  • im look for a repair manual for a qd-15 10 hp johnson seahorse ; a million thanks, for any info where i could get one

  • I have the same thing and have finally fixed it up to running condition. In the past 3 weeks I have put about 25 GPS miles on it. One question I have is that I get a foamy oily goop that drips out of the exhaust after running it in fresh water (never been in salt water), is the foamy stuff normal?

  • @biffklg yeah, it's normal. these motors don't necessarily burn all their fuel and oil, the goop is unburned oil and water. my 40hp will goop in the driveway for days after going to the lake:)

  • @biffklg I have a QD-15 as well! I read in the factory service manual that at idle speeds, the 'crankcase' of the powerhead accumulates more fuel/oil mix (the portion used for oiling) than it needs and then it actually bleeds off raw fuel/oil mix into the exhaust leg to mix with the outgoing exhaust. I am switching to an Amsoil 'Sabre Outboard' brand oil this season which is fully synthetic and biodegradable because of this

  • Sweet please clean up the lower end.. please
