Santa Claus is actually a jumbling up of three people:Saint Nicholas,Odin and Sinter Klaus. It is all a hoax by the Roman Catholic Church to mess with our minds.

Fantastic representation of the true solstice story. It was the subject of my blog yesterday. The origins of Judaism and Christianity took fifteen years of my own unbiased research. The links with the original belief in Aten, is clearly seen in so many ways from the ritual clothing worn by rabbis to the depiction of the Celtic sun god Lugh. The pagan takeover became The Greatest Lie Ever Told.
jesus wasn't even born in the winter (if he even existed), but in the summer. the only reason christmas is at winter time was to take attention away from the pagans who were celebrating the their holidays. it's all a sham.
If jesus was just a personification of the sun, then our sun is very compassionate as jesus said "love thy enemy"... What a woderful sun we have for stupid haters...
@ronnryancelestial I can make up an even more wonderful mythical figure on the top of my head. just because it sounds nice doesn't make it true. christianity is complete b.s.
@SanguineBullet667 Have you red all the books from the new testament? In what passage can you find the birth of jesus christ? The four gospels categorically state that the birth of christ was nowhere on winter...
"And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the FIELD, keeping watch over their flock by night.
@SanguineBullet667 Does anyone in his sound state of mind would brought his flock in the field on winter? Even intelligent atheists and agnostic SCHOLARS are laughing their asses out while reading acharya's books about christ.
@Hercules2345 yes, because christianity originated as another sun worshipping cult, one of the many around at the time of it's origination. the christian scholars who composed the bible, however, made many mentions of the flocks and how they were raised throughout the year. these little facts show that the mythical man couldn't possible be born in the winter even though the original authors of the myth (pseudo sun worshippers) intended it to be so. it's one of the many contradictions inthe bible
@ronnryancelestial Why do you keep removing your posts? Point is the argument that Jesus couldn't have been born in winter due to Luke 2:7-8 is utterly false. Ehrman was a fundy Xian for over 20 years. Ehrman can provide no valid evidence for Jesus. He's just afraid to admit Jesus is a myth.
@ronnryancelestial All have been debunked as forgeries, interpolations etc. The fact is that none ever met Jesus. There was not a single contemporary who mentioned Jesus while he was supposedly alive. The NT claims Jesus was "famed far & wide" in over 20 passages - not 1 can be substantiated with valid evidence.
@Hercules2345 Do you want me to believe acharya s? o c'mon... im not using flourinated toothpaste.
If this acharya will show to public and have debates or discussions with scholars and historians, and refuted them, perhaps i will give her the benefit of the doubt.
@Hercules2345 Why false? Is there anything you can assert from this statement: "it wasn't uncommon for shepherds to have their flock out in winter." Even if it wasnt uncommon for sheperds to have their flock out in winter, Only morons would do such. Why you have to endure such harsh environment?
about Bart, i mention him since he is an agnostic(no bias) he knows greek, hebrew, etc you cant just ignore his opinions as well as Richard Dawkins(atheist) that cannot deny that jesus existed.
Erhman does a good job of criticising the NT but, he *IS* biased against the mythicist position in favor of a HJ w/o valid evidence. Dawkins is a biologist not a theologian. If you really think there's valid evidence then provide it and see how badly it falls apart. It doesn't take a Ph.D to notice the HJ is utter BS no matter who makes the claim theist or atheist.
@ronnryancelestial jesus also ordered his followers to bring him the deniers of his claims and slaughter them right in front on him. he was a psychopath if he was a real person.
So opinion divides into two camps: 'Jesus was a real person' and 'Jesus was a myth'. However, there is a third option that I think is more likely, i.e. The supernatural Jesus of modern day Christianity is a myth, BUT Jesus may have been a Jewish teacher of gnostic wisdom whose religion was adopted by the Greeks and most notably the Romans, who over time, probably with no guiding intent, added in all the pre-existent pagan supernatural attributes to create what we know today as Christianity.
Well this is it. Where is the credible evidence for the Jesus who MAY have been a Jewish teacher? Why did he not write or have someone write anything down? Why did none of the 40 or so writers/historians living during his time and geographical area never mention such a 'Jewish teacher'? Why was his story not reported until the 2nd century? Until such evidence comes to light, all is speculation. Jesus is a myth until proven otherwise. Burden of proof lies with 'the faithful'.
