Yes I too was in High school with Lenny and his brother Ross (the coolest guy in school) I dated dated Petes sister Sylvia for a short time. We were all very young!!! I hope shes doing well. The Almans were playing around Daytona. I was working at the Rats Hole on main St
Richard Green!! They called me Pee Wee Im 61 living near Brownsville Tx now!!! I call it North Mexico!!!!
what a wonderful old song. i'm 39 years old and not even sure when this came out. but the lyrics popped into my head tonight and i googled to find out it was this song. i wish there was still this sincere, lovely ballad music out there today. i must be gittin' old! ;)
Wow 33 years ago, Doesnt seem possible..Now we are Facebook Friends....Pete came over my house one time when I lived on Seagrave st. In Daytona Beach..I was a drummer at the time and a few of us jammed..He was so ahead of his time...Lenny has done wonderful in the Gospel world....Proud of our hometown boys
Lenny's the bearded one, right? Is Pete actually singin' the high harmony, or, is it acutally Lenny. Please let me know. They hit #13 in Billboard, 4-1-78. God bless ya, Pete, for postin' it. Thanx!
I was a kid when this came out but always loved it. I have been looking all over the place for this song! I couldn't remember much except for the chorus! Been driving me crazy!
Wished I had been old enough to have experienced the Muscle Shoals music scene in its heydey. There are clubs to go see some pretty good bands in the area now. Back then the people came, made some of the best music of all time and there wasn't anywhere to play back then. Thanks to all who came and left us with such great music as this.
Correction to my prior post. I said Lenny posted this and of course I meant Pete. One of my all-time favorite songs and this video is a real treasure. So I must give credit where credit is due. Thank you Pete for not only your music but for making a dream of mine come true by posting this video.
This is one of the best songs to come out of the 1970s. I hope that Lenny LeBlanc and Pete Carr realize that. It touched a lot of us because of its "soft rock" quality, resembling the music of Bread as well.
Hello Pete I met you at Te Fizz a few years ago. This is of my favorite songs of all time. I started an Hourglass Fan Page on Facebook a few months ago.
What beautiful song. It takes me back 30 years to a more innocent and carefree time of my life. Thank you and Lenny for creating one of the best songs of the 1970's and posting it for all of us to enjoy.
To PeteCarr: Hi, Pete, I was just wonderin' if Lenny'd ever witnessed to you about Jesus, and if so, have you accepted Him as Lord & Savior? That'd be great if you did, 'cause you'd be assured of goin' to Heaven. Please let me know, so I can rejoice with you, if you're in fact, a fellow Christian! God bless! Dave Wollenberg, Wheaton, IL
Leblanc & Carr 2 amazing songwriters. Just shows you how timeless a truely well written song can be to be still talking about it so many years later. Heard it in the supermarket today actually prompted me to look it up on You Tube. I am also a singer songwriter and can appriciate a great melody and well blended vocals. I grew up on this kinda stuff... Thanks for posting this Pete!!
Awesome ..excellent..incredible I don't know if this is the real ..original Pete Carr but if it is I knew you when you were in Jr High ..I was a friend of Ross Leblanc and grew up in Daytona Beach ..Tom Ruger was a good friend too. Thanks for the memories
@PeteCarr1 ...WoW, how cool is THAT? I just absolutely love this song, and it takes mr right back to high school...........turning 50 this year....and this song makes me feel 16 again....thank you...LOVE YOU!

Lenny played in a band in the Cincinnati area from about 1969 to 1972, Whalefeathers, saw him plenty of times with the group

I am so glad Lenny now does worship music. I put him together with Charlie LeBlanc (no known relation), who was my worship pastor.
