I love music like this. I'll state my age like everyone else: I'm 22. Born in March 1990, I missed the gretest decade of all time by only 3 months. I wish I had grown up in the 1980s. I don't belong in 2012

Had I been born sooner, I would untimately end up in 2012, but at least I'd get to live through the 1980s. Which I think would have been amazing.

Born 1950, so you miss the depression, war and general hard life (no TVs, fridges, toasters etc) have a 50s childhood, a teenager in the 60s, then be an adult throughout the 70s 80s 90s 2000s and 2010s. And a 50th birthday in the year 2000!
@Gaznugget That's a good point. If you had the opportunity to be born in the middle of the 20th century. you would have the chance to experience some of the greatest parts of the century, while still missing the worst. I think the baby boomer generation really had it good.

If you watch the original video, the group is husband and wife, at least at the time this song was recorded, and you can tell by the video how much they love each other, and the songs has an even bigger impact on you, especially if you are a romantic at heart.

I got a different story. I was so inlove with my first boyfriend in 1988, but we split up that year. After we both had been married, had gotten 2 children each, and devorced, in different cities, we met again two years ago and are now happier than ever living together!!! Old love never dies :-)