@spaceagebachelor do you doubt Lao Tsu exists or Confucius? there's an argument that they didn't but people wrote about him as a historical figure so we have as much reason to doubt their existence as James Madison. I'm an atheist and i don't argue that he completely didn't exist because there were thousands of desert preachers at that time spouting the same nonsense Jesus was. people through oral traditions and recitations just amplify things to the point of mythical status.
"Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets" - Acts 7:42, "And they shall spread them before the sun, and the moon, and all the host of heaven, whom they have loved, and whom they have served, and after whom they have walked, and whom they have sought, and whom they have worshipped: they shall not be gathered, nor be buried; they shall be for dung upon the face of the earth." - Jeremiah 8:2; Star worship is purely Pagan...
Genesis 2:5-6 "And every plant of the field before it was in the earth, and every herb of the field before it grew: for the LORD God had not caused it to rain upon the earth, and there was not a man to till the ground. But there went up a mist from the earth, and watered the whole face of the ground.",the earth did not have oceans, and was smaller before, lookup the "Expanding earth theory" ,hence the earth was not tilted, and there were no seasons before the flood, and no solstices or Equinoxes
Thus saith the LORD, Learn not the way of the heathen, and be not dismayed at the signs of heaven; for the heathen are dismayed at them. For the customs of the people are vain: for one cutteth a tree out of the forest, the work of the hands of the workman, with the axe. They deck it with silver and with gold; they fasten it with nails and with hammers, that it move not. They are upright as the palm tree, but speak not: they must needs be borne, because they cannot go. Jeremiah 10:2-5
I'm a Christian, and I celebrate Christmas. The fact that December 25th may, or may not be, Jesus' birthday is a poor excuse not to celebrate it. No one can know for sure what day his birth is on. Most of what we have to go by are guesses from scholars. The day doesn't matter, it's what we're celebrating that does. As a matter of fact, Christians should celebrate his birthday EVERYDAY, because when your days are up, He'll be the reason you go to Heaven!
@JustKimberly1992 ...and not to start a stupid "youtube war" on here, but the fact that there are other religions/beliefs that do some similar things to the Christian religion, doesn't make what we believe any less true. Satan's influence on man didn't stop with the forbidden fruit. He can worm his way into any and every country, continent, time period, age, etc. Satan copies God in every way, shape, and form. I've simply stated my opinion on this video, so no rude comments.
@JustKimberly1992 it is funny that all the thing that Jesus did was done before him by some other God! are did they just steal it from them! if they did it first then he must have just copy them! to say the the devil did it first is say that Jesus follows him by doing what he did! so he most be the devil! that's it he is the Devil! that is why he tells you that you can drink poison and live! that is something the devil would do and he would try and tell you that he is love! yes he's the devil!
@franktastikart You're not taking in to account that the comments you replied to have come from a Christian. I don't believe in anything before the Bible. So, therefore, I don't believe in any other God except that of the Bible, and the God of the Bible sent his only son (Him in human form) down to die on the cross for our sins. Anyone who says any different, in my opinion, has been influenced by Satan, who tries to confuse and keep people from the Truth.
@JustKimberly1992 your most likely to say to your self that i am just like the devil. trying to get you to eat from the tree of knowledge and wisdom. no your not going to do that, your stronger then that. bemuses you know that eating from the tree would mean abandoning your god and you would go to hell. you don't want that now do you. so you say no to knowledge and wisdom and walk away thinking that i am madman. that i am foolish and dumb for eating from the tree and gaining knowledge and wisdom
@franktastikart Adam and Eve ate from the tree of knowledge, which gave them knowledge of SIN. If anything, sin puts a veil over a person's face and they don't think or know anything, except what makes them seem happy. That's why the world is so messed up. I'm not saying anything about you. I don't even know you. I can't speak for you. Whatever your views are on God and The Bible are between YOU and HIM. They've got nothing to do with me. If you'd like to know more, feel free to ask. Sincerely.
