  • What does is Ghz

  • Can you please do a video with your imac, macbook pro and macbook air starting up apps?

  • wow That's fast 0.0

  • And my asus can boot and load 50 applications in under a minute. But it does have one of the fastest SSDs ever made, but i bet you payed over 2200 for this piece of shit mac.

  • macbooks only go up to 2.8ghz...someone care to explain?

  • @gofightlose This was made a year and a half ago, when the 2009 model had an upgrade option to 3.06Ghz.

  • ha thats cool and everything, but I cant imagine anyone needing to open 25 apps at once lol

  • Chek my vids :) ALL MAC APPLICATIONS FREEE TOTALY FREE

  • Naic

  • that was super fast

  • OMG!

  • my MacBook:15" 2.66 GHz Intel Core I7, Memory 4GB with 500GB 7200RPM HDD and NVIDIA GeForce GT 330M and loving it.

  • BS, you had the apps openned before the test.

  • @giorgios16 If you had ever used a mac before you would know that they weren't. If an application is not visible in the dock then it is definitely not open. And anyway, I would be surprised if an equally powerful PC running windows or some other OS couldn't do that in a similar amount of time.

  • which macbook pro 13, 15 or 17 inch???

  • Are you using SSD, because it seems like you are.

  • @Augurae no HDD 7200 RPM

  • This laptop is now old. The new i7 MBP will open the same number of applications twice as fast

  • @theabominable Yep that would be very fast.

  • @gmanist1000 not that fast, lets be real

  • @theabominable too bad the Core i7 MBPs are dual core instead of quad core

  • @theabominable I have had i7 for about 4 months now. It sure is fast! I built my own. 12 GB ram and 1000 GB hardrive. I like it but I wanna buy a mac now

  • my moms laptop would blow up if i did that

  • good old macs

  • I wish my computer could just open 1 application without dying.

  • thats incredible,

  • if you did that on a PC. it would have exploded

  • @Evilbro1800 HAHAHAHHA !!!! its so true!

  • @Evilbro1800 ha, not really, I have a mac and I love it but I can open up that many apps on my dell studio xps 16 without any problems.

  • @Evilbro1800 my pc with windows 7 isnt actually that far off, impressive though

  • @Evilbro1800

Haha yup I once had a PC and opened 8 apps and it crashed!

  • pretty cool, definitely faster than my macbook pro.... mine is late 2008 model. Weird thing is is that I bought in in January last year... AND I'M STILL USING IT AS MY MAIN COMPUTER. I'll probably get 2 years out it before I give it to someone else and upgrade. I haven't had a computer for more than a year before without either getting a new one or (if it is was a desktop then upgrading the cpu)....

  • nice, just nice.

  • @gmanist1000

    Awesome!

I can't imagine how fast it would be with 8gb of ddr3 ram 3.06 Ghz, 256 solid state hdd hard drive, and snow leapord! any idea?

  • woah wtf it takes muh cpu 1minute to open an application if i opened that many muh cpu would be gone its a netbook so yea

  • well at the apple store and best buy, u cant just pick up a 3.06GHz, 8 GB of ram, with a 500 GB hard drive. it has to be special ordered. but it doesn't say anywhere how much that upgrade is. i would love to know how much that upgrade would cost. do u know?

  • not sure what happened. anyways.

could you tell me what a 3.06GHz, 8 GB, 500GB upgrade would be on the 15 & 13 inch?

    thanks man.

  • thats was freaking awesome! best video ever! say can u tell me what a 3.06GH

  • MacBook. 2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 2GB DDR3 memory - 250GB hard drive - 8x double-layer SuperDrive - NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics - Built-in 7-hour battery - Polycarbonate unibody enclosure..... is tht any good for games???

  • arriving tommorow:

    3.06ghz processor

    17 inch screen @ 1920x1200

    8gb RAM

    Nvidia 9600m GT graphics

    CAN'T WAIT!!! LOL

  • will the 17 be able to this even faster then this?

what is the difference from 4GB to the 8GB?

  • got it. :). 8GB twice as fast (obviously) but the screen size makes no difference in performance, just max resolution.

  • can u tell me how much the 3.06GHz, 8 GB, 500 GB upgrade will cost?

  • I got mine in total for £2,666 but thats in GBP. I dont know what it is in dollars. If you want to look, got to apple website, select macbook pro and select what screen size and processor you want. Then there should be a list of available upgrades and prices.

