  • Lesson learned here today: Polygamy solves the gay marriage debate???

  • Finally, a Monty Python sketch New Yorkers can relate to!

  • I have seen this clip hundred of times, and I still laugh....there were comedic wonders

  • Blimey! The Wife!

  • And Terry Gilliam was forever alone.

  • Now things turned out all right in the end. I think it's my favourite sketch. :P With all their teksts: lovers tiffs and promisses. :P And brilliant play, of course. :P

  • And the gay marriage debate continues...

  • This is by far the cutest sketch! Eeee!!!

  • ...imagine the 5-some...very naughty indeed...i imagine it would be very woody...

  • "You musn't ask how... 'cause it's naughty..."

  • "He's engaged to ME!" is when this goes from being a silly chuckly affair to a load of belly-laughs.

  • oh dear, i had my heart set on a church wedding...

  • who wouldnt want to marry them?

  • 1.22 --> well, that's sorted out then. Who wants wedding-cake? ^__^

  • see? if we have gay marriages we'd have this... and that would be great

  • lmao

  • Ah, polygamy and Monty Python. Just when we thought the world couldn't get any better.

  • I love this sketch with a bloody passion.

  • This is hilarious! simple as :D:D:D

  • Michael Palin reminds me of David Tenant as the 10th Doctor in this one.

  • @schutzenhaus Oh, you just combined my two favourite things!! (Except the Beatles). Now every time I watch this skit, I'll think of Michael as David.... Michael and David are pretty good looking (I think Eric's better looking though)

  • "Blimey, the wife!"

  • I have seeing this sketch hundreds of times, I know it by heart and I still laugh everytime I see it......

  • Talk about being ahead of one's time.

  • the very second Graham steps in and in wih all serious tone sayas his line: "he's engage to me!" that the sketch just turns from entertaining to just ridicolous and hilarious!

  • this bit is a classic...it doesn't gets old

  • Lemon Curry?

  • As if this show couldn't get any slashier ;D

And I agree, I'd marry them all too.

  • @HeatherRawriee Well, you could get married after me, I suppose. XD

  • You've made me the happiest girl alive! We could be one big Python family XD

  • @HeatherRawriee

.... Slashier? ... Oh I get it. One of those.. Hipster things, isn't it...

  • @steveharley0345 Or indeed one of those gay things.

  • @steveharley0345 Haha, no! It's a 'slasher' thing. 'Slash' refers to the slash used between two romantically involved people of the same gender (although it's usually called femslash if between two females). It was first used in the Kirk/Spock or Kirk-slash-Spock pairing. At that time, the word 'slash' and the K/S pairing was even used intermittently!

The term is mostly used in fandoms. =)

  • @HeatherRawriee

    me too! me too!

that is i'd marry them all but not you, not you - i don't know you you see.

however if its full monty style..

  • @HeatherRawriee LOL!!! Agreed. XDD

  • I'd marry them ALL!!

"That's alright, sir, I forgive you. Lovers' tiff!"

  • Oh I'll marry you Terry...and Eric...and John...and Graham...and of course you Michael, I would never forget you!

  • (@SirRobin126)

Suppose one of them comes at you with a pointed stick?

  • I'd show them my silly walk.

  • (@SirRobin126)

But you can't have a silly walk without SPAM!!

  • (@madscientist90)

I don't like Spam...but I do like THE SLAMON MOUSSE!!!!

  • (@SirRobin126)

I'm sorry, but you have been given a dirty, filthy, S~MELLY fork. It's obscene and disgusting! And I hate I hate it I hate it!!

  • (@madscientist90)

Well the fork was given to me in surprise and that is coincidentally our main weapon. Surprise and fear. Our two main weapons are suprise fear and ruthless effencieny.

  • I would marry all of them... together ;)

  • The photo at the end kills me

  • "Well, things turned out all right in the end."

    LOL!

  • But you mustn't ask how, 'cause it's naughty.;)

  • I'd marry Eric :) x

  • "Oh, dear, I had my heart set on a church wedding." I less-than-three you, Eric!

  • I always thought like this when I was little and someone told me a pastor was marrying someone XDD

Anywho, Monty Python is epic, and Eric Idle is awesome xD

  • arguably the funniest sketch ever.

i've stolen this line dozens of times.

    Nigel?

  • "There is such a thing as breach of promise, sir."

    lol'd

  • Blimey! The wife!

  • hahaha

    i love this one

    the ending is just great

  • ''you must ask how because it's naughty'' that made me laugh so much.

  • "Nigel what are you doing marrying him?"

"He is marrying me first sir!"

    "He ius engaged to me!"

  • absolutely awesome!

"yes, i want to get married very quickly."

    "suits me, sir, suits me."

  • i love this

  • hahahaha