@JustKimberly1992 sorry but the bible is just a book of tells! it is not the book of a god! there is no god! fact! jesus never exist! hes story is the story's of other gods! Buddha, Krishna, Odysseus, Romulus, Dionysus Heracles, Glycon, Zoroaster/Zarathustra, Attis of Phrygia, Horus. and you cant say they were the devil! Attis of Phrygia was considered the savior who was slain for the salvation of mankind.. Zoroaster baptized with water, fire and “holy wind. He cast out demons.
@JustKimberly1992 Krishna was born without a sexual union, by “mental transmission” from the mind of Vasudeva into the womb of Devaki, his mother. Christ and Krishna were called both God and the Son of God. Buddha Both went to their temples at the age of twelve, where they are said to have astonished all with their wisdom. Both supposedly fasted in solitude for long time:Both wandered to a fig tree at the conclusion of their fasts. Both same age when they began their public ministry.
@JustKimberly1992 Romulus is born of a vestal virgin, which was a priestess of the hearth god Vesta sworn to celibacy. His mother claims that the divine impregnated her, yet this is not believed by the King. Romulus and his twin brother, Remus, are tossed in the river and left for dead. (A “slaughter of the innocents” tale which parallels that of Matthew 2:13-16). Romulus is hailed as the son of god. He is “snatched away to heaven” by a whirlwind (It is assumed that the gods.
@JustKimberly1992 took him), and he makes post mortem appearances. In his work Numa Pompilius, Plutarch records that there was a darkness covering the earth before his death (Just as there was during Jesus’ death according to Mark 15:33). He also states that Romulus is to be know afterwards as ‘Quirinus’; A god which belonged to the Archiac Triad (a “triple deity” similar to the concept of the Trinity)
@JustKimberly1992 Dionysus born of a virgin December 25, as the Holy Child, was placed in a manger. traveling teacher, performed miracles. rode a triumphal procession on an ass. Dionysus rose from the dead on March 25. God of the Vine, turned water into wine. called King of Kings and God of Gods.was considered Only Begotten Son, Savior, Redeemer,Sin Bearer, Anointed One, Alpha Omega. identified with the Ram or Lamb. rificial title of Dendrites or Young Man of the Tree intimates he was crucified.
@JustKimberly1992 Glycon, the middle of the 100s AD, out along the south coast of the Black Sea, Glycon was the son of the God Apollo, who: came to Earth through a miraculous birth, was the Earthly manifestation of divinity, came to earth in fulfillment of divine prophecy, gave his chief believer the power of prophecy, gave believers the power to speak in tongues, performed miracles, healed the sick, and raised the dead.
@JustKimberly1992 you cant say they were the Devil they did good! their story make up Jesus story! it is from them his story comes! Jesus never existed! there is no God! and that is a fact!
@franktastikart I must remind you that I believe the Bible to be a record of the world's history , past, present, and future. To me other gods are just golden calves that idolaters worship for their own personal reasons. I see mention of false religions, such as those that you've brought up, to be just what The Lord says they are. False. Though they have many similarities they are mere copies of everything written in the Bible. As I can see your just trying to argue...look up (Matthew 7:6). Bye.
@JustKimberly1992 sorry but they were around before the bible! the bible is copy of other religions! not trying to argue, trying to educate you! you fallow a lie! Buddha was around long before Jesus was! and Hinduism is the oldest religion! fact! your bible is a lie! and Jesus never existed! and the thing they say that he said are lies! and i can prov that! fact!
@JustKimberly1992 Robert M. Price; Baptist minister, doctorates in both theology Drew University 1981, New Testament Drew 1993 professor of theology and scriptural studies at Coleman Theological Seminary, professor of biblical criticism the Center for Inquiry Institute, Jesus Seminar, a group of 150 scholars who study the historicity of Jesus, the organizer of a Web community for those interested in the history of Christianity.and sits on the advisory board of the Secular Student Alliance.
@JustKimberly1992 Robert McNair Price set out to prov that Jesus was a real person! but in the end he fund that Jesus did not exist! it shock his faith. he did not want it to come to that. but the truth is the truth! Jesus did not exist! fact! and if you were to do the looking you would see that it is true!
Yeshua (Jesus) became flesh and tabernacled ("dwelt") among us on the day of Tishri 15, the 1st day od the feast of Tabernacles. See Michael Rood's video titled Truth and Tradition for details on that.