    Hope this helps

  • ok thanks

  • Try it with heavier apps, next time you do such a test .. Like, all apps from the Adobe CS - Would be a much better test :)

I'm looking to buy the high-end MacBook Pro with full specs, once it comes with the i7 processor. :)

  • okay i going to buy a mac...

  • good man ;)

  • i7 @ 4.5 ghz, 12GB ddr3 @ 2200mhz, 3 ssd in raid 0, hd5970 in oc mode. with 3 monitors for the same price. That will beat any macbook or imac. so what's big deal ?

  • try to do this on windows...hahahah

  • hahahah try and pray lol

  • yeah i can really see why you would want to do that! money well spent my friend! :|

  • It does it faster on snow leapord......... next is Rhino

  • or it could be "snow OH MY GOD ITS COMING TOWARDS US!!!" LOL

  • guys does anyone know if macbook pro is coming out with i7 for their top of the line 15' and 17' notebooks???

  • ya, i wish they did, maybe we might have a chance in 2010, i would so get it! i have been waiting for an apple quad core laptop for so long!

  • i hope in the baseline 15 inch

  • whatever anyone says. Im a pc user... But Mac is really blowing up more... and the os is better and lighter, even tho it cashed in RAM... on windows it would take much much more longer to open same kind of apps!!

BTW you ppl gotta stop arguing with windows vs mac war... its matter of preference! Use what you like!

I owned a mac and It was simple no error no viruses, then I sold it and bought a faster pc, but I got ton of bs from it, driver problems, lag, constant errors, risk of viruses

  • wtf

  • how do you select all of them at once

  • control + A

  • get the 8GB RAM upgrade.. max out the motherfucker

  • so glad i just bought my first mac

  • dam that fast

  • wait can you re upload it....i blinked and missed it

    =P

  • haha agreed

  • SWEET VID MAN! in like 4 days i get this shit in my new macpro 17" Spesifikasjoner * 3.06GHz Intel Core 2 Duo * 8GB 1066MHz DDR3 SDRAM - 2X4GB * 500 GB Serial ATA-harddisk (7200 rpm) * SuperDrive 8x (DVD±R DL/DVD±RW/CD-RW) * MacBook Pro 17-inch Hi-Resolution Antiglare Widescreen Display * Backlit Keyboard * Final Cut

  • Fast, but I can tell this is not a used computer - the iTunes library had nothing in it and iPhoto was empty, also iMovie too.

  • stop at 0:42 you can see there are definitely songs in iTunes. 437 items 1.79GB

  • what a desperate attempt of a windows fanboy xD

  • some people don't use itunes, or like me I use my crappy dell for frostwire and itunes. Also iPhoto is suppose to be empty it always is when you re-open it. iMovie maybe he uses final cut express

  • holy... S#1T , damn it... so fasttTTTTTTttt

  • Holy crap!

  • Ex mac user turn pc thonking of goin mac again...!?!?

  • you can't compare this this TO THE SHIT CALLED "Microsoft" apple for life.

  • Win.

  • omg thats amazing! the icons on the dock are jumping funny!

  • mac e' mac !!!!buttate windows io l'ho gia' fatto!!

  • Awesome I'm gonna try it on my 13,3 inch macbook pro :)

  • is the 7200 rpm HD noisy?

  • dangg, that's fast!

can't wait to get my macbook pro in a year :D

  • dam thats fast

  • That was fast , but they were all pretty light Apps except for iMovie and Garage Band.

  • Very fast man

  • Yeah, that was fast! In most "Opening XX Apps at once" videos it isn't that fast, except it is an SSD..

  • Thanks, thats great, I'm definally buying this Mac, I have made up my mind :)

Do you think there will be a difference between 2.8GHz and 3.06GHz? because as you have said that it isn't upgradable after purchase and $300 is a lot of money, so it's what frustrates me right now.

    ~Terry~

  • you shouldn't need it. honestly 2.8 is very good. just get a 7200 rpm hdd if you really need to.

  • Ok thanks, is the main difference between 5400 rpm and 7200 rpm hdd the speed? sorry I just want to make a great purchase because it will last a long time :)

    ~Terry~

  • Yes, the 5400 RPM is 5,400 Revolutions Per Minutes. the 7200 RPM is 7,200 Revolutions Per Minute. It is the number of full rotations completed in one minute.

So you can tell that the 7200 RPM is has 1800 more Revolutions Per minute than the 5400

  • what were you using to record?

  • screenflow

  • kool video lol good job that thing is fast

  • cool
