Thank you for the footage! My name is Pete Verdicchio with Salazar Roofing & Construction and because of this video I knew where help was needed. I am set up in your neighborhood and if you need any assistance please feel free to stop by or call me. 885-6961. FYI Statefarm is the best when handling claims for their policy holders.
I'm pretty sure that's a garbage can lid and not a cat. It does look like an animal bounding across the lawn, though. Thanks for the nice comments. seth, you're not the first person I've heard who thought there might have been a tornado in there somewhere. Our weather radio went off several times to give us warnings that a storm was approaching. Sorry about the power. We lost it twice for about 4hrs each time.
I'm over on Eufaula and Alameda. Took a nap and woke up to what I thought was a tornado. Definitely, the worst freak microburst I ever experienced. No warning, or sirens which is ironic considering the national weather center is located here. didn't know what was going on, but it looked like someone had machine gunned my garden down. total devastation. Just got my power back around 9pm tonight.
Dude that was good commentary! Funny but hint of concern no less. Great video. I live in a house of similar design (aka plastic house) in South OKC and know all to well the design does not hold up to well in a wind storm. Best of luck on the repairs!
Is that a black cat running in the driveway across the street? It gets hit by the hail and gets knocked out. Then the wind and rain sweep it away, at the end of the video the cat is gone. Poor little cat :(
