone's Italian Sword & Sandal epic 'The Colossus of Rhodes' one of his early directorial efforts. It's not polished in the tradition of his westerns but the cinematography is pretty impressive....very epic large scale production with awesome set designs & the port of Rhode's scenes with the Colossus R top notch....

  • klassic man lets watch it again ...drunk sober or tired this film and score is priceless....

  • @dapoetmaster only at the point of dying

  • Amazing

  • Thanx 4 adding.
