.cont....i called adj and they asked how many times i have used this, told them at least 1-2x wk since i purchased it,they told me that i used it to many times and the pump needs to be repaired. then i called again at a different time and told them i havnt used it,nd they said i need to change the pump cause it hasnt been used, said i needed to turn on the unit at least 2x a month,i spent almost 500$ nd not to satisfied with the unit, got this mainly to not have the heavy smoke look at my gigs
i picked this up over a yr ago and thought it would help my rig out. the haze it generates is very light. i have to shine a led light under the lip where it comes out from just so i can see the haze. in ur video u can see the haze pretty good. i took it back to the store i got it from thinking it is just a bad unit, and they called up adj and confirmed the smoke being very very light... question is, r u running into the same problem?
Hey Brian, good video. I've been looking at hazers recently. They are pretty sparse. I've checked around and there are slim pickings. I found a Chauvet for around $250, another Chauvet for $700, an Elation for $290, and an Antari for $700. Can it be that there are only 4 hazers out there. Are they less popular now? Let me know what you think. Thanks man...
hey im on a budget and im looking for something either fog or haze in the price range of $100-150 im not sure how much haze machines cost but if anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated
the only problem I have with hazers is if the room your in has a good ventilation system you get nothing out of the hazer. did a setup for a show a couple nights ago in a 500 seat auditorium and we rented a hazer. completly useless. the room was too big for it and the barely got anything (even though the hazer was right next to them) it took three hours before we saw anything and by then the show was almost over. anyways, still like it. peace.
i just bought one last week, and my haze smoke isnt as thick as in the video...i can see the smoke coming out of the machine in the video, and mine i can only see in the air after a while....could it be a faulty generator or is it supposed to be really really really light......in a small living room(15x10x13) i let it rip for a few minutes and it didnt fill it up as i thought it would.
I got the american dj oil based juice, what american dj recommends.......what can i do if i want to get enough haze to cover lights tat r separated 5ft. from each other? like on a big stage
I have the fog storm 1200 and by the end of the 4 hour gig I feel like I have been in a smokey casino for 12 hours! Thanks for going into detail with this product...I will be getting this very very soon. It's amazing that just a little haze will go a long way! As always great vid!!!
Nice video. Thanks for posting ;D, i realy want one, becuse right now i got the Fogstorm 1200 hd and the fog dissapear too fast. the haze is much better.
Thoes are X-Lasers. One is the X50G and the BIG dual one is the X250G (custom 250 mw job). I'll have to do a video of the X250G once it's warmed up. Takes about 10 minutes to get the diods to full power, but when you do.. WOW!
Hey Brian , nice video and great toys lol, I use 2 for out door events and a fan depending if there wind or so! But would like to get a DP-50 hazer but I saw that having 2 amdj hazers is the same as the big dlls hazers....
I just bought one of these about two weeks ago! I love it, too! I just stored it on its side for a week, and the box got all stained with the juice! =(
The haze generator is a nice entry level hazer, but it doesn't compare in any way to the Lemaitre Neutron XS. What you'll find is a whole added level of control, much more cost-effective use of haze juice and a much thinner haze that works better and is even better on fire alarms and people's lungs.
Chauvet has the HZ-1000, but the LeMaitre is THE true DJ hazer. And yea - Real theatrical hazers are oil based - YUCK!
in reply to maxman4310...the cost for the hazer is about $429, I paid $399 couple of years back and doing a google search i found it for $365 today. Your real savings in the long run will be in the haze juice....a fog machine will eat fog juice at 25 bucks a bottle but a haze machine will last you a long time...
this helped me alot. i still have not decided haze or fog but i am leaning toward haze. the the haze tend to stay toward the ground or float more toward the cealing. or was it just all over? thanks alot. 5 stars
Awsome hazer i have this exact one and it is perfect for most venues. I find the beams are so much crisper and cleaner with the haze as opposed to fog.
I have a question for you Brian where would be the best place to place the haze machine if I have a 10 foot truss in the bottom of the truss or in back of the truss or in front or perhaps clamp it on the truss?
maybe i can help. haze machines usually always sit on the floor, they dont usually have a hanging bracket. they are more omni directional then a fog machine, meaning a fog machine can shoot out fog a great distance and leave a big cloud... so a haze machine should work anywhere near your light setup and will disperse evenly, they are a little more noisier then a fog machine so if the noise bothers you, you can set it a little farther away.
in reply to DJmarkcotter....you can't hear the noise when the music is on. and if the music is off then you can turn the haze machine off. Only problem i found with it was pictures taken at the event came out bad because of reflectoiins of the flashers bouncingn back off the haze....sortta like headbeams in the haze while driving.
Just an FYI...We (our church) has 2 of these hazers that we use every Sunday morning for our Worship service. Two of these will fill our 1,200 seat sanctuary very quickly. In fact, we usually only run it during the "fast" songs (about 15 mins continuous,) and then turn them off during the slow songs. That's plenty to get us through a 30-45 minute worship set. Then, just as quickly as the room filled with haze, it's gone and barely noticeable for the preaching. I HIGHLY recommend them!
Hazer's are very handy to make your lighting stick out, but one very important point is if you own a Oil base Haze machine, you might have a greasy residue in the room. I suggest a water based hazer, less maintenance and residue deposit.... Great vid Brian keep it up...
It's my understanding that you would have to run a machine for a very long period of time, night after night before any kind of noticable residue would be evident in the room. So, unless you are using it as an install item, "that's not a valid crittisizm" (a quote from Dan at X-Laser)
I'm not criticizing, don't get me wrong... I,ve used many different types of fog and hazers over the years. And I have left venues leaving residue behind.... Indeed the air circulation, the size of the space and the quality of your machine will have a big influence, but in my experience it has happened, and more than once with several machines from Chauvet to Antari even a big MDG haszer can leave a residue. My point is awareness not ''crittisizm'', still love your vids, keep up the good work.
I've had mine for 2 years now...never had a complaint about oil residue, nor have I seen it...There is this device called an Air Conditioner that recirculates the air in a venue...it contains filters....FYI
And up here we have natural fog 9 months of the year...and it's free! :)
j/k
Great looking unit..it will be place on my "to look into getting" list along with scanners, moving heads, vertical trussing and a dozen or so Par 64's, and a couple of bass cabs. :) No priority..just when the mood moves me to purchase along with a killer sale.
We used this in our club, twice a week for a year, and there is definite oil residue on all our equipment, light shows, amps, etc. We traced the failure of a piece of equipment to the drippy oil residue. ~

hows the breathing in haze compared to fog? I know to some people they don't like being in a foggy room for too long. Is this that much different?

have you seen the chauvet arena hazer? it kicks but

I have this hazer. I love it. Picked it up for $100 used once.
Here's a trick....plug the hazer into one of the channels on your dmx dimmer. You now have dmx control of your hazer!
