  • Did know Ernie but I love the guy!!

  • Tom Gilburg must be a class act. I think what he said about Ernie is sincere. I like him. Think Tom Gilburg is a special guy.

  • Ernie and God perfect

  • Nicely Said

  • Where I live, people past 70 think of Coach Royal as blasphemous.... he LEFT Seattle and the UW to coach Texas! In the Emerald City such a thing is horrifying :). Like A-Rod signing with Texas and the Sonics move to OKC. You just DON'T leave this god-touched land.... (can you tell I am a sarcastic transplanted Californian.... the only thing that made me sad in the Express was recalling that the only time I was in Ben Schwarzwalder's presence it was to watch SU lose 43-0 to Cal in the '70s)

  • Actually SU was not the underdog. They were favored by 2 touchdowns.

The portral of Coach Royal in the movie is blasphemous.

  • very touching movie and great story, that backfield would of been the best in the NFL

  • I love it when yankees play this "we are so wonderful and non-racist, unlike the bad old Southern people" bullshit routine. Truth is, they are just as racist, they just had fewer blacks. The most segregated cities in America today are not in the South, e.g. Chicage being the most segregated. The worst race riots in the '60s were in yankee-land, i.e. Newark, Detroit, L.A., and who could forget the Boston busing riots! Yankees also didn't pay Civil War blacks the same as whites. Hypocrites.

  • ummm the civil war says it all...racist

  • How much to you uneducated Yankee bozos know about the Civil War? You probably can't even give the dates without looking it up. Slavery wasn't feasible in the North--climate and not agricultural-based economy. Slave ownership would've been too costly. NYC was major slave-trading center till a couple of decades before the Civil War. I had nothing against Davis BTW, I just love to hear Yankees chortle about Southern 'racists.' Makes you feel better about your own racism.

  • uhh sorry we didnt donate our books earlier to your poor ass...you must be tired of reading the 1920's additions...and were better than you.. come on you dont have anything to your names besides incest and the great love of having no dental care

  • Its NOT about location, if the So Called SOUTH and your PEOPLE didnt PASS -JIM CROW Laws and " BLACK" Codes, how would that have HELPED matters? Enjustice anywhere is a threat to Justice everywhere, YES it occured in so-called NORTH too, did that make it right? HELL NO...You LIVE in the SOUTH of North America or didnt you get that in the GEO lesson? Earnie Davis could NOT at the time PLAYED of U of TX. but SU was sure glad he did. IT's about ablitity..

  • I'm not saying there are not racist in the north, It's just that you southern boys are stupid and schools up north, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Michigan, New York, have been integrated since the 40's, you hearing me johnny reb??

  • The movie was wonderful. I encourage everyone to go see it.

  • This is a very inspiring story. All of us can take something from this movie, and apply it to our everyday life.

  • Amazing movie. Honestly, a very important film in terms of football history. As a SU alumni, the legend of Ernie Davis is something you're told about early on - but its amazing to see this film and know his story is being told around the world.

  • awesome movie

    worth seeing twice

i played madden 09 online as clevland to rep this movie

    but lost 23-13

    i was soo sleepy though,lol

  • Ernie Davis was born in my hometown also .. ironic too is that his birthday is same as mine dec 14 .. sad story his life was

  • Did you see the movie? It was great.

  • how is his life a sad story? his life is an inspiration.