A christian celebrating Christmas is like a man having an annivesary for his wife on the same day that he used to commit adultery aginst her! :-( Not cool.
I used to be a athiest! Anyways....I believe that all current professing athiest have all called, or will call on Jesus for forgivness. Wether they want to admit it or not!
You all are 'Heathens'! Jesus IS real! I saw him on a piece of toast on the news! You all will burn in hell... or is it a toaster?... anyway, GREAT VIDEO! LOL .... I love Acharya S's work... She is beautifully brilliant! ... Happy Holidays! ;)
I can't believe modern humans still buy all this religious garbage ,it is so obvious all man made bullshit from simpletons and so many still "believe" all this garbage!!!
The Jews were not called Jews in ancient time...they were called Hebrews..and they were not Monotheism...they were Henotheism..meaning picking One God from the many...this can be found in the Bible: Palsm 82 "God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgement", as well as Genesis 1:26.."Let us make man in our image, after our likeness....." Notice "us" and "our"...Astrology is a common theme in most of the modern day religions. Easter's SunRise Service!
Mithraism was blended with Christianity Thus, modern Christianity, mixed of it's original message into Mithraism More Pagan elements were added at the cnversion of the Pagan peoples This is how Christianity of today is predominately a Pagan faith.
"The further one regresses in time, the more obvious it becomes that the principal and singular religious worship found around the globe has revolved around nature. ... So fascinated by the sky, or heavens, has been man that he has created entire religions, with organized priesthoods, complex rituals and massive edifices, in order to tell its story."
it is true that the bible des not mention thatjesus was born upon that date. it is suppossed that it was in september, in the 6th century. however, this custom was adopted by the church at the 4th century, C.E.
However, the nicean council, which founded modern christianity. This, unfortunatley was presided over by the high priest of Mithras, Constantine, the Great. Constantine was a pagan; the Nicean Council was founded by members of the cult of Mithras and Christian clergy.
The Council of Nicea was the founding of modern Christianity.Constantine mixed together Mithraism and Christianity, blending the religions. This, in part, is why so many pagan elements exist withn Christianity. Similarities between Mithraism and Christianity are striking: Mithras was born December 25. He was the Son of God. he had 12 disciples, died upon a cross, lay 3 days in the tomb, and ressurrected on the third day as Savior of the World. Mithras died for their sins, that all might be forgiven.
Many sun gods of ancient Paganism (within the Northern Hemisphere) were born on December 25, died on a cross, resssurrected on the 3rd day.this is so much so that its often called the "solar myth."
We see below that most of these Pagan elements were incorporated during the Council of Nicea in 325 CE.. This again occurred at the Second Council of Constintinople in 552 C.E.But, many other Pagan elements were incorporated during the mass conversion of the Pagan world.
Mithraism also had a "Good God" (Ormuzd)and a "Bad God." (Ahriman). This Persian religion had God and the Devil, which battled over the souls men. There was war between good and evil. The soul either went to heaven or hell, because of Man's sin. Mithras was the Son of God (and a sun god) that was was born amongst men that we be saved. hw was born december 25, died for our sins as sacrifice to god, so we can be saved and not be punished for ever for our sin.
Acharya now has 4 books totaling 1,900 pages with 5,555 footnotes/citations to references & primary sources, utilizing over 1,442 bibliographical sources by respected authors/ publishers and peer-reviewed scholarly journals and dozens of illustrations.
"Christ in Egypt" alone contains 600 pages with nearly 2,400 footnotes/citations utilizing over 900 bibliographical sources.
There are plenty of things Jesus didn't say. He certainly didn't say anything about NOT celebrating his birthday so, why can't Christians figure out the date of his actual birth? Still, millions have celebrated his birthday on Dec 25th.
The birth of John the Baptist is detailed in Luke chapter 1. The Catholic Ency. claims that the CONCEPTION of John the Baptist was September 24th. The feast celebrating his birth, St. John's Day, is June 24th - 3 days after the summer solstice.
The bible says that Johns' conception was 6 months prior to Jesus'. This puts Jesus' birthday at Christmas.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Dis be jus so fine, yes it be. Wif all de suffrin and deaf in de worl now we needs mo shit lik dis to rob folks of de last shred o hope. Yep, dis achariot gal she be a real humannatarian.
