Eat a dick. Like it or not, this was the real, true Astro Boy envisioned and produced by his creator Osamu Tezuka.

This is only the second episode. there's lots more to the series than this.

In fact there's quite a lot of deep, philosophical bits in the narrative about oppression, true heroism, being good because it's the right thing to do, and acceptance.... key components of this story that were severely lacking in the movie.
