  • I love the music lol

  • what kind of hair would u say u have ? Because we have the same exact hair . like my new growth looks just like urs . & i have no clue what kind it is lol.

  • . It's been 8 months since my last relaxer, its a rough stage, but i dont want to go back to relaxers. It was good to see someone who really went thur what your actually going thur, which is having thick, course hair, thats been relaxed & now being transitioned, i just subscribed u, so show some luv and subscribe me. i do plan to show my journey from relaxed to natrual hair, so look forward to seeing my hair/make-up, & fashion vids.

  • I enjoyed watching this, I love your hair!!!I am transitioning ,I am almost 10 month post. I can't wait for this transition to be over !!!!

  • Craaaaazy music. It seems Kirby Super Star!

  • so lucky your hair grows so fast, why did you decide to go natural?

  • oh my mother lovin god! you look just like Kimberly Elise

  • Yeah I had no idea what i was doing also and made the same mistakes but we all live and learn

  • To tell the truth, You look SOOO much better with curly hair. You should really not care about what people think about you. To me its a change for the better. I'm not digging the straight hair. Thats why i'm transitioning to natural.

  • your hair looks great!!! im 17 years old & 5 months into transition and i love my natural hair.

  • your hair looks beautiful now! Im sure it was all worth it.

  • our curls are like the same except mine are SLIGHTLY looser :)

  • I really think this is inspirational. I am trying to transition my hair in Japan. It is like banging my head against the wall. There is nothing for black hair here and I feel like I am doing it alone, but I am going to stick with it. It's nice to see that everyone has their ups and downs. Here's hoping for healthy hair.

I really like the third song.

  • hi , im going natural and im transitioning now but i wanted to know how do you transtion edges because my edges are so nappy and dry and brittle because i dont have a perm on them and i cant use gel because it makes it wavy and nappy looking can anyone help thanks

  • I'm currently transitioning. I'm just 2 months posts. Your video is an inspiration. My favorite pic. is when your hair is curly for the first time, with the headband. Your grade of hair is simply thick, curly, healthy, and gorgeous! I definately like it when it's curly because it looks healthier and it suits you. Straight looks good on you too. With natural hair, you can have the best of both worlds, curly and straight! The pic where you finally cut all the relaxer off is another favorite.

  • beautiful thick hair!

  • great video- November will be one year of being relaxer free. Watching ur photos reminds me of the hair styles and hair cuts I tried in order to hide the difference between textures. Braids helped me by giving me a 2 month break. In the end it's worth it.

  • Your hair is beautiful! :)

  • :) Oh my goodness we have the exact same curl pattern. I should upload a video too. What's our hair type though??

P.S. I just cut my hair but i left some perm (on purpose - don't yell at me!) lol but i wasn't sure how i would react to the shorter hair. I have about 2 inches of perm left, the rest is natural! & i love my curls! few more months and im doing another snip.

  • oh hell no you couldn't handle that hair texture my hair curls at the root imagine that i won't stop perming anytime soon and sure as hell won't cut my length . so people tend to touch up when the roots wave up smh i'm not doing that anymore. key thing to remember is condition condition and condition

  • Well i can certainly sympathize as i'm going to the transition right now again. First i had stop getting relaxers when i was 15 wore it natural for about 8 years til last year feb 2009 got it relaxed again. Been growing it back out since that time and i hate it lol, but i dont like chemicals either. So my question is, what kind of products do you use and styles? Do you ever press your hair with a hot comb? I hate doing that too cause it takes me 3 hours to do it lol.

  • Comment removed

  • @yagurl8 what kind of question is that?

    That can't be serious.

  • umm i was wondering if it is damaging to ur hair if you go long periods of time without perming it during ur transition? Do you have to cut ur hair regularly during transition or can u jus let it grow in protective styles?

  • we have the exact same hair texture

  • i love you thick big hair its gorgeous natural

  • How do you know what your curls will be like?

  • what hair type are you?

  • hate the music..gosh

  • ok so mi hair is just lik yours and im getting so frustrated cause mi sis hair is completly natural and she hates it and i love it so im goin natural but i wanna scream and quit i've been without a perm since spring break ughh how much longer do i have to go???n wat do you recommend me doin in the mean time??

  • omg!!! i swear my hair looks like urs at 1:42 (dry) and 2:07 (wet)... and i just want to take a razor to it sometimes!!! the two textures are just to much lol this might sound weird.. but you have a really nice hairline

  • its funny how when people try to go from perm to natural and go back to perm, they end up going back to natural

  • I'm 14 and i am transitioning and my hair has not been permed or flat ironed in almost maybe a month and i am already loving the fluffiness of it..after my BC I plan to get dreads.

