My father has MS When he smokes, which he does alot , he forgets to cath. he gets bladder infections. He has many people around him who help, love and care for him, and everyone is getting fed up with him. he gets so high and can hardly talk or remember things, but thats not the real problem... he falls asleep in his chair and falls everyday. I smoke pot as well, i know its not a serious drug,but its really messing him up. When he doesnt smoke hes upbeat, awake, generally more responsive.

I remember when Medicare would only cover 5 catheters a month unless on active chemotherapy. It was like you were only officially aloud to pee 5 times a month.

Beyond that, you had to try to clean it with soap and hope. The only thing you were guaranteed was a UTI once a month -- and ultimate renal failure.

I feel for you relevant to your dad, man. When someone's only internal yearning is for a toke -- they've lost motivation to fully live.

I took control of his SSI checks so now he cant get weed anyway, so I will see how this works out.

Medical marijuana, real medicine, real patients real doctors, being controlled by politics. Doctors should have the say on what will help a patient, not politicians! When was the last time you went to your representative when you caught a cold? Legalize compassion! God knows you too will need compassion sometime in your life!
