@TheGraniteEagle This was just 10 minutes of highlights. Check out the rest of the videos I have all 18 miles recorded in about 20 parts. I also have just 10 minutes of the fast sections. I should probably recompile all of these since utube allowed 15 min videos to cut down on all the parts.
No need to say sorry man I backpack that trail and seen plenty of ppl spill on there bikes. I just wish bikers wouldn't drop there trash. Didn't see you do that thanks!
@jarhiker Yea you will never see me leave anything except maybe tire tracks on these trails. People I have caught littering out there now serve as fish and turtle food for the area. :-)
Unfortunately I have to sell my bikes. My back is smashed up so I will only be hiking the area for quite awhile.
Sure I see them all the time. Just make sure you have a helmet and good brakes. Don't go too fast down hill or the ruts might claim a wheel. Walk up the hills. Most of the trail is nice and flat.
My other videos have the whole trail if you want to look at it. About 22 videos in all hehe.
i wouldnt suggest it some parts of these trails can get pretty intense and you can run into other riders if you dont have a map and go the wrong way because these are all one way trails and i was hurt pretty bad about a year ago.
thats another thing if you happen to get hurt and be four or five miles out theres no way to get help your cell phone will not work out there at all i had to use my bike as a cruch to get back to my car four miles out because i hit a washout and broke my ancle
Just kind of thrown together. 6000 series trek frame (hardtail), XT cranks, XT peddles, XTR Front/rear derailleur, 2008 Fox F80 forks, Thompson seat post, crossmax st wheels, stock disc brakes and handlebars.
Though I prefer to use my trek 820 steel frame. Seems more stable on the rough parts.
I've walked that trail a hundred times. It runs behind my house. Inconsiderate people on bikes are dangerous to pedestrian traffic. I believe the state should require a bikers IQ to be above plant life before they let them ride the trails.
you didn't get the entire trail, the first intersection you are supposed to turn left for the complete trail. you cut off about 4 or 5 miles. go back and do it again.
yes of course, i know you did not film the entire trail. what i am saying is that you missed a turn, and took a shortcut. you missed about 4 miles of the trail.
Check out my videos. I got the whole trail but it took 21 parts. This was just the highlight version or proof of concept. Perhaps I should edit out the beginning.
Or go over to vimeo I got the entire trail in only three parts.
The Poto Rocks! This is where I cut my teeth on mountain biking back in the early 90's. I still come from Toledo to go here. Wish you had some of the technical climbs.
I just got back from a race in Muskegon. As soon as the weather and my schedule cooperate together I will get the whole thing in high quality. THe climbs just don't look very good or imposing with this goofy low res. Already bought enough 2GB chips to get the whole trail.
I just checked it out quick. Never heard of it but will give it a try. Hopefully I can post longer videos at higher quality there. To get this whole trail it would take about 12 10 minute videos.
Cmon man you didn't show the HILL? Right after crossing over Hankerd.........about half a mile - a mile in........its a killer.

Check out the last couple parts. (18-21) This was just a preview. I did the whole 18 miles in 21 parts. I wish utube would allow longer videos.

Can a average Joe and a comfort type mountain bike take his 10 year old son with his BMX on this trail?
