Any type of composite bat is best. At this age a -11 or -12 drop is preferred because most 9-10 yr olds need a lighter bat which can help with bat speed and proper level swing. Length should be based on height. Prices range from $150 -$300. At 10U, most of our team used a Demarini Vendetta which was a -12 drop. Take the length of the bat, minus the drop, and you have the weight of the bat. i.e. a bat that is 31 inches with a -12 drop will weigh 19 ounces. Hope this helps...
@MrLizbudu umm the best bat would be composite and probably a 20 30 and i would go with the denmarinis cf4's and im 13 and i use a 22 32 so in 10u i used a 21 31 or 20 30

@CrusherLL16 However I heard that Vandetta got a durability issue.... is it true?

@MrLizbudu - Yes, they tend to break at the handle. Ours lasted a full season and a half.