all I'm saying is serious christians do not and have not held Dec.25th as the actual birthdate of Jesus...it just isn't relevant to christians...critical to christians is not the when? but the who? of christianity! that is of supreme importance...then,and now! If he always existed and like us always will...we all need to ask ourselves who are we? and who do we belong to? where are we going? etc. If he is ficticious-what then are our options? We must choose...let's choose wisely!
@mikesglider well its not just christmas and easter that christianity borrowed from pagansism its also the whole story of jesus himself. the savior god with 12 disciples, born of a virgin, sacrficed etc. stolen fron the mystery cults. christianity was started to control teh masses. chose wisely? faith is not gonna aswer teh questions of who we are and where we are going. the bible has been so wrong about this world why should we trust it about the next one? and to imply choose wisely or else?
get real...true christians don't believe in Dec.25th as the birthday of Jesus..nor do they need to take responsibility for the sins of others who pervert truth! It's dishosest or stupid (or both) to judge all christians by the evil acts of criminals!it's like a false flag op! "you will know them by their fruits"!you can't blame all atheists with the crimes of Stalin,Hitler,Pol pot etc. either! judge wisely!truth is honest...too many obvious lies here for credibility in my view...seek truth!
I can name two. How about winter solstice never occurs on the 25th of dec, ever, and the feast of illumination absolutely does not celebrate the "birth of yahweh" Yahweh actually means I Am and therefore has existed since before time according to the Pentateuch that both Christians and Jews believe in. Thus, Yahweh cannot have a "birth"
Also "proving" winter solstice worship and the supposed birth of Christ on that day does nothing except prove the roman catholic church was trying to eliminate pagan rituals by proclaiming them as Christian holy days=holidays. Same thing with Easter and Halloween, or All Hallow's Eve. These invented, traditional holidays don't dispute the fact that what the Bible says is true nor denies the life of Christ, his teachings, death and bodily resurrection.
Amen to that...If us pagans would take back everything the Christians stole from us, they would have nothing left. No Christmas, no Easter, no virgin birth, no resurrection, no Christ, just a bunch of rules sanctioned the mass murdering Constantine. They could worship Constantine. He gave them the Sunday Sabbath anyway(also pagan). It would be perfect. Christians aren't supposed to be thieves anyway. They should just back off from what is rightfully ours.
Okay. We all know the deal about Dec 25th. It's a man-made convention, what's the point? You people cling desperately to the notion that the actions of man either prove or disprove the existence of God. Bush says he's a Christian, but he's evil; that only proves that he is a liar.
The next time a cop tazes someone to death, why don't you post a video disproving the existence of the law. Shout for the removal of the law enforcement institution.
The date was chosen by the RCC--quite possibly the beast of Revelation; not just the date but everything was taken from paganism, and they admit as such. Many Christian denominations denounced the practice as blasphemy even into the 18th century.
which is why it is my assertion that, at the very least, todays organized christians, catholics, etc are practicing pagan tradition if not a pagan religion altogether
Ive heard some Christians (internet and person) mention Sept, Oct or even Nov being the birth of Jesus. Apparently Christians use Dec25 as it was popular day, in simple terms. lol.
It seems that Easter use 2 b the main celebration but eventually (even today) it's Christmas, etc. It seems to me that Christians in early years didn't celebrate the birth of jesus because theres no claims of his birth.
Can u provide links/sources to this strong evidence, that would be appreciated.
@PrinceWalter But, jesus wasn't born in September because he was never born period. The new testament is the account of the current god saviour man created by those people living at that time drawing from the same myths that were popular in the region then. We can't know what it was like living 2,000+ years ago, and in their minds they needed something to believe in. Today we have science to explain the things they just called God, and so god on earth = jesus. One of many godmen of the day.
Your statement is actually incorrect. Secular sources prove the existence of Jesus. The only thing of question is the works He did during His life, but His actual existence is confirmed by multiple scholarly accounts and historical records. So to say He was never born is not only wrong and misleading, but makes you sound like an idiot.
