It sucks that the Flo TV will end in March. Not a bad service For $15.00 per month, it was a good deal. They should have hung in there a little longer, but at least they had the decency to refund the price of purchase to customers. Hopefully someone out there sees this was a good idea and improves upon it.
As Dr. McCoy used to say "he's dead Jim!" as Flo TV has stopped selling units and will kill off its service next spring (2011). Flo TV says they will issue refunds to the two dozen subscribers dumb enough to buy into this. I just hope these things run in threes and Sezmi is next. Maybe USDTV was the first. ;-)
this thing should be free but Personally I would stick with an iPod touch and some decent MP4 video converter software and wherever you can download shows. but this thing would be great if it had free channels and you only need to buy the device then charge it and that's it.
Why cant i get flo tv on my iphone yet? All they seem to want sell me is mobi t.v. Which is trash. I want to watch actuall channels. Why is iphone dragging its ass on getting t.v. Service to us?
The fact that this product is only for live video with no user content or pausing and recording would be fine, IF it had a descent television lineup. I'd be interested if it could give me what I get at home on the cable box. But only 16 channels? And considering most of them seem to be fluff and "mobile" content that I have no interest in?
Who would want this? You can do so much better with a slingbox or something.
Agreed this product is absolutely pointless. You can't watch Live shows, you can't record any shows and you only get a few shitty channels, no YES network or NESN ... I mean partner with DirecTv and have MLB Extra Innings on there and it would be worth it if all the games were LIVE ... good idea bad execution
@narutouzumaki554 It is? You mean having the ability to watch TV on the go is a pointless ability? Slingbox would be more economical, but this product is in no way "pointless".
It already has. It's not quite the same because it uses the 3g or wifi connection, so it might not be as reliable in areas of spotty service, but there are things like slingplayer that are way better than this.
Omg you idiots their out of business, you guys shoud've got 100 bux back

Big buffering issues with the Slingbox. FLo does not use Wi-Fi or 3G.

News and sports are always live. Utilizes own bandwidth. There's a reason that all of channels are not available on the go.

iPhone is already NTSC ready, so it was just a matter of time before TV hit the iPhone

@DrBuzz0
Disagree. Slingplayer is at the mercy of the Wi-Fi network. FLO uses it's own network with no buffering or capacity issues.

@800lbgorillainc
Still at the mercy of AT&T network. Huge buffering issues when watching live tv.