  • My hair has tight curls in it, but I have no idea how to manage it.Do you have any ideas?

  • awesome music

  • i luv ur video because it is very honest.......ive tried to go natural a dozen times and then get fustrated and relax it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so thanks for the inspiration

  • Your hair is beautiful!

  • omg thank yu so much for posting this me n yu have the exact same natural hair type and i always wonder how it would look when it grew out i just decided to go natural and i have about 1 inch of natural hair. only thing is im going to be growing mines out with weaves and braid :)

  • Wow, this video wasn't inspirational at all, lol

  • great! thanks for watching!

BTW how long have you been baldheaded, fat and hideous? You should just let it go, jealousy and bitterness are just not cool qualities to have. ;-)

  • @love4stl4sho lol you aint lien!! haha

  • what i love about seeing all my newly natural sistas is that "amazingly" natural hair just amplifies on our natural beauty i did the bc back in january so its been three months now and i know im never going to look back to perms

  • congrats!

  • great video and the music is sexy lol. thanx for sharing your journey. i am transitioning right now, and its going smoothly so far but this is only the beginning lol

  • yea ur right about the sexy music haha!

    good luck!

  • girl i feel you with that 6 months thing, i had a fight with my hari today and it marked the 6th month and i was like "ok, im half way to getting it chopped"

  • OMG.....I'm at 6 months and its a pain 6 more to go tho :(

Ever since I changed my transition to a year instead of 9 months.

  • You had a difficult transition but I'm glad you finally made it. Your curls are beautiful! I tried transitioning for about 6 months but couldn't take the 2 textures and I've never worn weaves and braids so they weren't an option for me. I did the BC and just toughed it out with my half inch TWA!

    Congrats!

  • I wish I had done that, its too late now though I would have to start over :(

  • Very beautiful! You look so much better with curly hair.

  • thanks! I agree :)

  • When you went natural the second time, what did you use in your hair to make it curly?

  • my hair is naturally curly, I dont use anything to make it that way

  • Miss lady i absolutely am in love with your hair, it is so thick and healthy looking

  • thanks! :)

  • its on the comments under this and the info bar

  • Looks good from beginning to end! Glad you stuck with it this time. Im still jealous of your head full of hair! LOL Beautiful!

  • thanks :)

  • i really like your music selection in this vid...could you list the names of all the songs? thanks!

  • Further Seems Forever- The Deep

Crank Squad- Crank Dat Pac Man

    Luciana- Yeah Yeah

  • thanks

  • and Happy holidays!

  • thanks, you too and happy new year!

  • Nice video!! I'm not having any hair issues, as of now. but time will tell....lol

    Thx for sharing

  • What a great video my hair is doing this without me trying, last 3 perms did not take, people told me to switch perms but I think my hair wants to be natural I am seriously thinking about it, after watching this even more so.

    Thanks for sharing.

  • Its always worth a try! Good luck if you do!

  • It's awsome how you kept up with taking pictures of your hair. It looks so pretty.

  • thank you :) I have like a thousand pics I just found

  • you go girl you had a fight with your hair

  • yep lol

  • WOW from 2:00 to 2:15 is were Im at now. I have been w/o relaxer for 7 months and it is getting hard...the straight ends are breaking/spliting and the kinky stuff is thick...

Im at my wits end and I want to cut if off before school starts back up. I will just wear braids until its a good length...Im soo done with straight hair its not even funny LOL

Thanks for the great vids al00fone!!!

  • I know what you mean, I feel the same way, watching these videos makes me want to say heck with it and do the natural thing, it would be cool because alot of people I know have relaxed hair going natural will make me different then the rest, my daughter has permed hair but her hair is so long and it looks really nice, mine has a mind of its own, I will not cut it until it has a good length because too short will not work for me, good luck

  • Try it! My hair was long with a relaxer and I liked it, but nothing beats being natural. Since your hair is long you can transition for a long time anyway

  • Congrats on making it 7 months! I got to 8 months when I gave up the first time. Definitely try braids to take a break, they give you time to think about how you are going to tackle your hair when you get out of them

  • girl. it took like magic for me to last 1 year. but 2??? lol yay natural hair

  • haha yea if I ever had to do it again i probably would just shave it off, it was really hard