That's false. There is zero true historical evidence, and any "scholar" claiming such is a liar. This is false information so please anyone reading this comment - go do your research.
Very true Sgreeny129. Amun was associated with Ra in later Egyptian history to become Amun-Ra, Amun-Ra was the sun while is was not seen, thus Amun-Ra is the sun at nighttime.
oh and Horus was conceived under the Star of Siris not born under the star of siris. Jesus was born under the star of Siris not conceived. Another bit of history lesson there. Feel free to look it up.
Wanted to add one more thing, Amenhotep the 3rd never claimed to be the son of the god of fertility "Amun", He instead fully claimed to be the son of King Thutmose the 4th. He only cliamed that Amun was pleased with his birth Thus is why his name was AmenHotep ( which means Amun is pleased) instead of "son of Amun".
Now the "marriage of the gods" in the birth chamber part of the temple of man in luxor, Egypt was created by Amenhotep iii the 9th king of the 18th dynasty. Amenhotep means "Amun is satisfied". Ruled 1391 bc - 1353 bc. Was the father of king Tut. Amenhotep iii created the mural to show the world that the gods was pleased with his birth. I do not know how it became Horus and Isis etc. look it up.
Selkhet is also the Goddess of scorpions and protection during childbirth ( she is directly under Mutemwiya). Neith represented fertility and the protector of the royal house. She was seen under Amun. Amun is sometiems seen as a bull to represent fertility.
Queen Mutemwiya was depicted in temple of man aka luxor temple in Luxor, Egypt (Marriage to the gods).
Mutemwiya was mother of Amenhotep the 3rd and wife of King Thutmose the 4th in 18th dynasty. She is seen sitting with the 3 fertility deities. Amun tells her that her son will be a great king. Selkhet (wife of Ra) was also seen in the picture, Selkhet is the protector of marriage and fertility.
Geb and Nut was created first on earth after Atum coughed and spat them out as he stood upon the Ben-Ben stone,The twins Shu and Tefnut was then born (Ra the sun god seperated the twins), Their first born was named Osirius, Osirius had Horus. So Horus was NOT the sun god RA. nice little history lesson there. Look it up.
its the birth of the sun thats it, its not a religion, a celestrial alignment lasting 21500 years or somthing. religion is to control with fear a illuminati tool. to keep mankind inline.
wow wicked video, Kinder can relate some of this to freemasons work, well they are light works The god Baal, etc.. Wicked Not sure if the illumnati use this for light, more for the dark, mankind is waking up
Where does Israel get its name? Think about it. Isis - Ra - El .... Sun Gods.
The Jews left Egypt and brought their knowledge of these sun Gods with them. From these myths among many others they formed the basis for the Hebrew texts. The point is ... its a story that is told over and over again and Jesus is just another in the line.
He is in no way unique. He is just a sun god in a long line of sun gods. He never existed. He is a myth.
Well this is true. Another video idea is. Why the Christians are in denial that they killed millions of Native Indians, and made African's slaves (Why they forgot where they got the ideas from) killing in the name of GOD.
Jesus is a farce yes ...But Jews celebrate the birth of their G-D ..what kind of Krock is that?? G-d doesnt have a Birthday..was she on drugs when she wrote that ??
The similarity with the winter soltice-fests around the world is striking, but in all fairness: Concerning Mithra, at least, Mithraism stole as much from Christianity as the other way around. However, the parts here relevant, are the parts that are portrayed in the Gospels, for instance the story of the "birth in the stable", which is also known in other cultures, preceding christianity. And that, for one, is ...interesting.
Wow! Christianty must be a false religion because christian holidays coincide with pagan ones? Check your facts! Christians used pagan holidays to convert pagans to Christianity! The references to the virgin Mary as "the queen of Heaven" also served this purpose. Christians cleverly used pagan beliefs to win non-believers to Christ. Similarities with pagan gods and goddesses were exaggerated to convert them.
So does that make Christianity any more trustworthy or 'true'? I'm confused exactly how that is supposed to support the christian version of theism any more than this video does.
Do not let the silly intro disuade you. This is a fantastic explanation of the various universal myths that make up the basis of Christianity. I knew of some things in the video beforehand, but this shows aspects of astronomy in religion that sheds a whole new light on things.
Santa Claus is actually a jumbling up of three people:Saint Nicholas,Odin and Sinter Klaus. It is all a hoax by the Roman Catholic Church to mess with our minds.

