Latency is another thing- how many hops it takes to go from one server to another- your ping might go through dozens of switches and servers to get to a website. 5 minutes???????
That turned out fantastic. Just as I thought, google must have had their pages pre-loaded in the temporary internet files. Either way, chrome is still faster than most other browsers out there. ( :
@ryukenosuke I changed plans and simplified it. I tried to get some sunlight into my computer room and blast lights, and brighten the screen as much as I could so it was a challenge. I believe they admitted in their description they had a very fast connection they were using. I"m sure their computer was faster. For everyday people with average everything, it isn't as fast as they hype it up to be. If I did this test with IE, I am sure it IS faster. (Will have to try that next)
@taofledermaus i think up videos at work and they think i'm crazy! i should make videos of me piecing together weapons in the maintenance department while the maintenance guys look on... i get first dibs from them when monitors and stuff are "retired" from company service :)
