I have an 2007 Nitemare also. Great videos BTW. My truck has spent a lot of time at the track. It is bone stock and I have run a best of 13.57. I run it at two tracks. Won 1st place at a Mustang event and two 2nd places at other tracks. The truck has earned a heck of reputation here in San Diego area. We should all keep in contact.
Don't have any mods other then some lights window tint etc. The 13.57 is based on my 1/8 mile times. I have already had the motor replaced under warranty, so I haven't done any engine mods. 1 more year of warr. left. But I do plan some suspension mods which I think will get me into the 12's.
Im from south FL, yah i have traction control on my truck and for some reason can't find anyone that is able turn it off. I have even takin back to the roush dealer that i purchased it from. I'm running a 14 flat with street tires. The only modes i have done are a Troyer Tune which did almost nothing for my 1/4 time. I'm goin soon to get a dyno tune. I also have a spintech race exhaust, no headers yet. Wut have u done to yours?
Wow, nice truck man. I got a Roush Nitemare also and I love it. Have you had any problems with traction control on yours? I also got a troyer tune and ran almost the same 1/4 not really happy with it, but it wasnt a dyno tune witch i wish i could have got done instead. Nice pass tho
yes i had no traction at all and i was running 13.6-13.7 but then i bought M/T drag radials AND ran a 13.2 hitting rev limiter. what has been your best 1/4 run? what r your mods? you might be running just as fast with less mods than me... since we are running in different tracks... elevation, temp is different
No, I have not yet plan too, just to see what she will do I hope to break into 13's, I am a Supercrew 4wd, But MattFX4 has got the best Roush and upgrad I have seen on here. He to is a Supercrew and 4wd and his shits and gets. If his truck weighed as much as yours he would probably get into the 12s, When I got my tunes done I thought about Going with a 4lb lower but I would have need to probably have my fuel upgraded to do it right, once you get above 400rwhp, you need to consider this upgrade!!
it depends what track your running at... matt might run faster-slower where i run my truck same for me i might run faster-slower where he runs, do to the different elavation, weather, temp.
I started with 323 and 373 with roush tune, now off The Troyer tune I am at 375 and 445 that was in 95 degree wheather too. The Truck runs like a new vehcile and boost comes on better more power though out , NO MORE THROTTLE LAG EITHER
troyer is good, but theres this other ford single cab with the saleen supercharger who runs at the same track i do...doing 430-435rwhp with a troyer custom tune and his best time has been a 13.5 im doing 408rwhp with a best time of 13.2 hitting rev limiter so troyers tune isnt that great im running faster times with less HP, i know jdm is well know for tuning fords. have you taken your truck to the track?
i would like to put a blower on my 05 step side 5.4. I have done lots of work to it, custom grind 0.540" lift cams at 222/228 duration, cam phaser limiters, beehive springs and retainers, ported heads, ford racing headers, 3000 stall tq converter, 4.10 gears, roush suspension and wheels, IMRC delete plates and more.. 301rwhp @ 5250 and 320 rwtq @ 4300 all motor right now, as soon as i get a custom built intake manifold, i will be at 345 rwhp and 360 rwtq and have shift points at near 7000 rpm.
your making some nice power... what are your best 1/4mile times? 7,000rpm's is too high for shift points i have mine at 6000 rev limit and it shifts at around 5,600-5650 rppms
I am not running stock cams, they build power past 5300 and keeps the power till 6700 before it starts to fall off, so if i shift that high, may fall back gear will be where i begin making big power. Plus if it can pull that high of speed, I can stay in each gear longer equaling faster times. BUT..I need my new short runner intake manifold installed to do this. Comp cams ran simulators and gave me the info i just wrote. I will go to the track when i install it. 1/8 mile 9.44 @ 72.3 60ft @ 1.82
I put my truck on dragtimes web site. search 2005 F150, you will see me there. I have a copy of the current dyno numbers, you can see there weird power curve due to the air restriction in the intake manifold because the runners are too long for the cams i am running.
You Should check out Troyer Performance, He did mine Roush F150, Love the work , give them a call, Out of the 6000+ roush blowers out there he has done easily over half in retuning and the man KNOWS his fords. He new what version of tune roush had installed and did my twin electric fans. After you talk with him you will be happy and see why most ppl go with him
i got it tuned by diagnostic specialist, its not a great tune they only got me about 8-10hp out of the tune, ill be retuning it soon by jdm or psi, im doing about 408rwhp with the cheap tune

Ahhhhh, if it is an 07 Nitemare, they did not come with Traction Control. Maybe someone added it. Sure you aren't thinking of ABS?

RoushNitemare 2 years ago