@SanguineBullet667 Does anyone in his sound state of mind would brought his flock in the field on winter? Even intelligent atheists and agnostic SCHOLARS are laughing their asses out while reading acharya's books about christ.

@ronnryancelestial it's nonsense to say that he was born in winter and you would have to be a complete moron to think so.

Hercules2345 3 months ago
@Hercules2345 yes, because christianity originated as another sun worshipping cult, one of the many around at the time of it's origination. the christian scholars who composed the bible, however, made many mentions of the flocks and how they were raised throughout the year. these little facts show that the mythical man couldn't possible be born in the winter even though the original authors of the myth (pseudo sun worshippers) intended it to be so. it's one of the many contradictions inthe bible

@ronnryancelestial LOL, actually scholars agree with her. Even Jewish scholars admit that it's not uncommon to have their flock out in winter.

@ronnryancelestial "Why false?" Seriously?, already explained above.
Erhman does a good job of criticising the NT but, he *IS* biased against the mythicist position in favor of a HJ w/o valid evidence. Dawkins is a biologist not a theologian.
MrRouXRenard 1 year ago 3
@MrRouXRenard

Anyone who says any different, in my opinion, has been influenced by Satan, who tries to confuse and keep people from the Truth.

it is true that the bible des not mention thatjesus was born upon that date. it is suppossed that it was in september, in the 6th century. however, this custom was adopted by the church at the 4th century, C.E.
However, the nicean council, which founded modern christianity. This, unfortunatley was presided over by the high priest of Mithras, Constantine, the Great. Constantine was a pagan; the Nicean Council was founded by members of the cult of Mithras and Christian clergy.
taliesin939939 3 years ago
The Council of Nicea was the founding of modern Christianity.Constantine mixed together Mithraism and Christianity, blending the religions. This, in part, is why so many pagan elements exist withn Christianity. Similarities between Mithraism and Christianity are striking: Mithras was born December 25. He was the Son of God. he had 12 disciples, died upon a cross, lay 3 days in the tomb, and ressurrected on the third day as Savior of the World. Mithras died for their sins, that all might be forgiven.
taliesin939939 3 years ago
Many sun gods of ancient Paganism (within the Northern Hemisphere) were born on December 25, died on a cross, resssurrected on the 3rd day.this is so much so that its often called the "solar myth."
We see below that most of these Pagan elements were incorporated during the Council of Nicea in 325 CE.. This again occurred at the Second Council of Constintinople in 552 C.E.But, many other Pagan elements were incorporated during the mass conversion of the Pagan world.
taliesin939939 3 years ago
Mithraism also had a "Good God" (Ormuzd)and a "Bad God." (Ahriman). This Persian religion had God and the Devil, which battled over the souls men. There was war between good and evil. The soul either went to heaven or hell, because of Man's sin. Mithras was the Son of God (and a sun god) that was was born amongst men that we be saved. hw was born december 25, died for our sins as sacrifice to god, so we can be saved and not be punished for ever for our sin.

John 3:30 "He must increase, but I must decrease"

all I'm saying is serious christians do not and have not held Dec.25th as the actual birthdate of Jesus...it just isn't relevant to christians...critical to christians is not the when? but the who? of christianity! that is of supreme importance...then,and now! If he always existed and like us always will...we all need to ask ourselves who are we? and who do we belong to? where are we going? etc. If he is ficticious-what then are our options? We must choose...let's choose wisely!

Thus, Yahweh cannot have a "birth"
ijones32 3 years ago
Also "proving" winter solstice worship and the supposed birth of Christ on that day does nothing except prove the roman catholic church was trying to eliminate pagan rituals by proclaiming them as Christian holy days=holidays. Same thing with Easter and Halloween, or All Hallow's Eve. These invented, traditional holidays don't dispute the fact that what the Bible says is true nor denies the life of Christ, his teachings, death and bodily resurrection.

It's time for Christians to get their Christ out of our Winter Solstice!
Hercules2345 3 years ago

The date was chosen by the RCC--quite possibly the beast of Revelation; not just the date but everything was taken from paganism, and they admit as such. Many Christian denominations denounced the practice as blasphemy even into the 18th century.
TheSystem11 3 years ago
which is why it is my assertion that, at the very least, todays organized christians, catholics, etc are practicing pagan tradition if not a pagan religion altogether

Many Christians, including myself, believe that Jesus was born in September, and there is strong evidence for this.
Therefore, much of this argument would be completely irrelevant to us.
PrinceWalter 4 years ago

@backpacker316

Amun is sometiems seen as a bull to represent fertility.
sgreeny129 4 years ago 2

He is a myth.

smartz100 I love the Rudolf comment.lol
Well this is true. Another video idea is. Why the Christians are in denial that they killed millions of Native Indians, and made African's slaves (Why they forgot where they got the ideas from) killing in the name of GOD.

J21965 4 years ago
So does that make Christianity any more trustworthy or 'true'? I'm confused exactly how that is supposed to support the christian version of theism any more than this video does.

Socrates said the unexamined life is not worth living for a human being, but for Christians the unexamined life is the only one available.

Do not let the silly intro disuade you. This is a fantastic explanation of the various universal myths that make up the basis of Christianity. I knew of some things in the video beforehand, but this shows aspects of astronomy in religion that sheds a whole new light on things.
