That is not Brian Johnson. It is Mark Mann. He has played on many of Georges albums. Sam Brown is alive and well in the UK and has just released a new CD
Music is a universal language without race religion, creed, gender, nationality or geographical boundry. The comments posted about yanks, britts, etc. are immature and ignorant.
It's her backstage pass. Looks like she tied to her dress. If you look at 5:00, it looks very similar to one and really dangles from her waist while a store tag would be very close to it.
One has to remember who Pink Floyd had as backing singers. I think PP Arnold was one of the others. I think Candy Dulfer does the sax solo. Sam Brown was a known artist in her own right (if nothing else for being Joe Brown's daughter) before she sang backup for Floyd.
She certainly makes this song her own, so to speak! It's just one of many fantastic performances in the Concert for George.
Well, Sam Brown's not American, you doff. She's British. And Harrison's music was heavily influenced by American blues and Elvis, or perhaps you are forgetting his early work with the Beatles. In fact, Harrison's wife, Olivia, is American, so he was OK with "letting yanks do" him. Also, British colonialism wasn't exactly a tea party for India and the Middle East, so spare us your Western European judgment. Let's all try not to log on while drunk on piss-warm beer, OK?
Hey rfleur - don't worry about this idiot. He's likely the same kind of Brit that throws FULL bottles of beer at the futbol referee. There's no talking sense to him.

wow a brunette sam jamming with the greats. Man she's even hotter as a brunette than she was as a blonde. Her voice flows perfectly with slowhand's guitar and capaldi's organ
Sam Brown is awesome! One of the best live performances that I have ever seen! The whole concert is fantastic, but she really stole it! Wish I had been there to see it live!
Does anyone know why this song did not make it onto the Concert for George CD, given it is just about the highlight (apart from Beware of Darkness, of course !) ?
I would SO like to know the answer to your question, I ordered the CD from ebay (I have DVD) I was bummed when I found out this wasn't on it. Not happy.
I really, really wish this was on the cd, it's just not the same watching a dvd to get your fix as whacking on the cd and dancing like a mentalist to Sams amazing vocals and enthusiasm...:D

Actually, the song was cowritten by George and his son, Dhani. This is the last song actually written and recorded by George (on a Jools Holland album). A curious bit of trivia is that the first written/recorded of George's songs was also co-written - with a fellow by the name of John Lennon ("Cry for a Shadow").
Sax player is Tom Scott. He used to be leader of The L.A. Express back in the 70's. He's been around for years. You've heard his sax in a lot of themes for T.V. shows. Look him up here on YouTube for some great music.
