@MrREH1962 Thanks for sharing you opinion. There are certainly many times when PowerPoint and its alternatives is inappropriate and ineffective but there are other times when it adds a vital visual dimension. Don't throw the baby out with the bathwater.
@gavinmeikle Sorry but I can't think of a time in my 30 years of working when a PowerPoint has added ANYTHING to a meeting. Too many times I have had to sit there losing work time while some putz fidgets around with a projector not working only to have 100+ slides of just black bullet points on white background which added nothing to the presentation.
Hi Gavin: don't get put off by the naysayers. To 99% of the audience most of this is likely to be a revelation! I particularly liked the visual representation of passing too much through the eye of a needle. Well done.
Thanks for adding to the discussion Freddie. I cant take full credit for the eye of the needle idea and it comes from Cliff Atkins of Beyond Bullet point fame.
Poor presentation. Content regurgitated from many other sources - nothing new here.
Did not like your use of the War Graves image to start - too flippant on a very serious and emotional subject.
Presentation is not only about images projected on screen but also very much about oral comment. Your voice and delivery is very sleep-inducing. Where was the enthusiasm? Must try harder.
Totally agree with you about content, use of emotionally sensitive pictures (graves and the overthrow of human rights in China)
As for delivery, where was the energy, the passion, the enthusiasm?
If I'm not mistaken the confidence coach recoreded this whilst sitting down - even for something like this, stand up move around - the audience will notice the difference in your voice
ANY use of PowerPoint is a bad use. STOP using PowerPoint and go back to what works. Effective public speaking.

Haha! I wouldn't worry about that. If we all worried about how original our ideas were, we would get nowhere!

Thanks Shuggie
Good points and useful feedback. Yes I was sitting down when I recorded it. Thanks for taking the trouble to comment.
Best Wishes
