I did like this one though, and he's right- people do the best they can in the circumstances they are placed in. Something you do today may not be the best decision when you're looking back on that desicion tomorrow, but you did what you thought was best at that time. So, there's a lot more behind his words than just the obvious

He's saying that you can't always decide what happens in your life, and that when shit happens, of course whoever it happens to is gonna wish it didn't, but it's not up to them. All they have to choose is what to do with those shitty times and how they are going to deal with them.
