I dunno, you can see a couple of moments of frustration but I dont think theres anything severe here. I mean, I love MJ's performances. He is a legend. But although he dropped subtle hints (like singing "Brad, what are ya gonna do" (haaaahaha) I dont think there was much else. Yeah he pulled a face but its hard to draw the line between his feeling with the music and actual anger. From what I saw, a lot of the "frustration" he showed was actually his body reacting with the music, and not anger.
The uploader is wrong. Michael was NOT supposed to sing the 'you know how I feel, this thing cant go wrong, I cant live my life without you'. Go watch MJ sing IJCSLY on the Dangerous Tour - Sediah Garrett sings that part as it is supposed to be sang. He is purely putting on a show for the audience, ie his body language is superficial and he is not really angry at Marva.
He's so close to punching a wall. @3:20, he heads toward the camera with a smile, then fades into an angry expression. Then @3:27 he walks towards her makes slapping motions in the air In the end, the music stopped abruptly, so he had no choice but to stop too. Then he looked back as if to say "WTF!" I assume that when it comes to performances, Michael needs everything to be perfect for his fans.Aww, poor Michael, don't get upset :( We know you've been working hard!

Marva was supposed to stop singing and leave the stage about a minute and a half earlier than she did. When the music stopped earlier... that was why Michael turned to Brad and asked him: "Brad, what are you gonna do?" If you see the Siedah Garrett version, she exits the stage at the right moment. Marva doesn't. It's quite funny though here.. To see Michael so upset, especially when he comes to the camera and sings to it. He is such a perfectionist..

And about the end, i think she was going to stop as it was meant to be, but the light did go lately, so thats why she kept on singing, she didnt know what to do lol

It's amazing the way he maintained while she was obviously trying to see if she could make him go off. Whatever the reason she decided to change the way it was rehearse I hope she learned from it. Michael on the other hand, ever the showman, proved that the show must go on.

Come on people! :o) It was pre-planned. That was a tight cut-off - it's part of the performance. The disheartened look at the end - on purpose - it goes with the song - "What will I do if I can't stop loving you?" And as for Brad, that was Michael's cue to him to wrap up the tag - and they planned to end it on the word "stop."

I actually think the part at the end where she keeps on singing WAS Brad's fault...the MUSIC kept going after she said "stop" so she kept singing (either just naturally or thinking she better wing it since the cue was missed).

Lovely posting, I have the whole concert myself on DVD. Now I don't think that he was angry with his singing partner at all. He seemed to get annoyed with whoever was handling the PA beginning at around :50. Furthermore, she sang her parts correctly. If he had come in at around 1:30 - he would have been wrong. He and Marva were making alot of eye contact and trying to stay together. Its a breakdown means it is time to stop. Brad must have gotten fired after this.

Between like 3:40 and 5:00 they're supposed to be going back and forth singing to each other, sort of alternating singing "and if I stop" and "what will I do", etc. You can see around 4:00 she kinda stops singing, he sings "it's a break down" and "tell me, tell me" almost like he's schooling her to "come on, sing it girl" and she's just not getting with it. I think on tours after Bad and Dangerous, he was tryinging to be more spontaneous on this part and it just wasn't working here, with her lol

It looks like it. Can you see it now? What do you think?

@jylissicaluvsmichael no, she didn't take his part, that was not a mistake (if you listen to the other concerts, siedah or sheryl sang this, and on the original song too you can hear it, it's the girl's part), Michael thought it was his part but no lol he can also make mistakes :)
And about the end, i think she was going to stop as it was meant to be, but the light did go lately, so thats why she kept on singing, she didnt know what to do lol

It's amazing the way he maintained while she was obviously trying to see if she could make him go off. Whatever the reason she decided to change the way it was rehearse I hope she learned from it. Michael on the other hand, ever the showman, proved that the show must go on.

Come on people! :o) It was pre-planned. That was a tight cut-off - it's part of the performance. The disheartened look at the end - on purpose - it goes with the song - "What will I do if I can't stop loving you?" And as for Brad, that was Michael's cue to him to wrap up the tag - and they planned to end it on the word "stop."

@vallieegirl No, Brad wasn't fired, nor was Marva. Both accompanied MJJ in History tour.....Michael has forgiven him, and others... Gregg wasn't there, he was touring I think with Eric Clapton at the time...Neither was Siedah, she was also working on her album....

I actually think the part at the end where she keeps on singing WAS Brad's fault...the MUSIC kept going after she said "stop" so she kept singing (either just naturally or thinking she better wing it since the cue was missed).
Either way Michael was upset during this performance:

Lovely posting, I have the whole concert myself on DVD. Now I don't think that he was angry with his singing partner at all. He seemed to get annoyed with whoever was handling the PA beginning at around :50. Furthermore, she sang her parts correctly. If he had come in at around 1:30 - he would have been wrong. He and Marva were making alot of eye contact and trying to stay together. Its a breakdown means it is time to stop. Brad must have gotten fired after this.

Another wise why would camera be on MJJ if it was Marva's turn? I am not disputing who is singing the part correctly, I am referring to how it was rehearsed originally for this concert!

Between like 3:40 and 5:00 they're supposed to be going back and forth singing to each other, sort of alternating singing "and if I stop" and "what will I do", etc. You can see around 4:00 she kinda stops singing, he sings "it's a break down" and "tell me, tell me" almost like he's schooling her to "come on, sing it girl" and she's just not getting with it. I think on tours after Bad and Dangerous, he was tryinging to be more spontaneous on this part and it just wasn't working here, with her lol

@ellendiane1 pay attention: at 1:29 he rapidly turns around with microphone next to his lips and actually opens his mouth, right after that the close up shows his peculiar face impression. You are right, in the studio record and other live versions this short "you know how I feel" was sung by the female, but it might well be that they were rehearsing it here differently. It looks like it. Can you see it now? What do you think?
