  • what the fuck's up with the fucking sad music!?!?!?!?!!!!!

  • He's still the only Goaltender who does those amazing glove saves! Incredible hand eye coordination! LOVE ROY!!!

  • loved to watch him play didnt know what was going to happen.

  • @GoCanucksssssssGoooo At least the Avalanche have won the cup

  • Coming from a Bruins Fan, I will definitely admit that Patrick Roy was the Greatest Goaltender in his time! Better than Marty Brodeur, Dominic Hasek. Believe me, NO ONE COULD TOUCH PATRICK ROY! And I loved it very much when he won 2 more Stanley Cups in Colorado after the Assclown Habs dumped him like yesterday's garbage. I only know for a fact that Patrick Roy would have won 3 more Stanley Cups with the Habs if he were to play his entire career in Montreal. But, we will never know that.

  • he has a wiliam jennings trophy also for year 2001

  • Patrick is the best goalie of all time. Brodeur only passed his record cuz of the different eras brodeur started b4 him and also he is still playing as the years passed on the goalie styles started changing so it helped brodeur getting more wins. Patrick Roy for life my inspiration to start playing hockey. Hockey is the best sport watched it ever since i was 3 months old with my dad and grandfather best canadian goalie 2 ever live.

  • Patrick Roy... Dirtiest NHL Goalie Ever

  • Patrick Roy. The most clutch goalie the world has ever seen. Brodeur may have more wins, but PR has 4 cups with 3 Conn Smythes and more playoff wins by a landslide. No other goalie i would want on my team if the game was on the line.

  • @dpiddy000 And let's also not forget who was the Conn Smythe Award winner of Montreal's last 2 Stanley Cups. STUPID ASSCLOWN HABS!

  • @GoCanucksssssssGoooo thats true but brodeur has won more games than roy cause roy retired than brodeur got morewins

  • You'll always be a legend roy, :D he was intense but he had the skills to back it up, freakin amazing guy

  • Dominik Hasek allways overplay Roy.

  • @ae446c Fuckin Wings fans...

  • @Steyr455

    No! Go Flyers!

  • @GoCanucksssssssGoooo i agree, why would people think brodeur is better then roy! the one who won 4 stanley cups and several other trohpies!

  • @GoCanucksssssssGoooo As much as I hate brodeur and agree with you roy's team did not suck. Sakic? Forsberg? Borque? Foote? Blake? Hejduk? and that's just a very small part of the long list.

  • even though he did not quite have them down, roy pioneered almost every move that is part of a goaltenders aresenal today

  • To say Brodeur had the privilege of playing on better teams holds no weight. Roy played on some pretty powerful Canadien and Colorado teams, so give Marty his due. Brodeur's records are going to be almost untouchable, and he did not get there because he sucks!!!!!!!

  • @tank3ful LOok at this year's stats?

  • There's an old saying about the (greatest ever - Canadian! ) wrestler Bret "Hitman" Hart ( which I agree with as well ) that also applies to the NHL's and Hockey's greatest goalie of all time, ( another Canadian! ) Patrick Roy :

" THE BEST THERE IS, THE BEST THERE WAS, AND THE BEST THERE EVER WILL BE! "

    PERIOD!

  • @craigandjolene you're right there Roy was the excellence of execution in goalthending lol.

  • Man I was only 10 when he retired but man I have never cried harder the day his jersey went to the rafters. I idolized him

  • th great one 99 roy 33 wierd

  • @ch2113 and lemieux 66 xD

  • he won the stanley cup as a rookie goalie that's amazing

  • @MultiSteelpanther He won the Conn Smythe trophy as a rookie. That's even more amazing.

  • Why you only show Roy with the Avalanche? With the Habs he won 10 overtime periods in a row during the Stanley cup finals which leads the Habs to win the Stanley cup!

  • broduer aint got shit on roy i agree with mozzer232

  • exactly what mozzer says, dont have anything to add to that.

Roy #33, #1 OF THE WORLD. no doubt

  • Anybody who argues that Brodeur is better than Roy needs to lay off the rocks. Roy dominated two completely different eras of hockey with two different teams. That 1993 Canadiens team would have been elimintated in the first round with any other goalie. 10 of their wins were in OT. That is just absolutely absurd. Brodeur is amazing. But his amazing defenses assembled by Lou Lamirello should get equal credit to the success of that franchise.

  • He really is better than brodeur! Numbers dont tell the whole true. Roy is just so amazing!! I love his style and attitude. it is something we won't see for a long long time.

Brodeur has better numbers than roy because he has played longer.

  • SECOND best goalie ever. after brodeur

  • Idiot, brotheur is not better then Roy what do you know about hockey to say that?

  • I got his autograph when I was a young kid. It's worth about $250 but I wouldn't ever sell it.

  • duh... they always look at the numbers... Playing style also counts... we knew that brodeur has better numbers, although kipper plays better... so records not always counts...

  • most wins and shutouts marty broduer

  • @redwingz1998 Most playoff wins Patrick Roy. Most clutch goalie of all time.

