@greyseal88 basically, games of chance are illegal in japan. so, the handle on the machine that controls the ball speed makes it a game of skill, even though it really isn't. what you do is pay 1000Y for I believe 100 balls. you want to shoot the balls out at a speed that will get the most in the spin pocket. you win 2-4 balls every time you get it in the spin pocket, depending on the machine. now, when you get a screen where 2 numbers line up and the 3rd is "teasing" you, it's called a "reach"
@greyseal88 your goal is to eventually line up 3 of those numbers, which is completely computer controlled. once you do, it's called a "fever". that little gate on the bottom of the machine will open and close for a certain period of time. during the fever, balls that go into the gate pay anywhere from 10-15 balls. this can last for 10 minutes or more depending on the machine. you then take your balls to the counter and they give you a slip. you can use your winnings to buy legitimate prizes
@greyseal88 or get special items that are given a monetary value. you then take these items to what looks like an atm machine on the side of the building(gambling is illegal so it can't be in the actual parlor, im not even sure of the entire reason), put them in a tray, in they go, and out comes money. im not sure of the conversion value at the time. hope that explains it lol
