  • U should fish on road side where the loo is and cast to the island u will catch loads and use a helicopter rig with a 20to22mm boil and u will catch

  • Is it free to fish that lake? do u need a membership?

  • @Mw2xPlayer its not free to fish mate its owned by longleat the fish are not looked after like they are at longleat but it is a runs lake most of the fish have dodgy mouths if you dont want to be pestured by bream use around a 18mm boilie you dont need a membership and there is a good cafe there hope this help tight lines

  • Lovely lake. Badly run, to many swims, far to many fish, fished to death by numptys

  • well it wasn't a bad session but better luck next time i when fishing at a place called pockeridge in corsham and the biggest carp out of there was 29 lb

  • day three of the botln marathon :)

  • the biggest out of sherewat is 25.

  • love this lake i always do night sesh though, every time ive been ive caught good size carp you should try the oppsite bank to you thats the best, the roadside where you fished isnt that great ,my only fault on shearwater is to much bream. if youre doing longleat fish in the top or middle lake 1st lake is to small and for beggeiners, likeng the vids though :)

  • u would normally only do surface fishing when there high pressure, the weather conditions in the video dont seem right for surface fishing, may got ut tactics wrong their lads

  • Hi carpmaniac123, unfortunately we listened to the weather man who said that it was going to be bright and sunny around 22 degrees! As Shearwater is a really prolific surface water we thought it would be ideal but the weather went against us. The fact that there were around 50 anglers on the lake when we arrived also did'nt help! That said we also spent the day fishing p.v.a bags and boilies on the bottom along with fluro pop ups and that did'nt work either so it was just one of those days!

  • Better luck next time lads.A lot of lakes havent been fishing well lately, but i think it will soon change.Get yourself on a water that has lots of 20+ carp and sit it out.Good luck .

  • 1St :D