  • if roy and brodeur had a match with their favorite team roy would win no question about it like seriously why do people like brodeur he has more losses and i agree with GoCanucksssssssGoooo brodeur i a big show off i think roy is thee best golie their was and the best their is and the best their ever will be

  • Roy is better then Brodeur

  • Notice at the 2:05 mark, the sleeves on Roy's shirt.

How many saves were made by that shirt. Urban legend has it that he had a cord sewn between the sleeve and waist. I play net and DO NOT own a shirt that size, although I could really use the help.

  • Oh nice Patrick Roy, trough this video I have new favourite Goalie, There they come: Patrick Roy, Miikka Kiprusoff, Fredrik Norrena and few more names that i dont remember x) BTW I play basketball not hockey i just know pretty about hockey x)

  • patrick was the best goalie who played in his era

  • Er ist einfach nur gel gewesen der beste überhaupt

  • the only reason habs won in 86 and 93 was because of roy, u cant say that about about brodeur who played on a great defensive team. it takes a special kind of goalie to win in the pressure cooker of montreal and this guy did it when he was 20...with all the talent carey price has he's starting to crack.....

  • did he start to crack!

    :(

    Roy was a great goalie

    i will always remember him

  • Roy is and will always be the best. he had more skill and talent than brodeur!

  • Honestly, Roy is fucking boss and will always be better than Bitch Brodeur

  • Why does it seem only the ignorant Roy and Brodeur fans come to the goalie's videos?

They're both great goalies, two of the best of all time.

Now I like Roy a lot better being a major Avs fan, but the next best goalie I've seen play has gotta be Brodeur and the 2001 Stanley Cup series showed that.

Now I think Roy is the better goalie because of his clutch play, and innovations he's brought to the position. Plus he's one of the biggest personalities in hockey, the Gordie Howe of goalies

  • k i know he is one of the greatest goaltenders. he pioneered the butterfly system which is used by almost 90% of goalies world wide. but martin brodeur is better then patrick roy

  • No Way! Patrick Roy came up with the butterfly system and even statistically better than brodeur

  • Mann, look it up, Roy didnt invent the butterfly style, he just popularized it because of his skill, im not saying hes not an amazing goalie but id definately say Brodeurs better and im in no way a brodeur fan but just look at stats

  • Roy is way more clutch than brodeur and Roy reinvented the butterfly system. Glen Hall invented the butterfly but Roy changed it and made it better. Roy is the butterfly king.

  • no grant fuhr did dumshit

  • grant fuhr? no he didnt dumb shit why dont u look it up! Glen Hall was a goalie b4 grant fuhr dumb ass. glen hall was butterflying b4 grant fuhr dumb shit look it up!

  • Grant Fuhr wasnt even born when glen hall was playing

  • Why is Brodeur better? He has played behind the best defensive system in the league for the last 15 years. He has never carried the team. He faces 20-25 shots a game, which is why he can play 70+ games a season. Patrick Roy carried many of his Montreal teams, and in Colorado was the playoff MVP on a talent-laden team. Brodeur may have broken the overrated regular season wins record, but smart hockey fans know that you earn your money in the playoffs. Roy was the best in the postseason.

  • proof... who won when New Jersey played colorado in 2001? Marty's an insanely good goalie... but in the playoffs if you have to pick between Roy And Brodeur... i' don't think many people would choose brodeur...

  • I would pick Roy anyday just because hes clutch and u can always depend on him. Brodeur has always had a great defense in front of him so u really dont know how he would do if he didnt have who he had in front of him

  • proof's in the pudding... Roy won against brodeur when they met for a cup final....

    Roy's my man.

  • What are you basing this on? Your ignorance of his greatness or the fact that he's better than anyone who ever played for your team?

  • i cried watching this video. im not a pussy but i appreciate good hockey. roy is and always will be the greatest goalie to play the game. fuc brodeur in his ass. avs4life

  • hell yea couldnt put it anybetter. roy's got the playoff wins, the conn symthes, the cups and overall was just better. roy kicked brodeurs ass in the 2001 finals! go roy!

  • they say with the new no tie rule, roy would have atleast 100 more wins

  • Well then watch Brodeur beat the record!!! BRODEUR ALL THE WAY!!

  • i bet brodeur wont even break 600 wins...

  • yay yay

  • He should have never left.

  • Did he get traded to the avalnche?

  • ya a while ago and hes retired now

  • I miss patrick so much =((

  • Don't believe the Brodeur hype! Martin Brodeur couldn't hold Patrick Roy's jock.

  • Brodeur is gonna end up with so many more records

  • Not really. How about the playoff wins record? How about the Conn Smythe record? Youngest player to win the Conn Smythe? Most consecutive playoff overtime wins? Brodeur can't hold Roy's jock.

  • awesome

my favorite is sticksave at 0.40

  • suomalaist !

  • can u tell me the name of the song please? :D

  • Apocalyptica - Farewall
