  • what a wonderful old song. i'm 39 years old and not even sure when this came out. but the lyrics popped into my head tonight and i googled to find out it was this song. i wish there was still this sincere, lovely ballad music out there today. i must be gittin' old! ;)

  • Wow 33 years ago, Doesnt seem possible..Now we are Facebook Friends....Pete came over my house one time when I lived on Seagrave st. In Daytona Beach..I was a drummer at the time and a few of us jammed..He was so ahead of his time...Lenny has done wonderful in the Gospel world....Proud of our hometown boys

  • Lenny's the bearded one, right? Is Pete actually singin' the high harmony, or, is it acutally Lenny. Please let me know. They hit #13 in Billboard, 4-1-78. God bless ya, Pete, for postin' it. Thanx!

  • In this video Pete Carr looks like and reminds me of Paul Mccartney. Love this song.

  • I loved this song when I was a kid and still do. Thanks for the posting.

  • OMG! I'm stunned...love this song; can't believe Pete Carr actually posted this clip! Sweet! I'm really surprised you guys didn't have more "hits"...fabulous vocals, lyrics, & HARMONIES! Thanks...

  • What a fantastic, sweet song...We don't get artistry like this..anymore

  • I was a kid when this came out but always loved it. I have been looking all over the place for this song! I couldn't remember much except for the chorus! Been driving me crazy!

  • Wished I had been old enough to have experienced the Muscle Shoals music scene in its heydey. There are clubs to go see some pretty good bands in the area now. Back then the people came, made some of the best music of all time and there wasn't anywhere to play back then. Thanks to all who came and left us with such great music as this.

  • @hvymtlu

  • Pete, your voice makes this song! I so remember this song in my senior year in high school. Brings back great memories!

  • I really love this song. Thanks so much for posting it. This song never grows old.

  • Correction to my prior post. I said Lenny posted this and of course I meant Pete. One of my all-time favorite songs and this video is a real treasure. So I must give credit where credit is due. Thank you Pete for not only your music but for making a dream of mine come true by posting this video.

  • I love you PETE~~~~ No one can play like you~~

  • i really love this song! thanks for posting...

  • This is one of the best songs to come out of the 1970s. I hope that Lenny LeBlanc and Pete Carr realize that. It touched a lot of us because of its "soft rock" quality, resembling the music of Bread as well.

  • Omg, this is such a beautiful song, and takes me right back to high school.....Love Pete Carr, where is he now?

  • Hit #11 AC, #13 pop in Billboard. Top 40 1 hit wonder. God bless Lenny at least!

  • Hello Pete I met you at Te Fizz a few years ago. This is of my favorite songs of all time. I started an Hourglass Fan Page on Facebook a few months ago.

  • @shyman99

Lenny didn't post it. Pete Carr guitar did..

  • Kudos to you, Pete!

This is one of the best soft Rock songs of the 70s.

I was still a kid back then, but I already knew it was a

    great song!

  • Thanks for the posting. Great and beautiful song. Excellent harmony and production by you Pete, and a great job by Lenny on lead vocal!

  • What beautiful song. It takes me back 30 years to a more innocent and carefree time of my life. Thank you and Lenny for creating one of the best songs of the 1970's and posting it for all of us to enjoy.

  • To PeteCarr: Hi, Pete, I was just wonderin' if Lenny'd ever witnessed to you about Jesus, and if so, have you accepted Him as Lord & Savior? That'd be great if you did, 'cause you'd be assured of goin' to Heaven. Please let me know, so I can rejoice with you, if you're in fact, a fellow Christian! God bless! Dave Wollenberg, Wheaton, IL

  • Is Lenny the bearded 1? That'd make Pete the high harmony singer. Anyway, it made #13 pop in Billboard. Let me know, thanx!

  • Man. A junior in HS sittinn' in my girlfriends green Cutlass. Cold as hell. Didnt matter.

  • Leblanc & Carr 2 amazing songwriters. Just shows you how timeless a truely well written song can be to be still talking about it so many years later. Heard it in the supermarket today actually prompted me to look it up on You Tube. I am also a singer songwriter and can appriciate a great melody and well blended vocals. I grew up on this kinda stuff... Thanks for posting this Pete!!

  • Lenny played in a band in the Cincinnati area from about 1969 to 1972, Whalefeathers, saw him plenty of times with the group

  • I am so glad Lenny now does worship music. I put him together with Charlie LeBlanc (no known relation), who was my worship pastor.

  • And instantly, I'm 17 again. :)

  • Definitely my favorite love song of all time. (not counting deh vieni alla finestra)

  • In my all-time top ten.

  • Sorry to intrued but just saw you on facebook as a friend of Allen Dresser ..

  • Awesome ..excellent..incredible I don't know if this is the real ..original Pete Carr but if it is I knew you when you were in Jr High ..I was a friend of Ross Leblanc and grew up in Daytona Beach ..Tom Ruger was a good friend too. Thanks for the memories

  • Yes, I'm the Pete Carr who grew up in the Daytona Beach area. (Port Orange acyually) Glad to hear from a home town boy! Thanks... PC
