  • I reaaaaally like this band

They have so much fun playing their music. Something a lot of bands have forgotten to do.

  • if you have two drummers, why not use that to your advantage and create really cool rhythmic patterns and do cool drum stuff as opposed to having both drummers do basically the same thing (im also talking to you Arcade Fire) dont take on two drummers if you arent going to use them (though i do love this song so much)

  • wheres ninja? anyway its damn awesome

  • One thing that bothers me is why they changed the music scale down a notch... The original was Bb, this is B scale. Is it easier to perform that way?

  • two drummers?

    but why?

  • @theadamlevy because they are awesome...

  • i can respect that

  • @theadamlevy But why not?

  • @theadamlevy have you heard of phil spector's "wall of sound". It this recording idea where he layered up lots and lots of the same instruments till it sounded like a - you guessed it - "wall of sound". Here it's the same kind of principle, the two sets of drums playing (basically) the same thing builds into the bands anthemic style/feel.

    I think it's pretty smart.

  • siiiicccckkkk vvvviiiiddddeeeooo

  • how?

  • I have to imagine that bringing along a live band capable of recreating the sample used on the records live would be very expensive and cumbersome, especially for a band of limited exposure(and revenue) such as the go team. at least they're not just standing in front of a bunch of laptops like some bands.

  • @megathom yeah - it'd be a bit of an expense to lay on just for this one song.

  • no matter who ya are that shit is sick

  • Wow, this sounds so good live!!!!! <3

Love the Go team, and this song is so great~~~~ :D

  • THIS ROCKS!!

  • cool!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Awesome! Great drumming in particular.

  • Yeah, not seeing any brass section got me bummed. It would have been nice instead of say, two sets of drummers.

  • amazing song

  • for those who are looking for the horns on stage... the band used various samples (from a song which i don't know the name of) to create the horn part for this song. for the studio recording of this song, they wrote and recorded guitar, bass, drums, harmonica parts. playing live, they just play along with the pre recorded horn parts.

if anybody knows what song the horns sampled, let me know.

  • I think its hawaii five-O from The Ventures (not sure)

  • definately not hawaii five-o. love that song though.

  • I heard this song and liked it. Unfortunately I haven't liked any other song by the band I've heard, just Junior Kickstart. I wish they had more songs that were similar to this.

  • Check up the album: "Thunder Lighting Strike" :)

  • blazing song.

  • WOW! That was dope! The Go!Team fuckin rock! & yeah, where's the brass section?

  • This is on the new Gta game!

  • where is the brass section ?

  • Man!!! outstanding performance!!! i adore them!!

    btw..

the japanese girls (taylor fukami and tsuchida kaori)looks really butchy to me :)

  • I love the set.

It kind of reminds me of some of the

    Rainbow videos on here. LOL

  • "This is ONLY the best song I have ever heard without any lyrics! Great rythm and wind instruments"... Speaking of Wind intruments WHERE THE HELL ARE THEY ON STAGE?!? :(

  • I read they are using samples from various sources.

  • That´s true.. they use alot of samples from 70´s action movies I have heard..

  • It's in the sountrack of the great movie Knallhart (2006)

  • come to finland again!!! fucking love them!

  • gta 4 song!

  • gr8 song !!

  • 2 drummers?! wow

  • This is going to be in the GTA IV soundtrack.

  • awesome i didnt know that thanks

  • one of the best live bands EVER!!

    love them!!!!

    london=best music ever!!!

  • that's awesome; no lyrics?

  • Lyrics would degrade the song. It's perfect the way it is.

  • just a masterpiece

  • Ohgawd, it sounds even better live! That bass is really adding to the song and its awesomeness <3

    5 Stars!

  • more than 5 stars.... a BILLION!

  • The Go! Team: a band that can get away with having three guitarists, two drummers, and no vocalist half the time.

  • The best song ever....by the Go! Team.

  • This is not the music to junior kickstart.

it goes: de, de, duh. der-de-der-de de de de-duh duuuuuhh. etc.

  • This is ONLY the best song I have ever heard without any lyrics! Great rythm and wind instruments.

  • 2nd favourite song by the go! team.

my first is "everyone's a vip to someone"

  • man wat's the point??

    *shakes head*

  • is that a dude or a girl playing on the drums

  • haha, how sad.

    thats a girl.

  • haha thanks dude, i was like why does he have a man's voice and has no boobs haha and if u no, some asian guys look like girls

  • which drumkit lol?

  • awesome. (:

  • Pretty fuckin' good...Thanks for putting this up.

  • i am dying for another record and chance to see them live again.

  • They use backing tracks, which contain the sounds they can´t reproduce live (the trumpets etc). That´s why the drummers have headphones, so they can hear these tracks perfectly in order to match the tempo.

  • I wish they had lyrics, they have such amazing instrumental

  • A MASTERPIECE!!

  • They use loads of samples

  • Bad or good? So does rap!

  • realy cool... but who plays the trumpets?? insnt this totally live?

  • when i saw them live everything that was heard was there

  • guitar synthesizer... I have one too, I can make my guitar sound like almost any instrument I want.

  • ditto but they arent playing the trumpet sounds on their guitar, i really want to see them live to see how they do it, looks pretty complicated.

  • awesome...i like it.

  • WOW great performance asian girl in striped shirt lovin the moves!

  • Holy Tits! So Good!!!

  • Is it just me? or are they playing this song a LOT slower than on the album?

  • THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR HOSTING THIS!

It was a tough choice for me between these rockers and Massive Attack. I hate when they put so many great bands smooshed up together with no lag time. But I guess it's better to have too many awesome bands than not enough. I gotta say, The Go! Team and Metric have been two of my favorite discoveries this year.

Also, there's a neato in-studio performance by the Thunder, Lightning, Strikers on www.kcr.org in the "Morning Becomes Eclectic" section.
